Duck Survival Buildings Guide – Best Buildings for PvE, PvP

One of the biggest progression spikes in Duck Survival doesn’t come from unlocking a new weapon or hero—it comes from upgrading the right buildings. A strong building setup can make campaign stages much easier, improve your Arena performance, and even save your base during difficult PvE content.

The problem is that not every Legendary building is actually worth chasing. Some are incredible in almost every mode, while others sound good on paper but don’t perform nearly as well in real battles.

If you’re wondering which buildings deserve your resources, here’s a complete ranking based on overall usefulness in Campaign, PvE, PvP, and Arena.

Duck Survival Buildings Guide – Best Buildings for PvE, PvP

Tier Building Best For
S Nuclear Camp PvE, PvP, Arena
S Legendary Workshop Manual Play, PvE, Bosses
S Golem Barracks PvE & PvP
A Orc Camp Good Alternative
A Repeater Tower Single Target Damage
B Bomb Barracks Situational Burst Damage
C Energy Focus Tower Niche Use
C Damage Wall Small Upgrade Only
D Other Towers & Barracks Skip if possible

S Tier – Nuclear Camp

If I had to recommend only one building to unlock, this would probably be it.

The Nuclear Camp doesn’t just generate resources—it periodically launches a powerful nuclear strike that deals massive damage to enemy waves.

During longer battles, this damage really adds up, and it’s often one of the highest-damaging buildings on your entire base.

Why It’s So Good

  • Massive burst damage
  • Great against large enemy waves
  • Excellent in Campaign
  • Strong in Arena
  • Remains useful into late-game

If you own this building, it deserves a permanent place in your lineup.

S Tier – Legendary Workshop

The Legendary Workshop is a little different from other buildings.

Instead of attacking enemies directly, it drops powerful buffs every few seconds.

Possible buffs include:

  • Shield
  • Attack Boost (Inspire)
  • Cooldown Refresh

The cooldown reduction alone can dramatically increase your overall damage because both your character skills and hero abilities become available more often.

If you play manually instead of relying on Auto mode, this building becomes even stronger since you can actively collect every buff it drops.

Best For

  • Manual gameplay
  • Boss fights
  • Difficult PvE content
  • Arena battles

S Tier – Golem Barracks

Among every Barracks option currently available, the Golem Barracks easily stands out.

Instead of spawning fragile units, it summons giant Golems that soak up huge amounts of damage.

Even after dying, they split into smaller Golems that continue distracting enemies.

That means:

  • Enemies spend more time attacking Golems.
  • Your towers survive longer.
  • Your heroes deal damage safely.
  • Your base takes much less pressure.

For both PvE and PvP, this is currently the strongest Barracks choice.

A Tier – Orc Camp

The Orc Camp isn’t as explosive as the Nuclear Camp, but it’s still a very solid building.

Every few seconds it summons two large Orc units.

These Orcs:

  • Deal respectable damage.
  • Absorb plenty of hits.
  • Help control enemy waves.

If you don’t own the Nuclear Camp yet, the Orc Camp is an excellent replacement.

A Tier – Repeater Tower

Not every Legendary tower outperforms the Epic options.

In fact, the Repeater Tower consistently punches above its rarity thanks to its extremely fast attack speed.

Instead of relying on huge individual hits, it overwhelms enemies through constant damage.

Strengths

  • Excellent sustained DPS
  • Fast firing speed
  • Strong against bosses
  • Reliable throughout most game modes

Many players underestimate it simply because it isn’t Legendary.

B Tier – Bomb Barracks

The Bomb Barracks creates explosive units that jump into enemy groups before detonating.

The explosions can clear clustered enemies very quickly.

Unfortunately, once enemies become stronger, survivability becomes more valuable than burst damage.

That’s why most experienced players eventually switch to Golem Barracks.

C Tier – Energy Focus Tower

On paper this tower sounds impressive.

It gains bonus damage based on how many similar towers you have on the battlefield.

In practice, though, it rarely lives up to expectations.

Its slow firing speed limits its overall damage output, especially compared to the Repeater Tower.

Unless you’re specifically building around Energy damage, there are simply better options available.

C Tier – Damage Wall

The Legendary Wall adds a small area attack in front of itself.

Unfortunately, that’s about all it offers.

The damage isn’t particularly high, and it isn’t noticeably tankier than the standard walls.

It’s usable, but definitely not something I’d prioritize unlocking.

Buildings to Skip

Several buildings simply don’t provide enough value compared to the alternatives.

If resources are limited, I’d avoid spending heavily on:

  • Most standard Legendary Towers
  • Weak Barracks variants
  • Low-damage Walls

They aren’t completely unusable, but they usually get outperformed by the higher-ranked options.

Best Building Setup for Campaign

For general PvE progression, I’d recommend:

  • Camp: Nuclear Camp
  • Barracks: Golem Barracks
  • Tower: Repeater Tower
  • Workshop: Legendary Workshop
  • Wall: Standard Wall or Legendary Wall if already unlocked

This setup provides a great balance of damage, crowd control, survivability, and support.

Best Building Setup for Arena

Arena rewards consistency more than flashy damage.

A reliable setup would be:

  • Nuclear Camp
  • Golem Barracks
  • Repeater Tower
  • Legendary Workshop

This combination gives you:

  • Continuous damage
  • Strong frontline units
  • Frequent combat buffs
  • Excellent survivability

Building upgrades can completely change how your base performs, especially once enemy waves start getting tougher. While there are plenty of Legendary options to choose from, a few stand out far above the rest. The Nuclear Camp, Legendary Workshop, and Golem Barracks consistently provide the biggest impact across Campaign, Arena, and PvP, making them the safest long-term investments.

If you’re limited on resources, focus on unlocking a handful of powerful buildings instead of trying to collect everything. A well-chosen setup will carry you much farther than a base filled with flashy but underperforming structures.
