The latest release has made Duet Night Abyss far more balanced than before, but even with the new system, some characters clearly perform better than others. The ranking now depends more on team synergy, ability timing, and skill rotation rather than raw stats.

Here’s our updated tier list for 2025, ranking the best characters in Duet Night Abyss from Tier S to Tier C, based on current performance, versatility, and overall usefulness.

Tier S

Zhiliu

Zhiliu remains one of the most consistent Electro DPS units in the game. Her entire kit revolves around managing Talismans — Zhen for offense and Xun for defense — letting her switch between burst damage and survival depending on the fight.

Her skill Celestial Revelation lets her build these Talismans, while her ultimate changes based on the combination she holds. Thunder’s Oracle Peal gives huge single-target burst, Myriad Things Thrive covers AoE fights with a damaging zone, and Fortune’s Clarity boosts her own skill power.

With her upgrades boosting morale, attack, and team synergy, Zhiliu is both a self-sufficient carry and a valuable ally in Electro-heavy teams. She rewards good timing and consistent skill use — perfect for players who enjoy flexible, technical combat.

Yuming

Yuming stands out as one of the strongest Electro main DPS characters right now. His skill Precipitous Thunderfall makes him dive from the air with massive AoE damage, while Grimscales transforms him into a nonstop lightning storm that deals damage every second.

He builds Reverse Scales during combat, which power up his special attack Starstorm Descent, hitting like a nuke and even buffing nearby teammates’ skill damage. His passive also reduces enemy Electro resistance, so his damage ramps up the longer the fight goes.

Once upgraded, Yuming becomes both a top-tier DPS and a supportive damage amplifier for the team. He’s flashy, powerful, and dominates longer battles with ease.

Hilda

Hilda is a Pyro DPS who shines in AoE-heavy fights. She controls mechanical turrets called Dirtexpellers, which continuously blast enemies with fire. Her skill Pyrolytic Cleaning activates these turrets, while Wholehearted Service summons more of them and disarms nearby enemies.

You can have multiple turrets running at once, turning Hilda into a walking Pyro machine gun. Her passive also makes her reload automatically after dodges and increases her attack speed, so she never loses tempo.

Hilda is perfect for players who enjoy fast-paced, non-stop action. With her turrets fully active, she can melt entire waves of enemies while still staying mobile.

Truffle & Filbert

This duo brings one of the best mixes of healing, mobility, and utility in the game. Truffle rides her companion Filbert, and her skill Trotters Trot-Trot lets him charge forward, healing allies and boosting their attack. When mounted, the skill becomes stronger but drains Sanity quickly.

Their ultimate Tummy Full, Hands Full puts Truffle in full mount mode, letting her deal damage just by moving and healing her team as she goes. Her passive grants stacking buffs the longer she stays active, boosting both attack and defense over time.

Truffle & Filbert work best in teams that like to stay close and move together. They keep everyone alive while still dealing solid damage, making them one of the most reliable supports in the game.

Fushu

Fushu is a Hydro support who focuses on healing, shielding, and boosting ally attack speed. Her skill Subcelestial Solace summons Yunchi spirits that attack enemies and heal allies simultaneously. Her ultimate Holistic Harmony adds shields, faster attack speed, and a teamwide skill damage buff through Nine-Needle Therapy.

Her passive gives her and her allies a stacking skill speed boost every time they use abilities, so her team gets faster and deadlier as fights go on. She’s a perfect pick for aggressive, skill-heavy comps that want consistent sustain and buffs.

Tier A

Lynn

Lynn is a Pyro damage dealer who thrives on building up and unleashing her firepower. Her skill Deadly Blossom inflicts Laceration, a debuff that stacks as she attacks and then detonates for huge burst damage when it ends.

Her ultimate Gunpowder Revelry switches her to dual rifles, locking her in place but rapidly increasing her attack speed the longer she shoots. She’s deadly if you can keep her safe, especially when paired with units that hold enemies still.

