ALLfiring’s launch roster is smaller than most modern gacha games, which makes the early meta surprisingly easy to understand. A few characters clearly stand above the rest because of how much value they provide with minimal investment, while others are more specialized picks for elemental teams.
This tier list is based on early global impressions alongside CN server testing.
S Tier Characters
Rozeul
Element: Thunder
Role: Main DPS
Rozeul is currently the strongest DPS in ALLfiring. He deals incredible damage in both AoE and boss fights while remaining extremely easy to build and use. Unlike many launch carries, he does not need heavy setup before feeling powerful, which makes him the safest reroll target for almost every account.
His biggest strength is consistency. Whether you are clearing story missions, farming materials, or fighting tougher bosses, Rozeul always performs at a high level.
If you want the strongest possible start, Rozeul should be your first priority.
Sion
Element: Wind
Role: Sub DPS / Support
Sion is the biggest surprise of the launch roster because she is completely free while still performing like a premium character. She provides reliable sub DPS damage, smooth team utility, and fits into almost every composition in the game.
She pairs especially well with Rozeul since she helps maintain pressure during longer fights without needing much field time herself.
Most importantly, Sion works extremely well even at low investment, which is why nearly every early team uses her.
A Tier Characters
Felgia
Element: Wind
Role: DPS
Felgia focuses on sustained damage rather than burst rotations, making her one of the smoothest DPS characters to play during progression. She works particularly well beside Sion in dual-Wind teams and remains effective even without expensive gear.
While her damage ceiling is lower than Rozeul’s, she is still one of the safest long-term DPS investments available at launch.
Ilscha
Element: Ice
Role: Burst DPS
Ilscha is the launch limited character and one of the highest-investment units currently available. With proper Ice support and her signature weapon, she can compete with the strongest DPS characters in the game.
The problem is that she requires far more setup than Rozeul or Felgia. Players willing to commit to Ice teams will get excellent results from her, but casual or F2P players may struggle to unlock her full potential early on.
Kirika
Element: Fire
Role: DPS
Kirika is currently the best Fire DPS in ALLfiring and provides strong elemental coverage against Ice enemies. She fits naturally into standard teams and performs consistently across most content.
She may not completely dominate the meta, but her flexibility makes her one of the more practical launch characters to build.
Tier B Characters
Nayeh
Element: Ice
Role: Support
Nayeh mainly exists as a budget support option for Ice-focused teams. She helps stabilize early-game Ice setups and works reasonably well alongside Ilscha, though most players will eventually replace her later.
She is still a decent temporary investment for players lacking premium supports.
Herfwin
Element: Dark
Role: Tank / Bruiser
Herfwin is a defensive-focused character designed for survivability rather than raw damage. He can help newer players survive difficult encounters early on, but the current launch meta strongly favors aggressive DPS teams instead.
Because of that, Herfwin feels more like a temporary progression unit than a long-term core character.
MC
Element: Adaptive
Role: Flexible Starter
The main character is usable throughout early story progression but quickly falls behind premium units once stronger characters enter your roster.
Their flexibility is useful at the start, though most players eventually stop investing resources into them.
Best Starter Team
