Update 27 for Blox Fruits dropped on August 23, 2025, bringing in the highly anticipated Lightning rework alongside a wave of balance adjustments. With these changes, the PvP meta looks completely different from just a week ago. Some old kings of the arena have fallen off, while new contenders are dominating thanks to reworks, buffs, or hidden potential.
If you’re wondering which fruits are worth using in PvP right now, this Week 1 Lightning Update Blox Fruits Fruits Tier List 2025 breaks down every fruit across S+, S, S–, A, B, and C tiers, along with why they sit where they do.
Blox Fruits Fruits Tier List 2025 (Update 27 – Lightning Update, Week 1)
S+ Tier – The Absolute Best
These are the fruits shaping the meta. If you see one of these across from you, expect a tough fight.
Kitsune – Currently the strongest fruit in the game. Its form is insanely fast, versatile, and has almost no downside. With Dragon nerfed into the ground, Kitsune now has free reign over PvP.
Lightning (Rumble) – The star of the update. Massive AoEs, huge damage, combo breakers, and one of the deepest kits in Blox Fruits. The rework made it terrifyingly good.
Dragon (Hybrid/Full) – Even after cost increases and slight nerfs, Dragon remains a monster. Its raw damage keeps it top-tier.
Spirit – Criminally underrated by casual players. In the hands of a skilled user, Spirit can melt you in one combo.
Kitsune (Form Dominance) – Worth emphasizing twice—its dominance is meta-defining.
S Tier
These fruits aren’t quite S+, but they consistently deliver top-tier performance.
Gravity – Heavy AoE and excellent air control make it one of the few reliable answers to Lightning.
Gas – Recently buffed, making it a real PvP threat. Not as universal as Lightning, but still a monster in ground fights.
Dragon (Form) – Hybrid mode is preferred now, but full form is still dangerous in the right hands.
Yeti – Tanky, annoying, and still powerful after nerfs. A spam-heavy but reliable pick.
T-Rex – Post-buff, this fruit burns enemies down with form damage and builds rage faster. Definitely one of the scarier S–S tier picks.
S– Tier
Strong picks that excel in the right matchups, but not as consistent as S tier.
Light – Cheap, efficient, and scales well with skilled players. It can almost pass as S tier with the right mechanics.
Venom – Still a damage powerhouse, though its kit feels a little outdated compared to newer fruits like Gas.
Phoenix – One of the best air-camp fruits, though easily countered. Underestimated, but deadly if mastered.
A Tier
These fruits can win fights, but they aren’t as reliable in the current Lightning/Kitsune-dominated meta.
Buddha – M1 spam is strong, but higher-skill opponents can handle it.
Flame – Strong aerial play and solid utility. One of the weaker A tiers, but still viable.
Rubber – A direct counter to Lightning, which alone keeps it relevant despite its clunky kit.
Shadow – Still hits hard with its V move, but not used much anymore.
Quake / Spider – Solid, but outdated compared to newer fruits.
Venom – Slightly weaker than Gas now, but still an A-tier pick.
B Tier
You’ll see these around, but most of them are overshadowed by meta fruits.
Chop, Blizzard, Control, Dark, Ghost – All functional, but niche and weaker than their competitors.
Ice – Once considered top-tier, but struggles against air-heavy meta.
Leopard – Currently the weakest mythical fruit, overshadowed by Kitsune and Dragon.
Love, Magma, Mammoth, Pain, Sound – Can work in the right matchups, but inconsistent.
Portal – Nerfed into the ground with Portal C changes. Still usable, but not meta anymore.
Magma – Great burst potential, but struggles against meta picks.
C Tier
Mostly outdated, clunky, or meme-tier fruits.
Bomb, Creation, Diamond (post-nerf) – Occasionally useful, but nowhere near meta level.
Rocket, Spike, Spin, Spring, Smoke, Sand – Fun in casual play, but non-viable in serious PvP.
The Update 27 Week 1 Lightning Update (August 23, 2025) has completely shaken up the PvP landscape. Kitsune, Lightning, Spirit, Dragon, and Gravity are dominating, while older legends like Leopard, Dough, and Control have fallen far behind.
If you’re serious about PvP, your best bet is to master one of the S+ or S tier fruits, but remember—matchups, counters, and skill still matter. Rubber might not look flashy, but its ability to counter Lightning makes it one of the smartest “off-meta” picks right now.
