The latest Beaks Update 2 in Roblox dropped without much warning, but it packs a solid punch with new features, items, and systems. Whether you’re hunting mythical birds or testing new weapons, here’s a full Beaks Update 2 Guide breakdown of everything you need to know about this new update.
Beaks Update 2 Guide – Gift Birds, New Codes & Guns
1. You Can Now Give Birds to Others
One of the most community-requested features is finally here — you can trade birds! While the video assumes this means “giving” birds, it’s highly likely this is a step toward a full-on trading system. This opens the door for collectors and casual players to exchange birds they don’t need or share rare finds with friends.
2. Hot Air Balloons
New hot air balloons have been added to the map — specifically near Quill Lake by Silverstone Camp. They cost $15,000 (in-game cash) and give you 15 minutes of air time. You can also add fuel (+5 mins) for $20 Robux.
However, they don’t provide any combat or collection buffs — no XP boosts, no dart speed increases, nothing. It’s purely for vertical advantage. Many players feel this is a missed opportunity, as it offers no real incentive over traditional watchtowers.
Three New Guns (And Unique Mutations!)
Three new rifles have been added across different regions — each comes with a unique mutation chance, only available via that weapon. Here’s a breakdown:
1. Gold Wing Rifle – Mount Beaks
- Cost: $30,000
- Stats: 35 Strength, 400 Speed, 4.5 Fire Rate
- Rarity: Rare
No unique buff, just decent all-around stats for the price.
2. Liquify Rifle – Cool Lake
- Effect: 5% chance to apply Liquid Mutation to birds per shot.
- Role: Short-range, high-damage rifle.
- Only way to get Liquid Mutation is through this gun.
3. Radioactive Rifle – Deadlands (Level 75+)
- Stats: 60 Strength, 500 Speed, .5 Fire Rate, 900 Distance, 88% Handling
- Effect: 1% chance per shot to mutate bird into Radioactive Mutation
- Note: It’s unclear if this chance stacks with repeated shots.
10 New Mutations + 3 Exclusive Mutation Guns
A total of 10 brand-new mutations were added. 3 of them are exclusive to the new guns mentioned above. This creates a bit of a grind wall if you’re looking to collect every mutation, as you’ll now need specific weapons just to unlock certain mutations.
15+ New Birds – Including 4 Mythicals!
The update drops over 15 new birds, including:
- 4 Mythical/Legendary birds spotted specifically in the Deadlands.
- Cool Lake gets the most love, with 12+ new birds added there.
- Mount Beaks only receives 2 new birds.
- Beakwoods and Quill Lake didn’t get any new additions this time.
- To view them, head over to the Beak Book and check the updated entries.
Weight Scaling is Finally Visual!
Previously, birds weighing over 100kg still looked like feather-light fluffballs. Now, the bigger the bird, the bigger its actual in-game size.
Example:
- 9.5kg → small size
- 14kg+ → visibly massive bird
- It’s a small detail, but adds immersion and clarity, especially when sorting your best birds.
Codes
- balloons – A new promo code has dropped
Wishing Well Relocated
The Wishing Well has been moved back to the original spawn location. While it’s easier to access, some players find the new placement awkward and less thematic compared to its previous hidden, mystical spot.
Patches
- All bugs with Gamepasses & Gifting are fixed
- Wishing Well has been fixed, you won’t lose your birds anymore
- Rarity Tag is back!
- Inventory issues have been fixed
- Event Chances have been buffed
- Firefly & Cherry Blossom cover the whole region now
- Multiple Major/Minor Bug Fixes
This update is perfect for collectors and mutation hunters — but casual players may find the hot air balloons and relocation changes a bit underwhelming.
