Dead Rails Train Class Update Guide – New Codes,
New Train Classes
There are 4 train classes, each with unique traits:
1. Cattle Car (Box Car Replacement)
Pros:
- Easier to fortify with sheet metal.
- Zombies can’t get in if properly sealed.
- Possibly good for Egg Slinger (eggs may stay inside).
Cons:
- Made of wood – bullets can go through it.
- Vulnerable to Outlaws and ranged enemies.
- Best For: Defensive builds, Egg Slinger users.
2. Armored Train
Pros:
- Fully bulletproof.
- Comes with built-in turrets + ammo.
- Zombies can’t climb unless from the back.
Cons:
- Slower acceleration.
- Higher fuel consumption.
- Needs teammates to use turrets efficiently.
- Best For: Teams and PvE tanking.
Cover the back with sheet metal for near-invincibility—but you’ll have to climb in from the front!
3. Gold Rush Train
Pros:
- It’s gold. That’s it.
Cons:
- No functional advantage.
- Costs 300 bonds (more than others).
- Bright color might make you more visible.
- Best For: Style over substance players.
4. Normal Train
Still available, but outclassed by the Cattle Car and Armored Train depending on your needs.
