How to Trade TBH Task Bar Hero Items on Steam

One of the most unique features in TBH: Task Bar Hero is its integration with the Steam Community Market. Unlike most idle RPGs where rare drops only help your own progression, TBH allows players to sell valuable items to other players for Steam Wallet funds.

This means that a lucky drop isn’t just an upgrade for your character. In some cases, it can also become Steam credit that can be used to purchase games, DLCs, or other marketplace items.

However, many new players become confused because there isn’t a simple “Sell on Steam” button inside the inventory. Instead, TBH uses a special system called the Steam Trade Ship to transfer items between the game and your Steam Inventory.

Here’s everything you need to know.

Steam Trade Ship

The Steam Trade Ship acts as a bridge between your in-game inventory and the Steam Community Market.

Whenever you want to sell an item, it must first be transferred from the game into your Steam Inventory. Only after that can it be listed on the marketplace.

To access the Steam Trade Ship:

  1. Open the main menu.
  2. Click the ship icon near the top of the interface.
  3. Open the Steam Trade Ship window.

This is where all marketplace transfers begin.

Choosing Items to Sell

Technically, almost any tradeable item can be transferred to the marketplace.

However, not every item is worth selling.

In most cases, players should focus on:

  • Immortal Items
  • Arcana Items
  • Beyond Items
  • Celestial Items
  • Divine Items
  • Cosmic Items
  • Valuable Materials
  • Soulstones

Lower-rarity gear such as Common, Uncommon, Rare, and even many Legendary items often sell for very little and may not justify the effort.

There are exceptions, however. Certain Legendary items can sometimes be worth more than higher-rarity equipment due to market demand, so it’s always worth checking prices before destroying or selling them.

Loading Items onto the Trade Ship

Once you’ve selected an item to sell, transfer it to the ship.

You can do this by:

  • Dragging the item into the Trade Ship window
  • Right-clicking the item and selecting the transfer option

After doing this, the item will be removed from your active inventory.

Don’t panic if nothing appears to happen immediately.

The game must process and prepare the item for Steam Inventory transfer.

During this stage, you may see messages such as:

  • Processing Goods
  • Loading Inventory
  • Transfer Pending

This is normal.

Moving Items to Steam Inventory

After placing the item onto the ship, click the Inventory button inside the Trade Ship interface.

This forces the game to refresh and synchronize with Steam.

Once the process finishes, the item should appear inside your Steam Inventory under the TBH: Task Bar Hero section.

Depending on server load, this may take a few moments.

If the item doesn’t appear immediately, simply wait and refresh again.

Listing an Item on the Steam Market

After the item reaches your Steam Inventory, it can be listed on the marketplace.

To do this:

  1. Open Steam Inventory.
  2. Select the TBH: Task Bar Hero inventory tab.
  3. Click the item you wish to sell.
  4. Select Sell.
  5. Enter your desired price.
  6. Confirm the listing.

Steam may require confirmation through Steam Guard depending on your account settings.

After confirmation, the item becomes available for purchase by other players.

Checking Market Demand

Before listing anything, it’s worth checking the market information displayed by Steam.

This includes:

  • Current lowest price
  • Recent sales
  • Number of units sold
  • Price history

For example, if an item shows:

  • Starting Price: €0.03
  • 118 Units Sold in Last 24 Hours

you can immediately tell that the item has active demand and is moving regularly.

Items with strong sales volume generally sell faster than items with very few recent transactions.

Pricing Strategy

There are two common ways to price items.

Fast Sales

If you want an item to sell quickly, list it slightly below the lowest current listing.

For example:

Current Lowest Listing: €0.03

Your Listing: €0.02

This increases the chance that buyers choose your item first.

Maximum Profit

If you’re willing to wait longer, price your item near recent average sales rather than undercutting everyone.

This approach often produces better returns but requires patience.

Buying Items from the Market

The marketplace isn’t just for selling.

You can also purchase items from other players.

This is particularly useful when looking for:

  • Soulstones
  • Rare Equipment
  • Specific Weapons
  • Valuable Materials

Simply search for the item, review the listings, and purchase it using Steam Wallet funds.

Many players use profits earned from selling drops to buy items they need for progression.

Reclaiming Cancelled Listings

A common source of confusion involves cancelled listings.

If you remove an item from the marketplace, it does not instantly return to your character inventory.

Instead, the item is sent to your mailbox.

To retrieve it:

  1. Open the Mailbox.
  2. Wait for the server synchronization timer.
  3. Refresh the mailbox.
  4. Click Receive.

The item will then be returned to your account.

The same process applies to many purchased marketplace items.

Important Things to Remember

Before transferring items to the Steam Market, keep these points in mind:

  • Items are removed from your active inventory during the transfer process.
  • Processing can take a short amount of time.
  • Market prices constantly change based on supply and demand.
  • Some Legendary items may be worth more than expected.
  • High-rarity equipment generally attracts the most buyers.
  • Cancelled listings are reclaimed through the mailbox, not the Trade Ship.

The Steam Community Market is one of the defining features of TBH: Task Bar Hero. It allows players to turn rare drops into Steam Wallet funds while creating a player-driven economy around valuable equipment and materials.

Whether you’re selling an Immortal weapon, listing extra Soulstones, or hunting for a specific upgrade, learning how the Steam Trade Ship works is essential. Once you understand the process, buying and selling items becomes a natural part of progression and can even help fund future Steam purchases through the loot you earn in-game.
