Clover Time Tier List – Best Grimoire, Race & More

If you’re just getting started in Clover Time, there are a lot of things you need to figure out before you can really start building your character. From choosing the right Race and Social Class to getting useful Traits and a strong Grimoire, your choices can make progression much easier.

In this post, we will go through my Clover Time tier list and rank the different Races, Social Classes, Traits, and Grimoires. I’ll also explain what makes each option useful so you can understand what you should aim for when using your rolls.

Some options are pretty straightforward because the rarer choices usually come with better stats. However, Grimoires are a little more complicated since their movesets and PvE damage can make certain choices much more useful than their rarity alone suggests.

Clover Time Tier List – Best Grimoire, Race & More

When it comes to Races and Social Classes in Clover Time, the rankings are mostly based on the stats and bonuses each option provides. The rarer options generally give you stronger bonuses, but that doesn’t mean you always need to chase an S-Tier option immediately.

S-Tier Races

Devil

Devil is one of the strongest Races you can get in Clover Time. It gives you a huge collection of useful bonuses, making it especially good for overall progression and farming.

  • +20% Health
  • +45% Mana
  • +250 Mana
  • +40% EXP
  • +80% HP Regen
  • +80% Stamina Regen
  • +80% Mana Regen

If you manage to roll Devil, I would definitely keep it. The combination of survivability, Mana, regeneration, and EXP makes it extremely useful.

S-Tier Social Classes

Sovereign

Sovereign is the best Social Class for farming-focused progression. Its bonuses give you a nice mixture of regeneration, Mana, EXP, and Yuls.

  • +20% HP Regen
  • +20% Stamina Regen
  • +17.5% Mana
  • +30% Mana Regen
  • +17.5% EXP
  • +22.5% Yuls

The extra Yuls and EXP are particularly useful if you’re trying to speed up your progression and build up your money.

Royal

Royal is another excellent Social Class and gives you very balanced bonuses.

  • +12.5% HP Regen
  • +12.5% Stamina Regen
  • +12.5% Mana
  • +20% Mana Regen
  • +12.5% EXP
  • +15% Yuls

It doesn’t reach the same level as Sovereign, but it is still a very strong option to keep.

A-Tier Races & Social Classes

Elf

Elf is one of the better alternatives if you don’t have an S-Tier Race. It focuses heavily on Mana and regeneration, which is particularly useful if you rely on spells frequently.

  • +30% HP Regen
  • +30% Stamina Regen
  • +30% Mana
  • +120 Mana
  • +60% Mana Regen
  • +25% EXP

For players who like using abilities constantly, Elf can feel extremely comfortable to play.

Dwarf

Dwarf is another useful option, especially as an alternative to Elf.

  • +30% HP Regen
  • +3% Stamina
  • +40% Stamina Regen
  • +15% Mana
  • +40% Mana Regen
  • +15% EXP

It provides strong regeneration and decent overall stats, although Elf generally gives you more Mana-focused benefits.

Noble

Noble is a balanced Social Class that provides several smaller bonuses.

  • +7.5% HP Regen
  • +7.5% Stamina Regen
  • +6% Mana
  • +6% EXP
  • +7.5% Yuls
  • +12.5% Mana Regen

It isn’t the strongest option in the game, but it is still perfectly usable while you’re progressing.

Merchant

Merchant is especially useful if you want an easy boost to your money.

  • +2.5% Mana
  • +3.5% EXP
  • +10% Yuls
  • +7.5% Mana Regen

The +10% Yuls bonus makes Merchant a nice choice for early progression. You don’t necessarily need to rush toward an S-Tier Social Class if you already have Merchant and are benefiting from the extra money.

B-Tier Races & Social Classes

Dwarf

Dwarf has some nice beginner-friendly stats, particularly for survivability and regeneration.

  • +25% HP Regen
  • +5% Stamina
  • +25% Stamina Regen
  • +55 Mana
  • +15% Mana Regen

The main thing holding it back is the lack of an EXP bonus. It is still useful early on, though.

Commoner

Commoner is a basic Social Class with small bonuses across several areas.

  • +2.5% Mana
  • +5% Mana Regen
  • +2.5% EXP
  • +2.5% Yuls

You can use it while starting out, but you will eventually want to replace it with something stronger.

C-Tier Races & Social Classes

Human

Human gives you a small EXP boost, but its other bonuses are quite low.

  • +5% Stamina Regen
  • +5% Mana Regen
  • +5% HP Regen
  • +5% EXP

The EXP bonus is useful, but the overall stats are low enough that I would reroll Human when you have better options available.

Peasant

Peasant is one of the weakest Social Classes and is mostly something you’ll want to replace.

  • +1% Mana
  • +2.5% Mana Regen
  • +1% EXP
  • +1% Yuls

There isn’t much here compared to the higher-tier choices.

How to Reroll Race, Social Class & Traits

Rerolling in Clover Time is pretty simple. You can open the Menu in the top-right corner and go to Customize.

From there, switch to the Rolls menu at the top to access your rolls.

You can also speak with the Priest inside the Church in the starting Hage Village if you prefer doing it through an NPC.

Overall, the best Race and Social Class choices are largely determined by rarity. The higher-rarity options usually give you better stats, but don’t feel like you have to reroll everything immediately. Some A-Tier options can carry you comfortably through progression.

