Anime Saga Traits Guide – Best Traits & Buffs Tier List
Trait Tier List
S – Endurance, Warlord, Doombringer, Phantom
A – Abyssal, Draconic (for high DPS units), Overlord
B – Colossus
F – (Trash) Celestial, Bloodlord
Top Traits
Endurance (Top Pick)
- +12% HP
- +12% Attack Damage
This trait is straight-up solid. It gives you both survivability and a flat damage boost — and in Anime Saga, damage is everything. Every fight is a DPS race, so increasing your attack is the most reliable way to push through content. If you’re stuck deciding, pick Endurance first.
Phantom
- +12% Cooldown Reduction
- +10% Critical Hit Chance
- +10% Movement Speed
Phantom is a versatile trait. The crit chance alone makes it powerful, especially for burst damage characters. It’s not as tanky as some others, but if you want mobility + crits + faster ability spam, this trait hits the sweet spot.
Warlord (Top Tier)
- +20% Damage
- +25% HP
- -15% Damage Taken
- +10% Movement Speed
- Super Armor every 10 seconds
Warlord is stacked. It’s a straight upgrade in nearly every way — offense, defense, mobility, and even super armor for survivability. No matter the scenario, Warlord is a universal powerhouse.
Doombringer
- +20% Critical Chance
- 1.5x Critical Damage
- Activates “Destruction Mode” under low HP:
- +60% Damage
- +20% Cooldown Reduction
- -40% Damage Taken
This is the glass cannon trait. If you’re confident in dodging and managing health, Doombringer pumps your damage through the roof. Just be aware: Destruction Mode only triggers at low HP, so you’ll need precise timing and a fast character to fully benefit.
Abyssal
- +20% HP
- -15% Damage Taken
- +10% Crit Chance
- +40% HP on Kill (with Crit)
Abyssal combines damage and survivability with a strong crit mechanic. It’s especially useful in wave-based content where you’re constantly securing kills. You won’t feel invincible, but you’ll definitely feel durable and deadly.
Decent Traits
These traits aren’t bad, but they shine in specific use cases.
Draconic
- +25% Damage & +15% Movement Speed under 30% HP
It sounds great, but the trigger condition is risky. Staying under 30% HP is dangerous, especially if you’re mid-boss fight or grinding story missions. It’s usable if you’re okay gambling with survival for damage.
Overlord
- +1% Damage per enemy defeated
- +20% HP restore on kill
This trait is awesome in mob-heavy stages — not great for bosses. Without knowing the cap, it’s hard to recommend long-term, but early game? Solid choice.
Colossus
- +20% HP
- -15% Damage Taken
- Super Armor every 15 seconds (3s duration)
It’s purely defensive. Great if you just need to survive, but offers no offensive boosts. Fine for newer players or tanks, but not a top priority for damage-dealers.
Celestial
- Heals nearby allies
- 25% damage reduction under 30% HP
In a game where healing is rare, this sounds helpful, but it just doesn’t scale well. It’s too conditional and way less impactful than other traits like Endurance or Warlord. Avoid it — not even useful on support units.
Blood Lord
- 10% Lifesteal on Kill
Lifesteal sounds cool, but 10% is too little. You’re better off getting HP on kill or defense buffs. Trash tier — don’t use it, even on your backup characters.
