Finding the right cable puzzle solution in We Were Here Tomorrow can grind your co-op session to a complete halt if you mismanage your power routes. You need to activate specific modules in a precise order to power the system and unlock three colored doors without getting stuck.
This puzzle trips up a lot of teams because you cannot activate every available module or revisit a node once it is used. I wasted plenty of time stumbling into dead ends before figuring out the exact path through the generator grid.
Double-check your starting panel labels and grab your partner before diving into the steps below. You will find the complete module sequence, door requirements, and troubleshooting steps right here.
Follow the route below to solve this cable puzzle without getting stuck when the power stops moving forward. You also don’t need to activate every available module.
We Were Here Tomorrow Cable Puzzle Solution
Activate the modules in this exact order, starting from GEN:
GEN → Ψ01 → Ψ04 → Ψ02 → Ψ03 → Ψ06 → Σ04 → Σ03 → Σ01 → Σ02 → Ψ08 → Θ03 → Δ02 → Δ03 → λ02 → λ03 → λ01 → Ψ07
Follow this sequence exactly the same way as shown above. You can activate each module only once, and your next move must follow a valid cable connection from the module you just activated.
How to Unlock the RED, GRE, and BLU Doors
The three colored doors control access to additional modules. You must activate the correct module to open each door.
| Detail | Info |
|---|---|
| RED Door | Activated by Σ03 (Unlocks Δ01, Δ03, Δ04) |
| GRE Door | Activated by Σ02 (Unlocks Θ01, Θ02, Θ03, Θ04) |
| BLU Door | Activated by Δ03 (Unlocks λ01, λ02, λ03) |
You will unlock these doors as you follow the main route:
- Activate Σ03 to open the RED door.
- Activate Σ02 to open the GRE door.
- Activate Δ03 to open the BLU door.

Cable Puzzle Rules Explained
Keep these rules in mind if you are trying to understand how the puzzle works:
- Start at GEN: This is your starting point.
- Follow connected modules: You can activate only a module connected to the one you activated immediately before it.
- Never revisit a module: Every module can be used only once during a route.
- Know your starting options: GEN, all Ψ modules, all Σ modules, Δ02, and Δ05 are initially available.
- Don’t enter the colored doors: RED, GRE, and BLU represent locked doors, not modules you can activate.
The main challenge is finding a route that reaches the required modules without using up a connection you need later.
Stuck at the Third Battery? Try This
If the cables stop transferring power even after you have activated several modules, check your sequence before assuming the puzzle is bugged.
For the third battery, activate the controls in this order:
W1 → W4 → W2 → W3 → W6 → E4 → E3 → E1 → E2 → W8 → O3 → A2 → A3 → λ2 → λ3 → λ1 → W7
After activating the required generators, press W7 again to continue powering the remaining cables. You don’t need to activate every generator to complete the puzzle.
If you have already completed a battery, you can also use the reset to clear the generators and try another route. A player reported that resetting did not erase their completed battery progress.
Use the main module sequence first, and check your current panel labels if they don’t match what you see in the puzzle.
