The Twisted Warrens is one of the two areas you need to complete to open the Closed Gate in Divinum. After reaching the Glyph near the gate, Fjor can explore two branching areas, each containing one of the required keys.
In this walkthrough, we’ll cover the entire Twisted Warrens route, including the hidden areas, Execution Rune, Manastone Shard, Flame Reave skill, Cursed Seal, Life Orb Shard, and finally the Chitin Key.
Divinum Twisted Warrens Walkthrough – Get the Chitin Key
Start at the Glyph near the Closed Gate.
From the Glyph, head down and to the left to enter the Twisted Warrens.
Your main objective is to explore the area and eventually obtain the Chitin Key, which is one of the two keys required to open the Closed Gate.
Unlock the Shortcut to the Dim Crossing
After entering the Twisted Warrens, drop down until you reach the crawler enemy.
Before continuing downward, look for a wall on the left.
Attack the wall to reveal a hidden passage.
Go through the passage and climb upward to find a chunk of Sanctite.
There’s another hidden passage nearby. Jump up and attack the wall on the left to break it open.
Inside, you’ll find a red egg sack on the ground.
These egg sacks act as jumping pads. You can jump on them to gain additional height, which will be important for reaching several areas throughout the Warrens.
Use the jumping pad and climb upward until you can reach the Dim Crossing again.
Once you’re back near the Dim Crossing, attack the breakable wall to create another passage.
You’ll find another jumping pad inside.
Get the Execution Rune
At the top of this area, you’ll notice another passage that’s too high to reach with a normal jump.
To get there, use the jumping pad and perform a Fallstrike attack while descending.
Fallstrike gives Fjor an additional boost during the downward attack, allowing her to reach the higher section.
Use the jumping pad, perform Fallstrike, and reach the wall above.
Climb upward and continue to the top.
Here you’ll find the Execution Rune.
Collect it before returning to the main route.
Find the Hidden Area
Return to the Twisted Warrens and continue making your way downward.
Keep following the path until you enter the next room, which leads toward the bottom portion of the Warrens.
Once you reach the bottom, drop down and head right.
This leads to another hidden area.
Continue through the passage to find a chunk of Sanctite.
Collect it, then return toward the main path.
Find the Manastone Shard
Backtrack upward and continue left until you reach a platform where you’ll see a small piece of Sanctite.
Jump across the gap.
Then jump upward and grab onto the wall so you can climb into another hidden section.
Continue climbing toward the top.
On the right side, you’ll notice a glowing object hidden behind one of the egg sacks.
Destroy the object to reveal the Manastone Shard.
Collect the shard and return to the main route.
Reach the Glyph
From the Manastone Shard area, go down and continue left.
Eventually, you’ll reach another Glyph.
Restore the Glyph before continuing.
This is a good opportunity to adjust your setup. You can check your available Mastery Skills, change your equipped Rune, or modify your skills before moving deeper into the Warrens.
When you’re ready, head left.
You’ll trigger a combat encounter.
Defeat all of the enemies that appear before continuing.
Once the encounter is complete, keep moving left until you reach a dead end.
At the dead end, climb upward and then go left to enter the next room.
Use the Jumping Pads to Reach the Upper Area
In the next room, your objective is to climb upward and then move left.
The jumping pads will make this section much easier.
Use the egg sacks to gain extra height, then continue climbing through the room.
Eventually, you’ll reach a platform containing a large green enemy.
Defeat the enemy before continuing.
After the enemy is defeated, you’ll reach another jumping pad.
Instead of continuing left immediately, use the jumping pad to reach the wall above and climb upward.
At the top, attack the breakable wall and follow the newly opened route.
Continue climbing and then move right.
Once you’ve reached the upper section, continue left.
You’ll eventually find another jumping pad in the middle of the route.
Remember this location because you’ll need to return here later.
Learn the Flame Reave Weapon Skill
Continue to the end of the left passage.
At the end, drop down.
While descending, look for a breakable wall on the left.
Attack the wall and enter the hidden passage.
Inside, you’ll find a Skill Rune.
However, you can’t simply collect it immediately.
You’ll need to complete the combat encounter in the area first.
Defeat all of the enemies and then claim the Rune.
This Rune teaches Fjor the Flame Reave weapon skill.
What Does Flame Reave Do?
Flame Reave is an offensive ability that combines damage with healing.
When you hit an enemy with the attack, it restores 2 HP.
Charging the ability increases its attack area and allows it to restore 3 HP, with an additional 1 HP for every extra enemy hit.
This makes Flame Reave particularly useful for an aggressive playstyle.
It can potentially take the place of a traditional healing ability, but there’s an important limitation: you need enemies nearby to recover health.
You’ll also need to manage your mana carefully when relying on it.
Locate the Cursed Seal
After obtaining Flame Reave, backtrack through the area.
You can continue downward if you want to uncover more of the map, but eventually you’ll need to return to the upper route.
Head back toward the jumping pad in the middle of the path.
If you’re unsure where it is, retrace the route you took before reaching the Flame Reave area.
Once you reach the jumping pad, use it to jump toward the left side.
This leads to another Cursed Seal.
You can interact with the seal and attempt its challenge.
Get the Life Orb Shard
After dealing with the Cursed Seal, continue left until you reach the end of the path.
At the end, you’ll find another Life Orb Shard.
Collect it before returning toward the right side of the area.
Get the Chitin Key
Now it’s time to reach the main objective of the Twisted Warrens.
From the Life Orb Shard area, head all the way to the right.
You’ll find another Glyph.
Restore the Glyph and continue through the newly accessible passage.
You’ll soon encounter another combat challenge.
This time, you’ll need to fight several green bug enemies.
Defeat every enemy in the area.
Once the encounter is cleared, continue toward the far right side of the room.
At the end of the path, you’ll finally obtain the Chitin Key.
This is one of the two keys required to open the Closed Gate near the central Glyph.
The Twisted Warrens is a mix of exploration, hidden passages, platforming, and combat. The red egg sacks are particularly important because their jumping ability lets Fjor reach several otherwise inaccessible areas.
The key progression is to explore the hidden passages, collect the useful upgrades along the way, return to the central routes when necessary, and eventually reach the final combat encounter on the right side.
After defeating the green bug enemies and reaching the end of the passage, you’ll obtain the Chitin Key.
With one key secured, the next objective is to explore the other branch near the Closed Gate and find the second key needed to progress.
