Welcome to Mob Control Upgrading Guide. If you just want to have casual fun, pretty much all builds work The focus should be to get 1 card to 25 as fast as possible to unlock better card packs You get additional unlocks at levels 50 and 75, the cheapest to upgrade to 75 is single shot cannon or normie mob.
Single-shot cannons suck so I wouldn’t bother with it The game matches your card level up to 7 levels (+ or -), so upgrading them isn’t required to win maps I find maps easier to win if the mob is a lower level than champion/ultimate, but cannon level doesn’t seem to matter
below you find the Mob Control Upgrading Guide for Cannons, Mobs, Champions, and Ultimates.
Mob Control Upgrading Guide
Upgrading cannons:
- Always upgrade the fire rate of the cannon as this applies to EVERY cannon
- Save your coins don’t bother upgrading the cannon cards much and just play what is fun (flamethrower cannon is OP and I
- have upgraded this the most)
- Double shot or Shotgun are strong early games. Sniper cannon is fun to play with!
Upgrading mobs:
- Just focus on upgrading a couple and not wasting your hard-earned coin on all of them
- I suggest Normie (medium balance and cheap to get to 75), or Paper Bag (more expensive than Normie, but well rounded), or Knight (for a tanky high-strength mob)
Upgrading champions:
- Save your coin and skip great Normie, exploded, and Big Blob upgrades
- I find Sirion and Nexus both have their place until you get transformer champions
- Bumblebee is really fun if at a much higher level than your mob card (>10 levels ahead)
- Optimus Prime seems to be the “best” overall
- Big Blob is very strong without any upgrades for helping you win, but not for farming
Upgrading Ultimates:
- Rocket barrage is worth upgrading and I used it a lot for the first 50 levels
- Mass Abduction or mob copter isn’t good until the duration > 5s
- Rainbow Rage is not one I consider worth upgrading (but some people love it)
- Summon gate has very specific uses where it shines, but not “all-purpose”
How to get your cards to level 50 in Mob Control
Here is a straightforward process new players can follow to level up. Please note that there is no “best” setup and therefore you can ignore 100% of this if you want.
If you can afford to, buy the cheapest thing to remove excess ads right away (so worth it). Always upgrade your cannon fire rate. Max level is 51 (use ads when short on coins)
Your two initial goals will be to get a single card to level 25 and reach immortal rank (by collecting stars). Each time you get a card to “glow up” at level 25, 50, and 75 the game unlocks higher rewards
Each time you rank up in the world rankings, the game unlocks higher rewards/brick count. Starting out you will play with single shot cannon, great normie, normie, and rocket barrage
Don’t upgrade to a single-shot cannon or great normie above level 10. Once unlocked, use the shotgun cannon and Nexus champion
Upgrade shotgun cannon, nexus, normie, and rocket barrage to level 25, When you see the special events Piggy race or Space race, always join the hardest difficulty the game lets you
For special event world clash, you can check Discord for the winning team before you join (x2 rewards). Once at level 25, you want to swap to your best cannon once unlocked (flamethrower > triple), nexus or Sirion, normie, and mass abduct
Don’t change to mass abduct until you have at least 5s of looting time. You can upgrade about 6 cards to their max without running out of coins (if you want to try a different mob or champion)
Start upgrading your Normie, Mass Abduct, Champion, and Flamethrower to level 50 (Hint: if battles are hard to win, keep your mob 7 levels lower than your champion). Upgrading your cannon past 25 isn’t important until you switch to flamethrower
The main benefit of a flamethrower cannon is to buff the mobs you shoot, so don’t hold down the flame button continuously unless an emergency
That’s it for Mob Control Upgrading Guide.