Clover Time Trait Tier List

Traits work in a similar way to Races and Social Classes. Generally, the higher-rarity Traits have stronger effects, although some lower-tier options can still be very useful during the early game.

S-Tier Traits

Chosen One

Chosen One is one of the best Traits you can get because it improves several important stats at the same time.

  • +10% Health
  • +25% HP Regen
  • +10% Stamina
  • +25% Stamina Regen
  • +10% Mana
  • +25% Mana Regen
  • +7.5% EXP

This is an extremely well-rounded Trait. You get better survivability, regeneration, Mana, Stamina, and EXP, so there isn’t really a wasted bonus.

Mana Sensitive

Mana Sensitive is another excellent S-Tier choice, especially if your build relies heavily on spells.

  • +10% HP Regen
  • +12.5% Mana
  • +35% Mana Regen

The huge Mana Regen bonus makes this Trait particularly useful for players who want to spam their abilities.

A-Tier Traits

High Mana

High Mana is a great choice for spell-focused builds.

  • +25 Mana
  • +17.5% Mana Regen

If you’re constantly using spells, the additional Mana and Mana Regen can be more useful than a purely defensive Trait.

Strong Body

Strong Body is a good option if you’re struggling with survivability or progression.

  • +7.5% Health
  • +22.5% HP Regen
  • +5% Stamina
  • +12.5% Stamina Regen

This Trait gives you a noticeable boost to your health and regeneration, making it easier to survive while you’re progressing.

B-Tier Traits

Fast Learner

Fast Learner is a very useful beginner Trait because of its EXP bonus.

  • +5% Mana Regen
  • +10% EXP

The extra EXP can help you progress faster, especially during the early stages of the game.

Coin Eye

Coin Eye is another useful early-game Trait.

  • +2.5% Mana Regen
  • +5% Yuls

The additional Yuls can make early progression easier, while the Mana Regen is still helpful for ability usage.

Both Fast Learner and Coin Eye are solid choices when you’re starting out. You don’t need to immediately reroll them if you’re still building your character.

C-Tier Traits

Iron Lungs

Iron Lungs is one of the weaker Traits and doesn’t provide enough value compared to the higher-tier choices.

Thick Skin

Thick Skin is also a lower-tier option. It can be used while you’re starting out, but you’ll eventually want something stronger.

Steady Hands

Steady Hands falls into the same category. It’s usable, but I would look for a better Trait once you have enough rolls.

For the later stages of Clover Time, I recommend aiming for at least an A-Tier Trait or higher. However, B-Tier options like Fast Learner and Coin Eye can still be very helpful while you’re progressing through the early game.

Clover Time Grimoire Tier List

Grimoires are a little different from Races, Social Classes, and Traits. With Grimoires, you shouldn’t only look at rarity. Their movesets, damage, and overall usefulness in PvE also matter.

Here is how I would rank the current Grimoires.

Tier I – Best Grimoires

Anti Magic

Anti Magic is one of the best Grimoires in Clover Time. It has a strong variety of moves and performs extremely well for PvE damage.

If you’re looking for a Grimoire that can handle different situations while giving you strong damage, Anti Magic should be one of your main targets.

Poison

Poison also sits in the top tier thanks to its strong PvE performance and useful move variety.

Together with Anti Magic, Poison is one of the main Grimoires I would look for if you’re trying to build a strong PvE character.

Tier II – Great Grimoires

Ice

Ice is a strong alternative to the top-tier Grimoires. It provides good PvE damage and is still very useful for progression.

Explosive Flame

Explosive Flame is another solid choice with strong damage potential. While it doesn’t quite reach the level of the top Grimoires, it can still perform very well.

Battle Lightning

Battle Lightning is usable and provides good PvE performance, although it currently sits below the top choices.

It is still a decent Grimoire to have, but compared to the others in the list, I would like to see some improvements to Lightning.

Tier III – Decent Grimoires

Chain

Chain is usable for progression, but its overall damage combinations aren’t as strong as the higher-tier Grimoires.

Water

Water can still get the job done, especially while you’re progressing through the game. However, you’ll eventually want to upgrade if you’re aiming for stronger PvE damage.

Snow

Snow falls into the same category. It’s usable and can help you progress, but it isn’t one of the strongest choices available.

Earth

Earth is another decent progression Grimoire. It isn’t terrible, but its damage combinations are less optimal compared to the higher tiers.

Fire

Fire is currently one of the weaker Grimoires on this list. You can still use it, especially if it’s what you have early on, but I would reroll it when you have the opportunity.

For Races and Social Classes, the system is fairly straightforward because rarity usually means better stats. Devil, Sovereign, and Royal are the standout S-Tier options, while choices like Elf, Dwarf, Noble, and Merchant can still give you plenty of value without needing the rarest rolls.

Traits work in a similar way. Chosen One and Mana Sensitive are the main S-Tier targets, while High Mana, Strong Body, Fast Learner, and Coin Eye are all useful alternatives depending on how you’re building your character.

Grimoires are where things get more interesting. Anti Magic and Poison are currently the top choices for PvE, followed by Ice, Explosive Flame, and Battle Lightning. Chain, Water, Snow, Earth, and Fire can still help you progress, but their damage combinations are generally less optimal.

So if you’re rerolling in Clover Time, don’t feel like you need to chase the absolute best option immediately. Keep a useful setup while progressing, and then work toward the higher-tier Race, Social Class, Trait, and Grimoire once you have enough rolls.
