The Bakery is one of those Detective Duck cases where the objective looks simple at first, but the clues are spread across several areas. You need to investigate the bakery, find the missing evidence, collect information about the suspects, and eventually work out who is actually behind the robbery.
In this guide, I’ll take you through the entire Bakery investigation in the order that makes the most sense. I’ll cover the important items, keys, fingerprints, hidden code, and the small puzzles you need to solve along the way.
The biggest thing to remember is that the obvious suspect is not the person you should vote for. Once we connect the delivery clues, the bakery key, the van, and the notes, the real culprit becomes much easier to identify.
Detective Duck The Bakery Case Walkthrough and Solution
There are two main investigation requirements on this map:
- 7 pieces of evidence
- 8 suspect information clues
You will also need several important items during the investigation, including a coin, bakery key, garage key, lockpick, building entrance key, Room 4 key, and the delivery code.
You don’t necessarily have to understand every clue as soon as you find it. Some of them only make sense once you have gathered the rest of the information.
Start by Investigating the Bakery Area
Your first clue is sitting outside in plain sight.
Look for the tire marks and collect them. This gives you your first piece of evidence.
After that, check the nearby door with your magnifying glass. A fingerprint can be found on it.
Take the fingerprint to the police car and analyze it. This is an important early step because analyzed fingerprints count toward your investigation progress.
Grandpa Gives You the First Important Lead
Now speak with Grandpa.
He gives you a coin and, more importantly, tells you that the key to the bakery has been hidden inside a manual.
That sounds a little strange at first, but this clue tells us exactly what we need to do next.
There is a phone nearby, and you’ll need the coin to use it.
Call the Delivery Number
Go to the phone and insert the coin.
The number you need to call is:
12375
After making the call, a delivery will be arranged and Tommy, the delivery guy, will bring over a package.
Open the package and you’ll find a manual.
Inside the manual is the bakery key.
Take the key and head back to the bakery entrance.
Search Inside the Bakery
Use the key to enter the bakery.
Once you’re inside, look around for the next clue. You will find vanilla flour, which is another important piece of evidence connected to the robbery.
At this point, the investigation starts giving us a clearer picture of what was stolen.
But there’s another item inside the bakery that we need for progression.
Get the Garage Key From the Angry Customer
Find the donut inside the bakery and pick it up.
Take the donut over to the angry customer and give it to him.
In exchange, he’ll give you the garage key.
This is a nice little interaction that can be easy to overlook if you’re only searching for evidence, so make sure you complete it before leaving the area.
Unlock the Garage and Find the Lockpick
Use the garage key to access the garage.
There isn’t a huge puzzle waiting for you here. Instead, look for the lockpick and pick it up.
You’ll need it to open the storage room.
Take the lockpick to the storage room door and start the lockpicking minigame.
Complete the Lockpicking Minigame
The lock has to be successfully picked three times.
The first attempts are fairly manageable, but the final one moves faster, so don’t rush it.
Once all three stages are completed, the storage room opens.
Inside, you’ll find another piece of evidence.
After collecting it, you should have reached the required seven pieces of evidence.
Don’t Forget the Suspect Clues
With the main evidence collected, it’s time to focus on the suspect information.
One of the clues can be found by interacting with a poster.
Simply inspect it to add another suspect clue to your investigation.
There is also another fingerprint waiting inside the bakery.
Search the Refrigerator
Go to the freezer/refrigerator and use your magnifying glass.
You’ll discover another fingerprint.
Collect it and return to the police car to have it analyzed.
While you’re in this area, pick up the letter as well. You don’t need to solve anything from it yet, but it becomes important when we start putting the case together.
Find Two More Keys Upstairs
Now climb the ladder.
There are two important items hidden in this area.
First, pick up the building entrance key.
Then search underneath the pillows to find the Room 4 key.
Once you have both, you can move into the upstairs section of the building.
Investigate Room 4
Use the building entrance key to get inside.
Then use the Room 4 key to open the locked room.
You’ll find another letter inside.
Read it, but don’t immediately assume that everything it says is true.
The letter is designed to make the person connected to Room 4 look suspicious. However, another clue will eventually show us that someone is trying to frame them.
Use the UV Light to Reveal the Hidden Code
This is one of the easiest clues to miss.
Take out your UV light inside Room 4 and inspect the relevant area.
You’ll uncover a hidden delivery code:
365
Remember that number.
We’re going to use it downstairs to reveal the final piece of the suspect information.
Enter the 365 Delivery Code
Head back downstairs and locate the delivery code terminal.
Enter:
365
Once the code is accepted, you should have all the information required to finish the investigation.
Now comes the most important part: figuring out who actually committed the robbery.
The Room 4 Suspect Is a Red Herring
At first, the evidence seems to point toward the person living in Room 4.
There’s a note that appears to blame them for stealing the vanilla powder. If you only look at that clue, it would be easy to vote for them.
But the rest of the investigation tells a different story.
The case information says the culprit locked the bakery after the robbery. This means the thief had access to the bakery keys.
We already discovered that the bakery key had been hidden inside the manual.
The culprit also escaped using a van.
That’s where the suspect information becomes extremely useful.
Why Arthur Matches the Evidence
Look at Suspect 7.
The information tells us that this person:
- Drives a white van
- Delivers ingredients
- Has an employee ID
- Could have legitimate access to the bakery
Those details line up with Arthur.
The delivery clues also connect Arthur to the package associated with the hidden 365 code.
This is much stronger evidence than the note that attempts to blame the Room 4 resident.
Arthur Framed the Other Suspect
The note upstairs is essentially there to mislead you.
Arthur had a reason to be around the bakery because of his delivery work, had access that could allow him to enter the building, and matches the vehicle information from the case.
The evidence therefore points toward Arthur as the person who committed the robbery and then tried to shift the blame onto someone else.
Once all of these clues are viewed together, the final decision becomes clear.
Final Answer: Vote Arthur
When the game asks you to select the culprit, choose:
Arthur
Submit the vote and the game should confirm that you selected the correct suspect.
You’ll then receive the final case summary showing that Arthur was responsible for the Bakery robbery.
The Bakery Investigation in Short

- Open the manual and take the bakery key.
- Enter the bakery.
- Collect the vanilla flour.

- Enter 365 at the delivery terminal.
- Review the completed case information.
- Match the clues to Arthur.
- Vote for Arthur.
The Bakery case is mainly about connecting clues rather than simply collecting items. The game deliberately gives you information that makes the Room 4 resident look guilty, but the delivery details and suspect information reveal that the situation is more complicated.
The key clues are the bakery key, the white van, the ingredient deliveries, the employee ID, and the delivery code 365. Put those together and Arthur becomes the clear answer.
So if you’re stuck on the final vote, don’t let the upstairs note fool you. Finish the investigation, compare the suspect information, and choose Arthur to successfully close The Bakery case.
