Azure Latch Rin Itoshi Guide – How to Unlock and Use, Moves

Rin’s Abilities

Rin comes with 5 total abilities – 3 base moves and 2 powerful ultimates (yes, 2 variations of one move depending on distance). Let’s break down each one.

Occlusion Break

Type: Movement | Cooldown: Short

Rin dashes forward in four smooth, clean steps — all with i-frames (invincibility frames). It’s a movement-based ability that doubles as a dodge or aggressive reposition.

Fake Shot

Type: Movement/Bait
This mimics a shot animation but then swerves Rin to the side. It’s like Sai’s double-tap fake, but you only need one button press here.

Curve Shot

Type: Special Shot
A powerful curving shot that bends to the right, unlike Magnus’s curve that goes left. It’s got great visuals and insane top-corner potential.

Rin’s Ultimate (Awakening Form)

Rin’s ult is wild — it not only changes his aura and movement style, but also unlocks two new moves. The activation animation is cinematic, and you stay in this mode for a while.

Kill

Type: Special Shot | Curve to the right
It’s basically a more powerful version of Curve Shot. If you’re far from enemies, this is what you’ll trigger.

Center of Gravity

Type: Buff/Counter
When activated, if someone tackles you, their legs literally shatter (anime-style). Rin keeps his aura for several seconds.

Rin Tech & Combos

Here’s the stuff other guides might miss — the high-skill tech and combos that make Rin a monster in capable hands:

Curve Shot Trick

  • Stand near the right edge of the box.
  • Aim up and left with curve control on.
  • The ball will curl hard into the top right corner.
  • Easy goals once you get the feel.

Dash Header Combo

  • Since sprinting got nerfed, dashing can now chain into headers:
  • Dribble > Dash > Jump > Header = Powerful pop-up plays.
  • Works beautifully with Rin’s quick repositioning moves.

Ult Combo Suggestion

  • Fake Shot → Occlusion Break → Kill
  • You dodge and reposition with the first two.
  • Then fire off a deadly curve or straight shot depending on range.

Rin x Sai Interaction

If Sai is holding the ball and Rin uses his fifth move (Center of Gravity), there’s a special interaction animation! Just a fun easter egg — doesn’t impact gameplay, but cool to see.
