Grimguard Tactics Guide
Invest in a team with one or two green heroes if you don’t have a decent amount of blue and purple heroes (you can use scrubs like archers and healers and mix your blues).
Grind dungeons for gold and keys to get chest rewards, chests give you shards collect enough and you can pull blue and purple heroes guaranteed.
Side tip: you can stay in Act 1 in campaign for a few weeks to get your heroes on good levels, I leveled 8 heroes up to 20 and helped in campaigns/dungeons/arena. Update: Guild and Arena are unlocked during act 2.
You can redo missions on campaigns or do dungeons in completing quests, the weekly reward chests for completing quests give you contracts/rubies/shards if you finish all 5 tiers.
SAVE your rubies, you can finish Act 1 with 1k rubies and 10k gold.
It is best not to spend rubies on recruits, stamina/torches/arena tags, do quests since they give you back the value. Shops are the most viable but you will have to decide which items are good to purchase.
Its ok retiring/scrapping your heroes, unless you are investing some heroes and every time you retire they give you tomes for that specific character. Tomes are used to ascend heroes making them stronger and increasing their stats/rarity.
Prioritize upgrading your buildings in order:
- -1.) Forge is a top priority since it increases weapon/armor levels to increase your hero’s survivability
- -2.) Guild is a mid-game but it is good to upgrade early since they upgrade your hero perks/abilities
- -3.) Heroes are mid-around level 3 is fine for 24 hero roster capacity
- -4.) Hospital same as Heroes level 3 is fine
- -5.) Recruit is last since it barely affects pulls
Invest in your dawnseekers and heroes with bonus stats.
Most bundles are not worth the money, I am currently on Act 4 and never spent a single penny.
Use your shards/contracts early there’s no point in saving them but pull contracts in bulks ex. 5 contracts etc.
Notes I got in casual play:
Synergy can make a big difference but they are different for 3xteam and 5xteam, a good way to get overall good synergies is yo get 2-3 repeated heroes with mixed synergies
You can get up to 4 synergies, element, Main(3), sub(2), and class (for example, you can get 3blue+2green where 3 are holy and 2 are goblins/bandits while 5 of them are melee)
Support-type heroes are useless, while they have some cool skills overall, they have too much low HP and can be 1-hit if you don’t look for it, it’s better to get some tanks that support the team, even if the buff is a little weaker
Element advantage is HUGE in this game, because of dmg calculation, you can get from 2x to 1/2 final damage, so it is good to get at least 2 main teams (you can reuse 1 element and switch the sub)
You can infinite-stun if you look for it. Don’t worry about weaker heroes, try to invest in the higher tier, even if you do not like them a lot, the only exceptions are special heroes
