Welcome to the chaotic soul-grinder that is Black Beacon. Whether you’re brand new or just confused by all the banners, pulls, events, and terms flying around, this Black Beacon Beginners Guide has your back.
Let’s get into it—no fluff, just the facts and advice that’ll keep your account alive and thriving.
Black Beacon Beginners Guide – Codes, Pity System
When you start playing, focus on leveling your Seer level through the main story. As you hit milestones (like level 5, 15, 25, etc.), you’ll earn up to 50 free pulls, plus another 10 from rune shards and stamina refills. That’s 60 free chances at top-tier characters, just from leveling up.
Gacha
Don’t waste your pulls randomly. The Vision Expansion and standard banners give you guaranteed 5-star units, and the game even lets you pick one after 30 or 300 pulls—no rerolling madness required. There’s also a discount banner with a 100% rate-up for specific characters and a 70-pull cap, which is much more forgiving than other gacha games.
Now, don’t fall into the trap of building every cool-looking character. Stamina is limited, so only upgrade units that work well together or fill a needed role. Right now, the best beginner-friendly characters include Arishan (burst DPS), Nana (AoE breaker), Viola (AoE thunder breaker), and Zero (a free support who boosts your team’s attack). Building two or three of these will carry you through the game.
Events
Events are your best friend. The Vulcan’s Grace event gives you a free 5-star weapon by completing easy tasks. The Wall Shadow Sightings event rewards you with tons of XP and pulls, plus a costume. And yes, there are fun side events like Anki’s Escape and Monkey Typewriter that shower you with upgrade materials and rune shards.
Don’t skip character trials, since they let you test units and earn rewards without using stamina. As you progress, you’ll even get a free 5-star weapon for Zero after Chapter 3, and duplicates of her through story clears—she’s a great support to invest in early.
Lastly, there’s a special shop where you can trade points earned from pulling to get guaranteed dupes of characters you already own, no extra luck required. This makes long-term progression much smoother than in other gacha games.
In short: level up fast, don’t pull randomly, build smart, and do the events. Black Beacon is surprisingly fair—if you play it right, you’ll be stacked with powerful characters in no time.

Black Beacon Pity System Tips
How the Pity System Works
Step 1: First Pity (70 Pulls)
- You need to do 70 pulls to hit your first pity.
- At this stage, you have a 70% chance to get the featured 5★ limited character.
- If you’re lucky, you’ll get them here and save yourself another round.
Step 2: Second Pity (Another 70 Pulls)
- If you don’t get the limited unit on your first 70 pulls, you enter hard pity.
- The second 70 pulls (making it 140 pulls total) guarantees the limited 5★ character.
This system is not forgiving compared to other gacha games. Missing the first 70% chance means you’re in for the long haul—and yes, that’s 140 total pulls for one character.
How Many Pulls Do You Get at Launch?
Based on the official livestream, the launch will provide around 20,000 crystals through events and login rewards.
That should be enough for a full 140-pull cycle, letting you secure at least one limited 5★ if you manage your pulls right.
Weapon Banner Pity
Weapon banners are completely separate from character banners. The pity here kicks in at 50 pulls.
And unlike some other games (like Eter Gazer), you can’t select the weapon you want. There’s a 3.18% chance of pulling a 5★ weapon, with a 100% guarantee on the 50th pull.
Don’t pick your 5★ character or weapon right away. Pull on banners first—if you get lucky, you might save your selector for someone else.
Watch for the selectable 5★ weapon event and character selection event (unlocked after 30 pulls).
Events will also reward you with Florence’s exclusive skin, so don’t miss that window—it might not come back.
