Today we will talk about Last War Tactical Drone Guide and Where can you get a tactical drone, How to increase drone’s attack power ans all other information which will help you learn about Tactical Drone in Last War.
Last War Tactical Drone Guide – Components, Cost, Chest
Where can I get a tactical drone? – This happens almost automatically. First, you need to complete the exploration missions around your base, mastering the first 38 levels and rescuing the SSR heroe Monica. Once that is done, you can build a Drone Center within your base. This is the airport for your tactical drone. The building starts at level 1 and cannot be upgraded.
How do I deploy the drone?
As mentioned, the drone works completely autonomously. So you don’t need to do anything special. How the drone operates depends on its level and upgrades. Initially, the drone will be positioned stationary behind your attacking team. In this state, it will support your teams and also attack.
As the level increases, the tactical drone will start flying and will attack your enemies from the air. The good thing is that the drone cannot be attacked.
How do I increase my drone’s attack power?
There are various ways to improve the drone’s performance.
Attributes
Like your heroes, your drone also has a level between 1 and 150. The level increases by alternating between using combat data and drone parts. On the “Attributes” page in your Drone Center, you can always see whether you need drone parts or combat data and how much of each is required to reach the next level.
Note: Using combat data and drone parts gives extra points for the VS Alliance Duel every Monday.
Where can I get combat data?
You primarily gather combat data through battles against zombies on the world map and by completing radar missions. Some events offer a higher yield of combat data, such as the Zombie Invasion.
Additionally, you can purchase it from the Campaign Shop, where you can buy 10,000 combat data for 1,000 quest honor points, up to 1,000 times per week.
Where can I get drone parts?
There are several ways to obtain drone parts. The number of drone parts needed increases with each level, so it’s wise to take advantage of every opportunity. Before the weekly restocking of the various shops, be sure to buy all the drone parts you can afford.
Various shops offer drone parts in exchange for different currencies:
- VIP Shop – 50 parts/week for 400 diamonds each
- Alliance Shop – 10 parts/week for 1,000 alliance points each
- Honor Shop – 100 parts/month for 800 honor points each
- Campaign Shop – 30 parts/week for 300 quest honor points each
- Zombie Invasion Event Shop – 50 parts/event for 200 courage medals each
Additional drone parts are available in various daily and weekly packages and regular offers.
Test Flight Failure
Test flight failures occasionally appear in radar tasks and are conducted with multiple alliance members. A drone will land near the alliance and needs to be repaired. If you have this radar task, start it, click on the crashed drone, and link it in the alliance chat. Always keep an eye on the alliance chat to be informed about test flight failures from other alliance members.
Note: There’s usually also a Discord channel for excavators and test flight failures – use it to inform other members about the test flight failure.
To conduct the repair, simply click on the crashed drone, then on the repair icon, wait for the countdown to finish, and collect your reward. You need to act fast. The rewards vary, but they often include drone parts or drone component chests.
Note: The test flight failure, like the excavators, has a countdown of 8 hours. If it’s not completed within this time, it will disappear. Therefore, it should be completed even if no radar missions are supposed to be done.
Components
Components are the second way to upgrade your tactical drone. From Base Level 15 onwards, you can upgrade your drone with six different drone components:
- Radar (increases drone HP)
- Turbo Engine (increases hero HP)
- External Armor (increases hero defense)
- Thermal Imager (increases drone defense)
- Fuel Cell (increases drone attack)
- Airborne Missile (increases hero attack and ability damage)
You obtain components by opening drone component chests. Each chest contains a random component, with the first three on the list having a 22.2% chance and the last three having an 11.1% chance. Additionally, each chest has a level, which corresponds to the level of the component inside.
Where can I get drone component chests?
There are many sources for drone component chests. It’s important to pay attention to the level of the chests, as this determines the level of the component inside.
Note: Opening drone component chests on Wednesdays gives extra points for the VS Alliance Duel. Save all the chests you find during the week and open them on Wednesday. The higher the chest level, the more points you get for the duel.
This is one of the buildings within your base. Once built, it produces Level 1 drone component chests. With each upgrade, the production time for a chest is reduced by 2 minutes from the initial 4 hours. At Level 30, you’ll get one chest every 3 hours. The Component Factory has a maximum production time of 24 hours, during which you need to collect the finished chests to avoid halting production.
The notification bubble above the Component Factory is always active, showing the progress of the current production. A white-green background indicates production progress, and the number below shows how many chests are ready to be collected. If the bubble turns gold, it means production has stopped, and the finished chests should be collected immediately to resume production.
Battles, Events, and Secret Missions
In battles against zombies and bosses, during various events, and as rewards for completing secret missions, you can regularly obtain drone component chests of different levels. Being active pays off.

Shop
Some chests can be purchased in various in-game shops in exchange for one of the many currencies.
- Alliance Shop – Level 1 Chest Level 1 – 20 chests/week for 1,000 alliance points each
- Campaign Shop – Level 3 Chest Level 3 – 3 chests/week for 200 quest honor points each
- Zombie Invasion Event Shop – Level 3 Chest Level 3 – 3 chests/event for 360 courage medals each
Additional chests are available in various daily and weekly packages and regular offers.
Merging Components
Whenever you have three identical components of the same type and level, you can merge them into one component of the next higher level. The easiest way to do this is through the Bulk Merge button.
In the example on the right, you can see how many components of one type but different levels are combined into higher-level components. Here’s the step-by-step breakdown of the merging process:
- 24 Level 1 components become 8 Level 2 components
- 25 + 8 Level 2 components become 11 Level 3 components
- 4 + 11 Level 3 components become 5 Level 4 components
- 0 + 5 Level 4 components become 1 Level 5 component, 2 Level 4 components remain
- 2 + 1 Level 5 components become 1 Level 6 component
Drone Skill Chips
The third way to upgrade the tactical drone is through Drone Skill Chips. These are unlocked on day 85 based on the server’s age. Since this upgrade method is quite complex, I have described it in a separate guide.
Skins
Skins represent the final way to improve the tactical drone. They are rather rare and almost always tied to an event. Unfortunately, skins contribute little to improving the drone. They only boost the drone’s attack by 1000 points and the critical rate by 2%. The more interesting effect lies in the drone’s appearance.
The tactical drone is essentially an additional hero that supports your teams and cannot be attacked. It operates autonomously and can be upgraded through attributes, components, skill chips, and skins. All upgrades are time-consuming and costly, requiring combat data, drone parts, component chests, skill chips, and a lot of patience.
I hope you learned something new from this Last War Tactical Drone Guide – Components, Cost, Chest, and I wish you lots of fun with your tactical drone.
