Once you’ve selected a ghost in the journal, the confession booth will open. It doesn’t matter whether the ghost choice is correct — you can still complete the exorcism.
Before entering, make sure the third objective is already completed, since this step cannot begin without it.
Finding the Sinner
In solo play, you are always the sinner.
In multiplayer, you must use the Ectoplasm Glass to check each teammate. One player will have a glowing cross with a serpent above their head — that person is the sinner.
Only the sinner can perform the ritual steps inside the confession booth.
Entering the Confession Booth
The sinner must enter with no items at all.
Once inside, sit on the chair to trigger the sequence. After a short scare, the player is transported into a past version of the chapel.
The layout remains the same, but teammates are not present.
Following the Ghost Girl
A ghost girl will appear and guide you toward the Sacristy Room. Following her leads to a mechanism that contains a lever needed later.
In the past world, the main ghost cannot harm you, but another creature will appear during the puzzle.
Sacristy Candle Puzzle
Inside the Sacristy, pull the lever to start the puzzle. A creature will spawn after about thirty seconds.
Candles must be lit in order based on the dates shown above them, from the oldest to the most recent.
If the order is incorrect, the puzzle simply resets — it does not kill you.
Once completed, a box opens containing a note needed for the next step.
Returning to the Present
After collecting the lever and note, return to the confession booth and sit again.
This brings you back to the present world, where your teammates should be waiting.
Preparing the Final Ritual
Take the lever to the Sacristy mechanism and insert it. The final lever cannot be pulled until all objectives are completed.
Once everything is done, activating the mechanism begins the final puzzle.
Final Symbol Candle Puzzle
In the Sacristy, you will see candles beneath symbols. The note collected earlier shows the order of symbols to light.
Match each symbol on the note to the corresponding candle and light them in the correct sequence.
You have roughly a minute to complete this puzzle.
Consequences of Failure
If the candle order is wrong, the ritual fails.
A creature will emerge and begin hunting everyone inside the building. Doors lock, hiding does not work, and anyone inside will be killed.
Important Puzzle Details
The symbol order on the note changes each game, but the candle positions in the room always remain the same.
This means players can memorize candle locations to solve the puzzle faster over time.
Completing the Exorcism
If the correct candles are lit in time, the ritual completes successfully and the exorcism ends.
The entire process relies mainly on protecting the sinner, solving puzzles correctly, and finishing objectives before starting the final ritual.
