The latest Slap Battles update has introduced two major additions — Moon Mastery and the all-new Lag Glove. This guide breaks down everything you need to know about unlocking the Lag Glove, earning the 2000 Ping badge, and what you’ll need to prepare beforehand.
The Lag Glove is one of the newest gloves added in the latest Slap Battles update. As its name suggests, it’s themed around high ping and internet “lag.” To unlock it, you’ll need to earn the 2000 Ping badge, which is tied to a special in-game challenge that’s more complex than it first appears.
Badge Requirement: 2000 Ping
To obtain the Lag Glove, you first need to unlock a badge called “2000 Ping.”
As the name implies, the badge seems related to reaching a ping value of 2000 ms in-game — basically, an extreme level of lag.
However, this isn’t the only way to get it. There’s also a secondary, far more intricate method that involves combining several glove effects in one sequence.
Lag Glove Obtainment Method (Step-by-Step)
Here’s the method currently believed to unlock the Lag Glove based on in-game findings and early testing from the community:
- Equip the Error Glove
You’ll start by using the Error Glove, which is essential for triggering the next steps. - Get Hit by the Confusion Glove
Ask a friend to slap you using the Confusion Glove. Make sure you’re actively under its disorienting effect. - While Still Confused, Get Hit by the Trojan Glove
Next, have another friend use the Trojan Glove on you. This stacks another status effect on top of Confusion. - Get Hit by the Ping Pong Glove
Immediately after that, someone should slap you with the Ping Pong Glove. The timing here is important — you need to still be under the previous effects. - Use Your Error Glove Ability (Press E)
Normally, pressing E with the Error Glove teleports you to “Brazil,” but in this case, you’ll start to lag instead. If done correctly, your screen will stutter and eventually your character will “die,” triggering the 2000 Ping badge.
This process is tricky and may require 3–4 friends helping you. Timing and coordination are key, as each glove effect needs to overlap.
Alternative Method
If that multi-step method doesn’t work or is too complicated, you might still earn the badge by reaching an actual ping of 2000 ms in-game.
However, artificially reaching that ping level isn’t easy — Roblox servers typically prevent connections that unstable. So, for now, the multi-glove method is the most reliable way known.
Required Gloves Recap
You’ll need access to the following gloves to complete the process:
- Error Glove
- Confusion Glove
- Trojan Glove
- Ping Pong Glove
If you don’t have these yet, you can find them all within the standard Slap Battles glove selection area.
The Lag Glove is one of the most creative additions to Slap Battles yet — both in concept and the way you unlock it. The idea of triggering a fake lag sequence to earn a “2000 Ping” badge fits perfectly with the game’s chaotic style.
If the exact obtainment process changes, it’s worth checking the developer’s announcements or comments on the original showcase video. But for now, the steps above are your best bet to unlock the Lag Glove and flex your new chaotic power in battle.
