In Kingshot, rallies are one of the most crucial mechanics for both PvP combat and large-scale PvE events. Whether you’re pushing a Bear Hunt terror, defending in Swordland Showdown, or rallying against other players, understanding how rallies work—and how to optimize them—can drastically improve your results.
This Kingshot Advanced Rally Guide breaks down the rally structure, skill stacking system, hero selection strategy, and key tactical choices to make your rallies consistently stronger and more efficient.
Kingshot Advanced Rally Guide – Structure, Skill System
Rally Structure Basics
Who Leads and Who Joins?
Every rally has two roles:
- Rally Captain – the player who starts the rally. They control the rally composition and set the pace.
- Rally Members – other alliance members who join to contribute troops and skills.
Once the rally begins, the Captain selects 3 heroes:
- 1 Infantry Hero
- 1 Cavalry Hero
- 1 Archer Hero
These three heroes don’t just bring stats—they provide rally-wide expedition skills and exclusive gear buffs that affect everyone in the rally.
Skill System – How Rally Bonuses Are Selected
Captain’s Contribution
The Rally Captain’s 3 selected heroes contribute:
- 3 expedition skills per hero = 9 total rally-wide skills
- Any exclusive gear effects from those heroes are also shared with all participants
This makes the Captain the single most important player in a rally—so always pick your strongest and most synergistic rally leads.
Rally Members’ Contribution
But it doesn’t stop there. Up to 4 additional skills are added to the rally, sourced from Rally Members.
Here’s how it works:
- Only the first skill of the first hero in each Rally Member’s lineup is eligible.
- These skills are ranked by level.
- The top 4 highest-level first skills (from any member who joins) are selected as supplementary rally skills.
If five players all have the same maxed hero (like Chenko) in their first slot, the first four to join the rally will have their skill selected. But if a later joiner has a higher skill level than one of the first four, it will override a lower-level skill.
⚠️ Only the first skill is ever used. Second and third skills are ignored for rally bonuses.
Skill Stack Rules – What Stacks and What Doesn’t
Understanding which skills stack (apply from multiple players) and which don’t is critical.
- Chance-based expedition skills do not stack.
- Flat or passive buffs that apply to “all friendly units,” “all squads,” or “all troops” do stack.
Examples:
- Doesn’t stack: Jabel’s first skill (chance-based damage mechanic). If several players join with Jabel, only one copy of that skill will apply.
- Stacks: Gordon’s first skill (flat health bonus to all squads). Multiple Gordon skills will all apply and stack additively.
Takeaway: Always check whether your skill is probability-based or flat effect before stacking with others.
Hero Selection Strategy
As Rally Captain
When setting up your rally, you should always use heroes that:
- Have high-level expedition skills
- Provide universal buffs (e.g., all squads, all units, all troop types)
- Synergize well with each other (e.g., health, lethality, defense scaling)
Recommended heroes for Captain (PvE focus):
- Gordon – flat health buff to all troops
- Chenko – lethality bonus to all squads
- Helga / Amadeus / Quinn – depending on your rally focus (damage or sustain)
Always pre-coordinate your hero setup in Alliance chat, especially during major events. The Rally Captain’s selection affects everyone’s performance.
As Rally Member
If you’re joining a rally, your focus should be on:
- Making sure your first hero has a high-level first expedition skill
- Using heroes that give stackable buffs or that no one else is currently using
- Avoiding duplicate heroes if you know their skills won’t stack
Best Rally Joiners:
- Chenko (Stand of Arms) – popular for its powerful rally-wide lethality buff
- Amadeus, Yeonwoo, Gordon – useful depending on skill level and availability
- Avoid: Jabel in multiple slots unless no better options are available
Rallies in PvE vs PvP
PvE (e.g., Bear Hunt, Terror Rallies)
- Prioritize heroes with expedition-focused damage bonuses
- Favor lethality and troop-wide buffs
- Use Joiner-type heroes in reinforcement roles
- Don’t use defensive heroes—they don’t contribute enough to damage scaling
PvP (e.g., Showdown, Garrison Fights)
- Rally Captain should use universal scaling buffs
- Members should bring non-duplicating utility skills
- Use Gordon in Garrison setups for flat squad health boosts
- Avoid using heroes whose skills don’t affect rally size or combat durability
Rally Example Breakdown
Let’s say you start a Bear Hunt Rally:
- Captain:
- Gordon (all troop health +25%)
- Chenko (lethality bonus)
- Amadeus (squad damage amp)
- First 4 Rally Members:
- Player A: Chenko (Level 5 skill)
- Player B: Gordon (Level 5)
- Player C: Amadeus (Level 5)
- Player D: Jabel (Level 4)
Only Player A–C’s first skills get selected, and Jabel might be skipped if a Player E joins with a better Level 5 first skill on another hero.
Rallies are more than just a group march—they’re a layered, skill-driven system where timing, hero selection, and player coordination determine the outcome.
