This Last War Zombie Invasion Guide will explain my most favorite event in Last War, the Zombie Invasion. This includes a very detailed strategy on how to maximize the gains of this event.
How does the Zombie Invasion work?
It’s simple. During the three-day event, orange zombies appear all over the map. Your task is to kill them. That’s essentially it, but I’ll share my strategy further down.
Note: If you have the opportunity to teleport to another server where the zombie invasion is currently active, take advantage of the chance to kill zombies there too. This also works if the event is not active on your actual server.
What do I need to prepare?
Stamina, stamina, stamina, and a bit more stamina. I personally save almost all my stamina for this event because it’s one of the best uses for it (radar missions, of course, take priority). It’s also important to use all your stamina sources; remember, when your stamina is depleted, you get a free replenishment of 50 stamina twice a day (four-hour cooldown).
What’s the best approach?
The zombies appear at the full hour during the event. This is the best time to start and farm the zombies for about 15 minutes. Always one by one. You’ll see on the map that they appear in small clusters of up to 5 three-zombie groups. Move your team to the first cluster you find and start eliminating them. At irregular intervals, you’ll receive a message saying you’ve found a boss. This is the time to leave that cluster and move to the next one.
Note: The message is quite small and disappears quickly, but you’ll now see zombie bosses appearing on the map next to the small zombies you’ve killed.
Important Tip: If you need to cover large distances, don’t move to a zombie directly, but to a nearby field or mine. This significantly increases your movement speed. With some practice, you’ll get good at targeting a field behind your goal and then switching to a zombie when you’re almost there.
Why do I move on even if there are still small zombies left?
Because you’ve found the boss in the area, which is the first goal. There are no more bosses to find there, so we move on.
Why don’t we kill the boss?
Because it distracts us from what we want to achieve. We want to find as many bosses as possible. This can only be done if, first, many small zombies are present, and second, no boss has been found in the area yet.
What happens with the bosses?
When we have found enough bosses in about 15 minutes and it becomes difficult to find more, we return to base and start assemblies on the bosses. This will give us additional rewards. However, even if we don’t kill them, we still receive a reward via mail if someone else kills them. So, by finding them, we already secure a good reward.
What rewards are there in Last War Zombie Siege?
The rewards include drone combat data, experience points, iron, food, and gold. The level 10 zombies in small groups also have a chance for equipment crates and survivors. The assembly initiator receives additional rewards from the same categories when attacking a boss (Level 5, 10, 15, 20, etc.).
If a boss found by us is killed by someone else, we receive the same rewards again via mail. So the ideal situation is to find a boss and kill it in an assembly you’ve started.
Event Store
In addition to the already very good rewards, there is an event store where you can exchange the bravery medals you collect during the event for various goods. Note that this event store is only accessible during the event via the corresponding event page. However, unused bravery medals do not expire but remain in your inventory and can be used for shopping at the next event.
