Anime Paradox’s meta isn’t just about raw rarity. Passives, placement cost, survivability, and how units scale in long modes like Legend, Siege, and Raid matter far more than early DPS screenshots. This guide breaks the roster down the practical way: who is worth chasing, who is safe to ignore, and how passives actually affect real gameplay instead of theory.
Anime Paradox Tier List & Passive Guide – META Units Rank
Bulma sits alone at the top. She defines the economy of the entire game. One Bulma is enough to fully upgrade most teams before mid-waves, which completely removes cost efficiency from the equation. Speed Cart technically works, but using him instead of Bulma is always a downgrade. Every meta team assumes Bulma exists.
Support Units
Orihime is currently the best support in the game. She does more than heal. Her kit constantly restores health, grants cooldown reduction, applies shields, and turns overhealing into a massive damage buff. In longer modes, this keeps teams alive that would otherwise collapse, especially when traits are not perfect.
Idol is the best pure buffer. Damage and cooldown buffs with duration extension let strong attackers snowball hard. She does not win fights alone, but she turns good DPS into absurd DPS.
Shadow Dio exists for time stop. His damage is irrelevant. Freezing the entire map is powerful enough to justify his slot, but at the current state of the game, raw damage matters more, which makes him optional rather than mandatory.
Steel is a situational lifesaver. Shields and emergency buffs can stabilize weak teams, but he is rarely optimal if you already own higher-tier supports.
Yukura is a strange case. Fear and slows look good on paper, but the healing return is weak and does not scale well. He is usable early because he requires no evolution, but he falls off quickly.
Asta used to matter more. After damage nerfs, his shield-breaking niche is rarely needed. He can function as utility, but most teams simply do not need him right now.
Units You Can Safely Ignore
Chah is currently one of the worst investments in the game. Poor damage, poor scaling, and no meaningful utility. Using her actively slows progression.
Yuru is another disappointing mythic. Low damage, weak impact, and no strong synergy. Pulling him feels bad, and building him feels worse.
A few late-listed DPS units technically work, but they are outperformed so hard by better options that spending resources on them makes no sense.
Starter Units
Megumin is a solid early unit. Her explosion nuke is strong enough to clear story content, and she is easy to obtain. She does not scale into endgame, but she is reliable early.
Killua is one of the best starter investments in the entire game. Extremely fast attacks, stuns, shock debuffs, and easy evolution through shop-bought materials make him both beginner-friendly and endgame viable. He clears Legend stages effortlessly and never truly falls off.
Core DPS Meta
Stark is the strongest unit in the game, full stop. His resource system, wolf summons, fear effects, cooldown boosts, and damage stacking make him a one-unit army. He controls space, blocks enemies, and deletes waves. His only downside is his absurd rarity.
Cid is the second most dominant unit. Full-map AoE damage breaks stage design entirely. He performs well in every mode without needing synergy or setup.
Sung Jin-Woo becomes broken when paired with Igris. His kill-based scaling, execution thresholds, lifesteal, and shadow buffs snowball out of control. Without Igris, he is still strong, but not complete.
Igris himself is the best defender in the game. Permanent damage scaling on kills and massive durability make him the backbone of both raid and siege teams. His synergy with Sung Jin-Woo pushes both into top-tier territory.
Broly is the best mythic and one of the most dangerous units in long modes. His damage stacks infinitely through kills, making him scale harder the longer a run lasts. In raids, infinite modes, and Legend stages, he can outperform even secrets when played correctly.
Ichigo is the most accessible secret and a major progression milestone. His self-healing, bleed, slows, and boss damage bursts make him mandatory for midgame and beyond. With Vampiric traits, he becomes extremely hard to kill.
Priority Order
Start with Bulma. No exceptions.
Then secure Orihime for survivability and Broly for scalable damage. After that, aim for Sung Jin-Woo, followed by Igris to unlock his full potential. Ichigo should come next as your reliable secret carry.
Stark and Cid are “try to get” units. They are incredible, but not required to clear all content. Chasing them too early can slow progression due to gem scarcity.
