Update 5.5 has just dropped in Anime Vanguards, bringing new characters, balance changes, and shifting the power scale significantly. If you’re grinding Infinite Mode, clearing raids, or climbing leaderboards, this Anime Vanguard Tier List Update 5.5 will help you build the strongest team possible.
We’ve categorized all the units from Support Tier to the Godly Tier, so you’ll know exactly who’s worth leveling and who you can skip.
Anime Vanguard Tier List Update 5.5 – Best Units Ranking (Bleach Update)
Godly Tier (Top 1%)
Only the most broken, game-defining units make it here. If you own any of them, you’re basically untouchable.
- Akuma
- CZG4
- Jeta
- Jiren
- Madara (Six Paths)
- Sid Katakuri (Sid Kuri) – New addition, confirmed godly
Meta Tier
- Zoro Wano
- Killua Godspeed
- Majin Buu
- Whitebeard
- Artoria (Saber)
- Alucard
- Itachi
- Garou Awakened
Zoro (Wano)
Zoro is incredibly reliable across Infinite, Raids, and even PvP. His range and damage scaling make him an auto-pick, especially if you don’t own godly-tier units.
Killua (Godspeed)
Killua shreds early waves with fast burst damage, ideal for keeping enemies under control while you build cash and deploy heavier hitters. His cost-efficiency also makes him a go-to for fast-paced raid maps.
Majin Buu
One of the best wave-clear units. Majin Buu can clear large packs with ease, and his AoE range covers awkward paths that most cone units can’t reach.
Whitebeard
Unique for summoning tsunami waves that deal global damage. Acts as a map-wide clear in clutch moments. Very few units offer this kind of wave-reset mechanic.
Z+ Tier (Elite Club)
Not quite meta, but incredibly powerful when paired right. Just one step away from godhood.
- Yamamoto (Burn & AoE)
- Gojo (for his iconic domain stun)
- Gohan
- Ichigo
- Goku (featured in the creator’s flex moment – likely UI or another form)
S Tier (Heavy Hitters)
Can carry hard with the right setup. Solid picks if you’re missing the absolute top units.
- Roy Mustang
- Shuzu
- Kizaru
- Yuno
- Shindra
- Diavolo
A Tier (Reliable Mid Game)
Great for story mode or mid-tier infinite. Good backups if you don’t have S tier or higher.
- Vegeta
- Mikazuki
- “Man” (likely a nickname; context unclear)
- Zenitsu
- Shigari
- Inosuke
Mid Tier
These units have fallen off due to power creep. Fine early game, but struggle to stay relevant.
- Zabuza
- Kit
- Tenjon
- Carnage
- Clown
Support Tier (Non-Damage Core Units)
They don’t deal damage, but they’re the backbone of every strong team.
- Brook – Money farm unit
- Whis – Late-game healer for infinite
- Haku – Applies slow, great for boss control
- Iris – Likely utility/healing support
Anime Vanguard Meta Units Update 5.5
Alocard (Vampire King) is considered the best unit in Anime Vanguards due to his exceptional versatility and high DPS. He is a meta-defining unit in all major game modes, excelling as both a support and damage dealer. His wound passive increases all unit damage by 20%, and his DPS surpasses most full AoE units.
His only competition in DPS comes from Gujo (Infinity) in a single hit due to a +50% damage boost and Igros (Elite Knight) + Song Jinwu (Monarch) against bosses. He also outperforms Haruka Rin (Dancer), who provides a team-wide buff, by applying bleed and making bleeding units take 20% extra damage.
Unless a stronger wound unit is introduced, Alocard (Vampire King) will remain the top unit in the game with his full AoE, multi-hit potential, and unmatched utility.
Saber (King of Knights) is ranked as the second-best unit thanks to her incredible versatility and effectiveness in all game modes. She stands out as the best early wave defender, outclassing Vogita Super (Awakened) and Cu Chulainn (Child of Light). Her double damage on-hit passive and repulse effect make her extremely strong against waves of enemies.
Unlike Vogita, whose passive only works on single targets, Saber can consistently apply her effect to multiple enemies. Cu Chulainn is cheaper but requires Upgrade 7 to be fully useful, making Saber the better overall choice.
She’s also cost-efficient, as her Upgrade 0-5 provides double damage on new enemies, allowing her to stay effective without heavy investment. On top of that, her Excalibur attack deals 900% total damage, far surpassing Gilgamesh (King of Heroes), who only does 350%. This makes Saber an excellent boss killer and a top-tier unit in almost every game mode.
