In Bloodlines, Traits and Flaws play a subtle but critical role in shaping how your character performs in combat, travels the world, or interacts with systems like chakra regeneration, food, and sin. This Bloodlines Traits & Flaws Guide will walk you through:
- How traits/flaws work
- How to reroll them
- All known effects and best/worst ones
- How to farm Switch Powder and Wormstone to reroll safely
What Are Traits and Flaws?
Traits are passive buffs (up to 4 max)
You gain a random trait each time you destroy a chakra point — once per age-up.
Some are minor, some are build-defining.
Flaws are passive debuffs (up to 2 max)
You get them by completing quests or actions in sinful ways, like killing Lava Rosa instead of pickpocketing him.
You can reroll both Traits and Flaws using a hidden NPC, as long as you have enough Acumen and Switch Powder.
How to Reroll Traits & Flaws
Requirements:
- 100 Acumen
- 2 Switch Powder
Location: Ai’s Hideout (Training Grounds)
Path:
- Head to Training Grounds
- Look for a hidden cave entrance near the void — be careful not to fall
- Enter and follow the tunnel to Ai’s door
- Press
E
to open the door if closed - Choose:
- “I’m not pleased” → Reroll Traits or Flaws
You can reroll as many times as you want, provided you have the items.
How to Get Switch Powder
Step 1: Get a Wormstone
- Go to Durana Town
- Find the hidden door nearby (press
E
) - Inside, you’ll find multiple pits — only one is safe.
- The correct pit is random per server
- If you pick the wrong one, you die and lose life force
If you survive, press the switch in the room
Exit through the side tunnel
Outside, search the area — you’ll usually find 3–4 Wormstones
Alternative: If you have vertical movement jutsu, you can cheese this process and skip the pits entirely.
Step 2: Enter the Switch Powder Gate
Go to Danan Town
Follow the path to the Switch Powder Gate
Use a Wormstone to open it
(Sometimes you can dash through without one — may be patched)
Drop into the pit to begin a fight:
4 Taijutsu NPCs spawn
They’re dangerous due to high M1 damage and stuns
Defeat them for a chance to get 0–4 Switch Powder
