Final Stand Remastered brings back the classic feel of grinding, transforming, and showing off power levels — but one thing that still confuses new players is which race to pick.
Each race has its own playstyle, transformation path, and late-game scaling. Some races pop off early, others are slow burns that become monsters later on.

Here’s a full breakdown of every race, what makes them good (or bad), and what kind of player should use them.

Dragon Ball Final Stand Remastered Race Guide – Builds

1. Frieza Race — Best for Beginners & Fast Leveling

If you’re new to Final Stand Remastered, start with Frieza Race.
This race is built for key-based combat, meaning your beams and blasts do ridiculous damage, especially early on.
They get their transformations way earlier than most races, and that alone makes grinding much easier.

Friezas are perfect for clearing mobs and raids because you can melt enemies before they even touch you.
They’re not bad in PvP either — fast projectiles and early forms let you dominate in fights where you control distance.

Pros:

  • Best early-game damage in the game.
  • Strong key moves and early forms.
  • Easy to grind and level up.

Cons:

  • Not great for melee builds.
  • Key regen can run out fast if you spam too much.

Best For: New players, grinders, and anyone who prefers ranged/key damage.

2. Majin — Flexible, Fun, and Great in PvP

Majins are one of the most fun and dynamic races to play. You can go either melee or key build and both work really well.
What makes them stand out is their absorption ability — when you kill an enemy with it, you steal their stats for a bit.
They also have this weird but awesome mechanic where they bounce off walls instead of getting ragdolled. It sounds small, but in PvP, it’s clutch.

Majins don’t rely on strict transformations like Saiyans or Humans, so you get to play more freely without worrying about key drain.
They’re also very tanky naturally, making them great for raids and 1v1 fights.

Pros:

  • Can go key or melee.
  • Has sustain and absorb mechanics.
  • Super strong in PvP, solid in PvE.

Cons:

  • Takes some time to learn.
  • Damage scaling depends on your stat investment.

Best For: Players who like aggressive and flexible playstyles.

3. Saiyan — Classic Powerhouse, Needs Forms to Shine

Everyone loves Saiyans, but in Remastered, they start weak.
Without transformations, they feel underpowered — but once you unlock Super Saiyan forms, the game changes completely.

Saiyans are burst-heavy, meaning they do insane damage when transformed but can burn out fast if you’re not careful with key.
Super Saiyan 2 and 3 are still some of the best forms in mid to late game. If you stick with the grind, you’ll be rewarded with massive power spikes.

Pros:

  • Insane damage once transformed.
  • One of the best races for flashy fights.
  • Classic Saiyan gameplay — transforms, key blasts, huge combos.

Cons:

  • Weak early game.
  • High key drain without capsules or regen.

Best For: Players who want that traditional Dragon Ball feel — big transformations, big damage.

4. Human — Weak Start, Monster Late Game (Mystic Form)

Humans are the slow burners of Final Stand Remastered.
At the start, they’re nothing special — you’ll feel weaker than most races. But once you hit level 153, you unlock Mystic, and that’s where things flip.

Mystic is currently one of the strongest forms in the entire game. It boosts everything — key, melee, stamina — and doesn’t have the crazy drain issues Saiyans deal with.
Humans also get Kaioken earlier on, which is solid for mid-game power spikes.

The grind is long, but if you stick with it, Humans are absolutely worth it.

Pros:

  • Mystic form is top-tier.
  • Balanced stats for all playstyles.
  • Doesn’t rely on pure RNG or raids.

Cons:

  • Painful early grind.
  • Weak until Mystic unlock.

Best For: Players who want long-term strength and like steady progress.

5. Namekian — Tanky Regenerator With Unique Utility

Namekians are great for players who like sustain, defense, and versatility.
They have passive regeneration, can build for either key or melee, and have the Ultimate Namekian Form, which gives strong buffs and great durability.

They’re not bursty like Saiyans or Friezas, but they can survive longer than most races in raids or boss fights.
If you like steady play and don’t want to rely on constant transformations, Namekian is a solid choice.

Pros:

  • Great HP regen and sustain.
  • Strong tank-style gameplay.
  • Useful in both solo and group content.

Cons:

  • Damage output isn’t amazing.
  • Slow farming without high stats.

Best For: Defensive players or anyone who likes self-healing and outlasting opponents.

6. Clanker (Android) — Interesting Idea, Weak Execution

Clankers are the Android race, but right now, they’re kind of weak.
They don’t have transformations and struggle with key regen, so unless you specifically like the Android aesthetic, you’ll be at a disadvantage.

That said, Clankers have some potential if you pair them with good capsules and manage key properly.
Still, compared to Frieza or Majin, you’ll feel the gap fast.

Pros:

  • Unique playstyle (robotic theme).
  • Can make key regen work with capsules.

Cons:

  • No transformations.
  • Very limited damage scaling.

Best For: Niche players who want a challenge.

7. Alien (and Subraces) — Too Many, Mostly Mid

The Alien race technically has 10+ subraces, but honestly, most of them are just mid.
A few are okay if you find the right one for your playstyle, but they don’t really stand out.
Most players skip them because their passives don’t compete with the main races.

You can experiment if you like weird mechanics, but don’t expect anything broken.

Pros:

  • Variety of subraces.
  • Some unique abilities.

Cons:

  • Most are mediocre or underpowered.
  • Lacks identity compared to core races.

Best For: Experimental players or completionists.

8. Gyron — Worst Race (Sorry)

Yeah, this one’s rough. Gyron tries to be a tank but fails at both damage and sustain.
Your key becomes a second HP bar, which sounds cool, but in practice, it just means your key is always gone.
It’s tough to play, tough to level, and doesn’t reward the effort.

Pros:

  • Tanky concept.
  • Has resistance boost when low HP.

Cons:

  • Bad damage, slow grind, not fun to use.
  • One of the weakest races in both PvP and PvE.

Best For: Nobody, honestly. Just reroll.

Final Tier Ranking

Tier Race Description
S Majin, Frieza Majin dominates PvP, Frieza owns PvE and grinding.
A Human, Saiyan Great long-term potential (Mystic, SSJ forms).
B Namekian Tanky and reliable, but slower progression.
C Clanker, Alien Playable but needs buffs or niche setups.
D Gyron Just bad.

That’s the full breakdown. Every race has something unique, but right now the meta is clearly Majin and Frieza, with Humans catching up once Mystic unlocks.
