Mecharashi Tier List 2025 – Best ST Mechs Guide

DPS ST Units

Let’s start with the damage dealers—these are your front-liners and carry units.

Meltus

Meltus is one of the most future-proof STs for AoE pilots. His four-piece module gives a strong 30% AoE damage boost, and it works really well with rockets and ray guns. What makes him valuable long-term is that his modules can be crafted and installed on future pilots. If you level him up fully, you even get a -1 mobility debuff that’s perfect for burn terrain setups. He’s easily one of the best picks for AoE damage, and even free-to-play players should consider grabbing at least one copy.

Dragon

Dragon has a cool design and solid stats, but his real problem is how restrictive his module setup is. To get the most out of him, you need a 6 AP skill, which not many pilots actually use often. His rainbow effect is defensive instead of offensive, which isn’t what you want on a DPS ST. He’s not terrible early on, but most players, especially free-to-play, should skip him and wait for better heavy STs like Adele.

Tanos

Tanos was one of the first STs introduced with the flamethrower pilot Arisa. While he has decent healing and some AoE capabilities, his overall impact is pretty underwhelming. His rainbow set needs you to stay above 80% HP to get its full effect, and even then, it only gives a bit of regen. For most players, especially those saving resources, Tanos is an easy skip.

Rex

Now Rex is an early-game gem. His ST is perfect for snipers and anyone who can act again in the same round. The modules offer great buffs that stack and last two turns, which makes them fantastic for pilots who rotate buffs frequently. Even though Rex himself has low HP, his modules are super flexible and work great with high-tier pilots like Asuka and Enus. For free-to-play players, he’s one of the best early investments.

Ranger

Ranger introduced chainsaw weapons, which sounds cool, but his modules are kinda disappointing. His four-piece only gives a 20% bonus, and that’s honestly weak by today’s standards. His rainbow bonus is only useful if you’re above 80% HP, and the stats don’t make up for it. Despite good firepower, Ranger just doesn’t hold up, so you’re better off skipping this one.

Ignite (Arthur)

Ignite is a missile ST with decent reach and solid stats, and he’s a nice upgrade from Naomi. His four-piece module gives 25% damage for missile-type pilots, but the rainbow effect forces you to slow down, which might not work for everyone. He’s worth pulling if you like Arthur, but he’s not a top priority.

Ouroboros (Anus)

This ST looks super strong at first—locked melee pilot, strong AP drain, and high damage potential—but it’s way too expensive to max out. The modules only shine if you pair it with a very specific pilot like Anus or Asuka. If you’re not planning to max it, then it’s probably better to skip and wait for something more flexible like Aster Haze.

Matilda

Matilda’s ST is built around high AP skills, so if you’re into 6+ AP playstyles, she might be for you. Her four-piece offers up to 35% damage, which is amazing—but only if you can actually trigger it. She’s good for futureproof setups and could be used on other pilots later, but if you’re not planning to use high AP skills consistently, you can pass on her.

Shadow Warrior (Adele)

Adele is a hidden gem, especially if you’re into splash or fixed damage styles. Her ST is all about burn terrain and fixed damage, and when used correctly, it dishes out massive numbers. That said, she’s extremely specific. If you don’t have Adele or don’t plan to use her, this ST becomes dead weight.

Fenrir (White)

Fenrir is one of those STs built for PvP survivability. He’s tanky, has amazing stats, and becomes really annoying to deal with if you keep him below full HP. His kit works great with White and is ideal for dodging burst damage in PvP. But again, if you don’t care about White or PvP, you can safely skip him.

Aster Haze (Ada)

This ST is a must-pull, no question. Aster Haze offers a free 35% damage at the start of the battle, and although it decays each turn, it resets if you get a kill. It’s built for one-tap assassins like Ada or Asuka. She’s also got one of the highest firepower stats for a light ST and a rainbow set that gives a strong boost when enemies are above 60% HP. Absolutely worth the pull and max if you want long-term power.

Guardian STs

These STs are all about protecting your team and tanking damage.

Mass

Mass is one of the first guardian STs, and it’s got a straightforward goal: stay near allies and reduce incoming damage. The modules are easy to trigger and give 50% damage reduction, which is great in theory. But the stats are kind of weak and the modules aren’t super useful outside of PvP. If you’re not focused on PvP, it’s better to skip Mass and wait for a better guardian.

Ray

Ray stands out because she can actually block melee damage, which most other guardians can’t do. Her modules are solid and she gets immunity to fixed damage at max level. But there’s a big downside—her modules can’t be crafted, which limits her long-term value. She’s a strong PvP choice, but not necessary otherwise.

Tyrannosa

Tyrannosa might look cool, but this is one of the worst STs in the game unless you’re using Kasha. The module effects only work well with her unique kit, and the rainbow effect is bad unless you use two weapons during attacks. Just skip this one—there are way better STs to spend your pulls on.

Hector (Zoe)

Hector is a meme ST. She’s dodge-based, so her whole thing is surviving by avoiding hits. The catch is, she needs to dodge 14 times to get her full buff—and let’s be honest, that’s not happening reliably. She’s fun to play, but not worth pulling unless you just really love Zoe.

Mechanist STs

Mechanist STs are about support, utility, and healing.

Lorna

Lorna’s ST is a healing-focused mech, but the problem is that her healing bonus doesn’t activate until the target is below 90% HP, which makes it almost useless on turn one. Combine that with weak rainbow effects, and there’s really no reason to pull this over other healers like Snowy Old or Blazer.

FIA

FIA’s ST is very specialized—it works well for pilots who apply buffs during their attacks. It extends debuff durations and has decent stats, but it’s way too specific and mostly only works with FIA herself. If you’re not building her, skip this ST.

Smith

Smith is a strong choice if you want to build a support mechanist. He reduces AP for allies and can act again after healing. He’s not must-have, but if you’re looking to build a solid mechanist core, grabbing one copy for module reuse is a smart play.

Snowy Old (Sapientia)

This ST is a healer’s dream. Every time you heal an ally, it gives a stacking damage buff, and at rainbow level you can act again and even prevent fatal damage. She’s a must-pull for any mechanist lineup and especially strong in turn-based PvE content.

Tactical, Limited & Special STs

Asuka

Asuka’s ST is extremely strong, but there’s a catch—it doesn’t let you produce modules for other STs. If you pull her, you really need to go all in and max her out to get full value. You get double module effects from just two slots, which is crazy powerful, but don’t pull a single copy and call it a day—either max it or skip it.

Shinji

Shinji is great to pair with Asuka. His modules give strong survivability and good damage stacking, and you get him free if you max Asuka. He’s flexible, works great with snipers, and is generally worth using if you’re investing in Asuka already.

Rosa 2.0 (Arinas)

Rosa’s new ST is brutal. Her modules can’t be crafted, but they apply 50% armor shred every single turn from her left arm. That’s insane for any AoE or multi-hit pilot. Just like Asuka, you either max her or don’t bother pulling—she’s not good as a one-copy ST.

Paloma

Paloma’s ST only really works for herself. If she stands still, she gets big crit buffs, but it’s too niche for general use. She can be deadly in PvP, but unless you’re a diehard Paloma fan, it’s a skip.

Rosemary (Dictator)

Rosemary’s ST is a rocket tactician’s dream. If you have enough ammo, you’ll get huge damage boosts, and she can even regain ammo if she hits three or more targets. It’s worth pulling even if your pilot can’t use her command abilities, because her modules are great to transfer.
