So the hype was real. Before Bizarre Lineage even fully dropped, trailers were pulling massive views and the Discord was stacked with players waiting to jump in. Now that it’s live, the big question is simple:
What should you actually focus on as a beginner?
This isn’t theory. This is practical progression — what works in the first few hours without overcomplicating things.
Movement & Combat
Right after the tutorial, you’re dropped into Morioh. And honestly? The map design stands out immediately. Clean environment, detailed outfits, fluid animations.
Movement feels modern:
- You can slide
- You can dodge
- Combat flows quickly
- NPCs are smarter than expected
It’s not just “bandit beating.” Even early enemies require positioning and awareness.
Stand
Your entire progression begins with Stand Arrows.
You can obtain arrows through:
- Random encounters
- Quest rewards
- Arrows found on the ground
Use the arrow and you’ll roll a random Stand. Early luck can completely change your experience.
If you pull something strong like Killer Queen early on, that’s a massive advantage. High-damage Stands with range make leveling significantly smoother because you can kite enemies safely.
The key is understanding your Stand’s abilities before spamming buttons. Some skills are:
- Barrage (basic pressure)
- Bomb-type abilities (delayed damage)
- Counter skills
- Ranged utilities
Take a few minutes to test how your moves function. Some abilities lock onto targets. Others require timing.
Learning this early saves you from unnecessary deaths.
Early Leveling
Progression is surprisingly smooth.
You’ll level quickly just by:
- Completing early story quests
- Defeating nearby NPC enemies
- Turning in objectives
If you don’t care about dialogue, you can speed through certain quest interactions — starting the conversation often triggers completion. That alone accelerates early levels.
Bus stops are also important.
If a quest marker is far away (and some are), use bus stop teleportation instead of walking. It saves time and keeps your grind efficient.
Stat Points
At low levels, don’t overthink your build.
A simple approach works:
- Invest into damage-related stats
- Add some survivability if you’re struggling
Early game enemies aren’t complicated, but some bosses can punish greedy builds.
If you’re unsure, slightly balanced allocation is safer than going full glass cannon.
The reason Stands feel strong early is range control.
You can:
- Attack safely
- Apply damage over time
- Trigger explosive effects
- Use counters against aggressive NPCs
For example, bomb-based abilities can chunk enemy HP before they even reach you.
Some bosses block, dodge, or counter — so don’t mindlessly spam. Watch their patterns.
The combat system rewards awareness more than raw clicking speed.
Accessories & Skins
As you progress, you’ll unlock chests and accessories like capes.
Accessories provide boosts, not just visuals. Equip them.
There’s also a skin system tied to Worthiness.
Worthiness increases:
- Your chance of better Stand pulls
- Your chance of obtaining skins
You can buy skins via game passes, but increasing Worthiness naturally improves your odds too.
If you’re planning long-term progression, Worthiness matters.
Boss Fights & Raids
Eventually, you’ll encounter your first raid boss.
Raids are where the difficulty spikes.
Bosses:
- Have higher HP pools
- Use powerful abilities
- May reset phases
- Can punish mistakes
If you lose, don’t panic. You can often re-engage after respawning.
The key to raid fights:
- Don’t panic spam
- Use guaranteed-damage abilities wisely
- Save high-impact skills for windows
- Be patient
Clearing raids gives better ranks (D to S). Higher rank = better rewards.
Teleporting & Quest
One underrated beginner tip: use bus stops constantly.
If a quest says it’s 2km away, don’t walk.
Teleport → Complete → Return → Repeat.
Efficient pathing reduces burnout and keeps leveling smooth.
Progression
Once you start unlocking higher-level enemies (Level 12+ areas, Yakuza fights, etc.), combat requires better skill timing.
NPCs:
- Block more often
- Counter more frequently
- Have stronger abilities
This is where knowing your Stand deeply matters.
Damage-over-time builds shine here.
Counter-based builds require timing.
Burst builds dominate short engagements.
