One of the first questions every new Digimon UP player asks is, “Should I reroll?” The short answer is yes—but only if you’re aiming for a specific top-tier Digimon.
Unlike many mobile RPGs that take 20–30 minutes per reroll, Digimon UP makes the process surprisingly quick. A single reroll takes around five minutes, so starting over isn’t a huge commitment. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean you should spend hours chasing the perfect account.
Here’s everything you need to know before deciding whether rerolling is worth your time.
Digimon UP Reroll Guide – How to Reroll for Best Digimon
Rerolling is completely optional.
The game is generous enough that you can clear the story and enjoy early progression without getting the perfect summon. If you’d rather jump straight into playing, you won’t be at a major disadvantage.
However, if you’re the type of player who likes starting with the strongest possible account, rerolling is definitely worth considering because each attempt is so fast.
My recommendation is simple:
- Casual players can safely skip rerolling.
- Competitive players or long-term grinders should consider rerolling for a top-tier SP Support Digimon.
The Biggest Downside of Rerolling
The reroll process itself is quick.
Actually getting the Digimon you want isn’t.
Featured EX+ Digimon like Omnimon have a 0.5% summon rate, meaning you could get lucky on your first pull—or spend dozens of rerolls without seeing one.
Because of the low rates, it’s a good idea to decide beforehand how many rerolls you’re willing to do. Otherwise, it’s easy to spend more time restarting accounts than actually enjoying the game.
Buddy and SP Support Don’t Unlock Immediately
Something many new players don’t realize is that your strongest summons can’t even be used right away.
These systems unlock later through story progression.
| Feature | Unlock Requirement |
|---|---|
| Buddy Digimon | Reach Stage 80 |
| SP Support Digimon | Reach Stage 125 |
So even if you reroll into an amazing SP Support, you’ll still need to progress through the game before you can actually add it to your team.
The upside is that once these systems unlock, you’ll already have a powerful Digimon waiting for you.
Don’t Reroll for the Permanent Banner
The standard permanent summon isn’t worth rerolling.
At the beginning of the game, its summon pool mainly contains Normal (N) rarity rewards, making it a poor use of your rerolls.
Instead, spend your DigiEmeralds on the Special Summon, where you have a chance to obtain featured high-rarity Digimon.
Best Digimon to Reroll For
Omnimon
If you’re only chasing one Digimon, make it Omnimon.
As an EX+ SP Support Digimon, Omnimon remains one of the strongest reroll targets currently available.
Its Unique Skill activates whenever your Partner lands a critical Normal Attack, dealing powerful area-of-effect damage to every enemy.
Even better, the ability has:
- No cooldown.
- Passive activation.
- Consistent damage throughout every battle.
That makes Omnimon incredibly valuable for both story progression and tougher late-game content.
Omnimon vs Nefertimon
Many players wonder whether rerolling is necessary since everyone eventually receives Nefertimon.
While Nefertimon is an excellent free SP Support, there are some important differences.
Omnimon
- EX+ rarity.
- Passive AoE damage.
- Activates on every critical Normal Attack.
- No cooldown.
- Grants a powerful passive Normal Attack Damage bonus.
Nefertimon
- EX rarity.
- Active skill with an 8-second cooldown.
- Boosts Support Digimon damage for a limited time.
- Obtained for free later through progression.
Because Omnimon starts contributing passive damage immediately after unlocking SP Support, it remains the stronger long-term reroll target.
Free Rewards Make Rerolling Easier
Another reason Omnimon is the recommended target is because Yagami Taichi & Agumon are already given away through the game’s pre-registration rewards.
Since you’ll receive those powerful characters for free, you don’t have to spend your rerolls chasing them.
Instead, you can focus entirely on pulling Omnimon.
Fastest Reroll Method
One complete reroll usually takes around five minutes after the initial game download.
Follow these steps for the fastest possible reroll.
Step 1 – Download and Launch the Game
Install Digimon UP on your preferred platform and start the game.
Step 2 – Complete the Initial Setup
Accept the required agreements and choose your preferred language.
You can safely decline optional customer information permissions if you wish.
Step 3 – Skip the Opening Dialogue
Quickly tap through Jijimon’s dialogue to save time.
There’s no need to watch every conversation while rerolling.
Step 4 – Create Your Character
Customize your character’s appearance.
Since you’ll probably repeat this process multiple times, choosing a simple appearance makes future rerolls even faster.
Step 5 – Choose Your Partner Digimon
Select whichever Partner Digimon you like most.
Your choice isn’t permanent because the remaining partners can be obtained later.
Step 6 – Enter Your Name
Use a short temporary name.
Player names can be changed later for free, so there’s no reason to spend extra time thinking of the perfect username during rerolls.
Step 7 – Finish the Tutorial
Complete the opening tutorial until you unlock the Hologram Device and Guide Quests.
Simply follow the game’s instructions while skipping unnecessary dialogue.
Step 8 – Claim Your Free Rewards
Open your Presents and collect all available pre-registration rewards.
These include a large amount of DigiEmeralds, which you’ll use for your first summons.
Step 9 – Reach Guide Quest 5
Continue clearing Guide Quests until the gacha becomes available.
This usually happens after completing Guide Quests 2–4.
Step 10 – Perform Your Summons
Spend your DigiEmeralds on the Special Summon.
If you pull Omnimon or another featured Digimon you’re happy with, your reroll is complete.
Step 11 – Didn’t Get What You Wanted?
If your summons aren’t satisfactory:
- Open the Menu.
- Go to Other.
- Select Delete Account.
- Restart the game.
Repeat the process until you decide to keep an account.
