VV Ultimatum Update 0.5 – New Clans, Ascension, Codes

When the developers announced a “mini update” for VV: Ultimatum, I don’t think many players expected much beyond a few balance tweaks and quality-of-life improvements. That’s usually what mini updates mean in most Roblox RPGs.

Instead, we ended up getting new clans, a completely new Ascension progression system, fresh accessories, invasion changes, gauntlet improvements, and what might be the strongest clan passive currently available in the entire game.

If you’ve been away from VV: Ultimatum for a few days or you’re trying to figure out whether this update is worth jumping back into, here’s everything you need to know.

Ascension Is Basically Free Power for Level 100 Players

The biggest surprise from the update is Ascension.

At first glance, many players assumed it would function like a traditional prestige system where you sacrifice your progress and restart from scratch for small bonuses. Thankfully, VV: Ultimatum takes a much better approach.

Once you reach Level 100, you can travel to the Golem Statue and unlock your first Ascension level.

The best part?

You don’t lose anything.

No stat reset.

No level reset.

No starting over.

You simply gain permanent bonuses and valuable rewards.

For a game with multiple character slots and long-term progression, that’s a huge win.

How to Unlock Ascension

Unlocking Ascension is simple:

  1. Reach Level 100.
  2. Wait for your Spirit Navi to notify you.
  3. Travel to Fort Adams.
  4. Interact with the Golem Statue.
  5. Ascend from Ascension 0 to Ascension 1.

Currently, Ascension 1 is the maximum level available, though additional tiers will likely arrive in future updates.

Ascension Rewards Explained

The rewards are surprisingly generous for a first-tier Ascension.

Players receive:

  • Increased Monster Damage
  • +12.5% XP Gain
  • Clan Rerolls
  • Weapon Rerolls
  • Ability Rerolls
  • Hogyoku Shards
  • Build Reset Rewards
  • Additional Character Slot
  • Invader’s Charm with Infinite Usage

The Invader’s Charm is especially interesting because it acts as an upgraded version of the invasion bell without usage restrictions.

For players who regularly farm invasions, this reward alone makes Ascension worth pursuing.

Ascension Buffs Apply to Every Character Slot

This is arguably the most important detail.

The bonuses gained from Ascension are account-wide.

That means once you unlock Ascension on a Level 100 character, your lower-level slots also benefit from the passive bonuses.

For example, a newly created character can immediately enjoy those Ascension benefits without having to reach Level 100 first.

That’s massive for players who enjoy experimenting with different races and builds.

Every New Clan Added in the Update

The clan additions are easily the highlight of the patch.

Three new clans were introduced, and two of them immediately jumped into conversations about the strongest clans in the game.

Let’s break them down individually.

Krouchi Clan (Soul Reaper)

If there is one clan dominating discussions right now, it’s Krouchi.

Many players are already calling it the strongest clan in VV: Ultimatum, and honestly, it’s hard to argue against that claim.

Krouchi Clan Stats

The clan provides:

  • Increased Reiatsu
  • Increased Kido Defense
  • Unique Spirit Charm passive

The stats themselves are solid, but they’re not the reason everyone is chasing this clan.

The passive is.

Why Krouchi Is So Strong

Normally, Spirit Charm Overflow removes a significant amount of health whenever additional charms are equipped.

Krouchi dramatically reduces that drawback.

Instead of losing around 4% health per Spirit Charm, the passive lowers the penalty to approximately 2%.

That may sound small on paper, but it’s game-changing in practice.

With multiple high-tier Spirit Charms equipped, players can gain enormous bonuses while sacrificing far less HP than usual.

The result is a build that becomes significantly stronger without suffering the normal drawbacks.

For endgame players running optimized charm setups, Krouchi is arguably the best clan currently available.

Best Builds for Krouchi

Krouchi works particularly well with:

  • High-tier Spirit Charm builds
  • Endgame PvP setups
  • Hybrid combat builds
  • Max-level optimization builds

The more Spirit Charms you use, the more value you gain from the passive.

Shalute Clan (Arrancar)

Arrancar players also received a powerful new option.

Unlike Krouchi, which focuses on a unique mechanic, Shalute is pure raw stats.

Shalute Clan Stats

The clan provides:

  • +5 HP
  • +2.5 Weapon Damage
  • +1 Melee Defense

Simple.

Effective.

Extremely powerful.

Why Shalute Is the Best Weapon Clan

There are no complicated mechanics here.

No special conditions.

No setup requirements.

You simply gain some of the strongest offensive and defensive stat boosts available to weapon-focused Arrancar builds.

If your build revolves around weapon damage, Shalute is currently one of the easiest clan recommendations in the game.

Everything it offers directly contributes to combat effectiveness.

Lloyd Clan (Quincy)

The final addition is Lloyd, a new Quincy clan.

Compared to Krouchi and Shalute, Lloyd is a bit more utility-focused.

Lloyd Clan Stats

The clan provides:

  • Access to all sensory passives for free
  • +0.1 Maximum AP
  • +5 Posture

Lloyd

Lloyd isn’t bad.

In fact, it’s actually quite useful.

The issue is that it’s competing against two absolutely ridiculous clans.

Free access to all sensory passives can be convenient, especially for exploration and information gathering. The extra posture and AP are also nice bonuses.

However, Lloyd doesn’t fundamentally change combat the way Krouchi does, nor does it provide the raw stat efficiency of Shalute.

It’s a solid clan.

Just not the update’s biggest winner.

New Gauntlet Changes and Rewards

Outside of Ascension and clans, the update also included improvements to the gauntlet system.

Players can now earn additional rewards, interact with updated interfaces, and experience some overall quality-of-life improvements.

While these changes aren’t as flashy as the new clans, they’re still valuable for players who regularly farm gauntlet content.

Invasion Belt Currently Feels Underwhelming

The update also introduced the Invasion Belt.

At the moment, many players believe the item is either unfinished or not functioning correctly.

As things currently stand, it doesn’t seem particularly useful compared to the other additions included in the patch.

This will likely be addressed in a future update.

For a so-called mini update, VV: Ultimatum delivered far more content than most players expected.

The Ascension system gives Level 100 players meaningful progression without forcing a reset. The account-wide bonuses make leveling alternate characters easier, while the rewards are generous enough to feel genuinely exciting.

Then there are the clans.

Krouchi has immediately entered the conversation for best clan in the game, Shalute has become a top-tier option for weapon users, and Lloyd provides solid utility for Quincy players.

If you’ve already got a Level 100 character sitting around, there’s really no reason not to unlock Ascension immediately. And if you’ve got clan rerolls saved up, this might be the perfect time to start chasing one of the new additions.