Lynn’s all about positioning and timing — master her rhythm and she’ll outdamage most other Pyro units.

Rhythm

Rhythm is a fast Electro fighter who combines agility and area control. Her Volt Rush dash cuts through enemies, and Electro Vortex shocks everything nearby, linking enemies with electric charges that pull them together.

She can convert her Sanity into Electric Energy, which powers up her skills and gives her a smooth, non-stop attack flow. Rhythm works best when she’s constantly moving, dashing, and chaining attacks across enemies.

Pair her with tanks or crowd control characters, and she’ll dominate grouped fights easily.

Daphne

Daphne is a healing and control hybrid who keeps her team alive while debuffing enemies. Her skill Emerald Effusion creates a mist that heals allies and slows opponents, and her ultimate Repulsion Synthesis heals, buffs allies’ attack, and immobilizes nearby enemies.

She’s great for team setups that prefer to stay grouped. Daphne might not deal heavy damage, but she makes your whole squad much harder to kill and creates perfect openings for stronger teammates to strike.

Phantasio

Phantasio is an Umbro DPS who builds stacks through Recitativo, then unleashes chaos with his ultimate Curtain Up, entering Bestial Fury mode for a burst of fast, multi-hit attacks.

He shines when you build his stacks before going all in — timing his fury mode at the right moment turns him into a boss shredder. He works best as a main DPS with supports that keep him alive during his high-risk damage windows.

Rebecca

Rebecca is a summoner-style Hydro DPS. Her jellyfish companions Aurelia Aurita attack automatically and spread Poison of Love, a DoT that transfers to nearby enemies when they die. Her ultimate Lada Lovedew deals more damage for every poison stack, letting her snowball fast in group fights.

She’s especially strong in wave-based or extended battles where her poison can spread endlessly. Combine her with CC characters for maximum value.

Fina

Fina is a support who creates a “Tea Party” field that buffs allies and deals consistent elemental damage. Her On a Warm Afternoon slows enemies, while Let the Tea Party Begin! lets you switch the field’s element between Hydro, Pyro, Electro, and Anemo to match your team’s needs.

Her passive stacks extra power over time, boosting team damage the longer the fight goes. She’s a flexible pick who fits into almost any composition thanks to her multi-element support tools.

Tier B – Decent but Needs Setup

Outsider

Outsider is a stealthy Anemo DPS who can go invisible and strike from the shadows. His Stealthy Prowl lets him sneak up on enemies, while his Predator’s Pounce transforms him into a relentless attacker that trades HP for power and shields.

He’s fun to play but requires careful timing — he can’t heal during his ultimate, so shield supports or healing conversion buffs help a lot. Outsider shines when played aggressively, weaving between stealth and burst phases.

Hellfire

Hellfire is a Pyro brawler who deals damage by taking hits. Her skill Raging Inferno burns enemies nearby every few seconds, and taking damage while active extends the duration and strengthens the burn.

Her Cage of Despair taunts enemies and makes her even tankier, while her passive constantly regenerates HP. Hellfire is all about staying in the middle of the fight and letting enemies burn themselves trying to kill her.

Tabethe

Tabethe is a Hydro support with a unique playstyle centered on her Tentacles. Her skill Tabethe’s Specialty commands all active Tentacles to attack and boosts her team’s Hydro damage. Her ultimate Brawl for Justice! summons a ring of Tentacles that attack and can immobilize enemies.

Her passive lets her spawn Tentacles by landing critical hits with ranged weapons. She’s best in teams that focus on crowd control and sustained AoE damage, keeping enemies locked down while your main DPS does the real damage.

Tier C – Niche Picks

Berenica – Needs strong team synergy to be effective.
Sibylle – Situational and weaker compared to other supports.
Margie – Fun to play but not worth building over stronger units.

That concludes our updated Duet Night Abyss Tier List (October 2025). While every character can perform well with the right team.
