Finding every chest in Moventure can honestly become harder than finishing some of the actual platforming sections. The game hides treasures behind fake walls, secret tunnels, breakable ceilings, and movement mechanics that most players probably do not even realize exist during their first playthrough.
A lot of these chests also expect you to fully understand mechanics like wall jumping, crawling, hat gliding, and even abusing things like coyote time. Some treasure paths are so hidden that you can walk past them multiple times without noticing anything unusual.
This guide goes through all currently known chest locations from the provided information in a much simpler and easier way so beginners can actually understand where to look and what mechanics are needed.
Area 1 Chest Locations
1-1
The first chest is hidden behind a fake wall on the left side of the level. If something looks suspicious or slightly off in Moventure, always try walking into it because the game loves secret walls.
1-2
There is a crawlspace on the left side containing a switch. Activating it lowers the acid and reveals another hidden switch. That second switch opens the path to the chest.
This is one of the first levels that teaches players to pay attention to environmental changes after pressing buttons.
1-3
In the top-left area, there is a hidden button that lowers the quicksand and reveals the chest.
If you are stuck here, explore higher parts of the room first before searching underground.
1-4
The normal chest is hidden underground. You need to pull a box to the right to access the hidden area.
There is also a super chest hidden behind another fake wall located to the left of the regular chest. This is one of the earlier examples of the game hiding secrets inside other secrets.
1-5
Pull down the chain to lower the elevator leading toward the chest area.
After that, you need to cross several swinging rope jumps. Timing your jumps carefully here makes things much easier.
1-6
This chest is hidden inside a secret passage that itself contains another secret passage. Very normal Moventure behavior honestly.
If you think you already found the hidden route, keep exploring because there is another layer to it.
1-7
The chest is hidden behind spikes.
Normally spikes look deadly, but in this case you can actually walk through them if you approach at the correct level. This is one of those moments where the game expects experimentation instead of logic.
1-8
This chest is hidden behind several breakable ceilings.
You will likely discover this more naturally while revisiting the level later because some paths are easier to access in reverse sections of the stage.
Area 2 Chest Locations
2-1
There is a secret tunnel in the roof that lets you climb on top of the hill. From there, you need to run up the wall to reach the hidden chest area.
The guide also mentions a useful trick here. You can float above campfires using the hat glide mechanic, which makes traversal much easier in certain areas.
2-2
You need to stand between regenerating glass panels while they reappear in order to climb upward toward the chest.
The hidden path near the chest area is mainly intended for the return trip and may not be reachable with Leo alone.
2-3
The chest is located to the left at the bottom of the large pit you normally jump over.
This is easy to miss because most players focus on crossing the gap instead of exploring below it.
2-4
There is a hidden area on the right side of the room.
You can reach it using coyote time, which basically means jumping slightly after leaving the edge of a platform. The timing is forgiving once you know the trick exists.
2-5
Push the nearby box onto the button located on the left side. This opens the chest area.
During the return trip with Nara, you can travel upward through the ceiling and head right past the credits house to reach the super chest for this area.
2-6
There are several places where you can jump through the ceiling to enter the chest room.
Inside the chest room itself, you can apparently jump through another ceiling using the hat for extra height and then move right toward the golden chest. The original guide was unsure whether Leo can collect this one alone.
2-7
This chest can be frustrating.
You either:
- Jump onto platforms above the tunnel while breaking them
- Return later with Nara
- Somehow access the tunnel early with Leo
The guide suggests the Leo method is probably impossible because the route was designed around Nara’s movement abilities.
2-8
There is a secret tunnel leading into the chest room.
Inside, you need to ride on top of moving boulders to safely reach the chest. There may also be an alternate early access method involving the roof tunnel in the previous room.
Area 3 Chest Locations
3-1
The chest is located inside the tower on the right side of the level.
Simple compared to many later treasure locations.
3-2
This chest is hidden inside a secret ceiling path.
Apparently one of the updates simplified this section, so older routes may look different now compared to previous versions of the game.
Area 4 Chest Locations
No chest information was provided yet for Area 4 in the original guide.
Area 5 Chest Locations
5-1
There is a button in the top-right corner that activates a trapdoor leading to the chest in the top-left section.
You need to move fairly quickly after activating it.
5-2
The chest is hidden behind a fake wall near the top-right side of the area.
By this point in the game, checking suspicious walls should basically become a habit.
5-3
The room contains multiple fake chests, but the real chest is the one located in the top-left corner.
There is also a super chest accessed by wall jumping through the center top section. This reward gives the sunflower item.
The wall jumping here is much harder than earlier levels, so expect several failed attempts before getting comfortable with the timing.
5-4
No additional information was included yet for this section.
Moventure hides secrets in incredibly mean ways sometimes, so the biggest advice I can give is to stop thinking normally. If something looks strange, there is probably a secret nearby.
Always test:
- Fake walls
- Ceilings
- Tiny gaps
- Suspicious ledges
- Empty corners
- Unusual objects
A huge number of chests also become easier once you unlock better movement options later in the game, especially hat gliding and advanced wall jumping. If something feels impossible early on, there is a good chance the game expects you to return later with more movement knowledge.
