Kingshot Tempered Truegold Guide – Super Refinement

Tempered Truegold is one of those materials that quietly punishes bad planning. If you rush upgrades the moment TG8 unlocks, you will burn through Truegold at an awful rate and still feel permanently short. This guide explains how Tempered Truegold actually works, why most players waste it, and how to squeeze the maximum value out of every single week.

This strategy is especially important for F2P and mid spenders, but even whales benefit from understanding where the efficiency cliffs are.

TG8 and Tempered Truegold

At roughly 310–320 days into a kingdom, Truegold 8 (TG8) building upgrades unlock. From this point forward, regular Truegold is no longer enough. Many upgrades now require Tempered Truegold, a new and much scarcer material.

Unlike standard Truegold, Tempered Truegold cannot be farmed from events, rallies, or shops. The only way to obtain it is through Super Refinement inside the Truegold Crucible, which also unlocks at TG8.

This is where most players start making expensive mistakes.

How Super Refinement Actually Works

Super Refinement lets you convert regular Truegold into Tempered Truegold, but the exchange rate gets worse the deeper you go.

There are a few rules you need to understand first:

You can perform up to 100 Super Refinements per week
The weekly count resets every Monday
When it resets, you are sent back to Tier 1, regardless of how far you progressed

Each refinement pushes you into a higher tier, and higher tiers cost dramatically more Truegold.

Super Refinement Tiers Explained

The tiers are fixed and unavoidable, but how long you stay in each one is entirely up to you.

Tier 1 (Refinements 1–20)
Costs 20 Truegold per refinement
Rewards 1–3 Tempered Truegold (RNG-based)

Tier 2 (Refinements 21–40)
Costs 50 Truegold per refinement
Rewards 2–3 Tempered Truegold (RNG-based)

Tier 3 (Refinements 41–60)
Costs 100 Truegold per refinement
Rewards 3–6 Tempered Truegold (RNG-based)

Tier 4 (Refinements 61–80)
Costs 130 Truegold per refinement
Rewards 3–9 Tempered Truegold (RNG-based)

Tier 5 (Refinements 81–100)
Costs 160 Truegold per refinement
Rewards 3–12 Tempered Truegold (RNG-based)

On paper, higher tiers look tempting because the upper reward range increases. In practice, the Truegold cost ramps up much faster than the average payout.

Rushing Tempered Truegold

Once Tempered Truegold becomes a requirement, many players instinctively rush upgrades past TG5 or spam refinements to hit Tier 4 and Tier 5. This is where efficiency completely collapses.

Tier 1 gives you the best Truegold-to-Tempered-Truegold ratio in the entire system. Every tier after that is progressively worse value unless you are forced there.

There is also a critical bonus that most players overlook.

The Daily Half-Cost Refinement Bonus

Every day, your first Super Refinement costs half the normal Truegold amount.

That means:

In Tier 1, the first refinement costs 10 Truegold instead of 20
In Tier 2, it costs 25 instead of 50
In Tier 3, 50 instead of 100, and so on

This bonus resets daily, not weekly. How you combine this bonus with weekly tier resets is the key to optimal play.

Optimal Weekly Tempered Truegold Strategy

The most efficient strategy balances Tier 1 value with daily half-cost refinements.

What to Do Every Monday

When the weekly reset hits and you are sent back to Tier 1, immediately perform all 20 Tier 1 refinements. Do not spread these out.

Tier 1 is where your Truegold goes the furthest, so you want to fully consume it while the costs are low.

Once you complete those 20 refinements, you will enter Tier 2.

What to Do for the Rest of the Week

From Tuesday onward, perform only one Super Refinement per day.

This keeps you in Tier 2 while repeatedly triggering the half-cost daily refinement, meaning you pay just 25 Truegold each day instead of 50.

You deliberately avoid pushing deeper into Tier 3, Tier 4, or Tier 5, where Truegold efficiency drops sharply.

This approach does three things at once.

First, it maximizes the time you spend in Tier 1, where Truegold conversion is strongest.
Second, it repeatedly exploits the daily half-cost bonus in Tier 2 instead of burning through expensive refinements.
Third, it prevents accidental over-refining that locks you into terrible value tiers for the rest of the week.

Over multiple weeks, this results in significantly more Tempered Truegold for the same Truegold income, without slowing your long-term progression.

Tempered Truegold is not about speed, it is about discipline. The system is designed to bait players into rushing, and rushing is exactly how you fall behind.

If you treat Super Refinement as a weekly routine instead of a panic button, you will consistently stay ahead in TG8 progression without draining your Truegold reserves. This strategy is boring, slow, and extremely effective, which is exactly what you want for late-game resource management.
