We rank the Best Weapons To Use in Monster Survivors, including every type such as Pistol, Uzi, Sword, Shotgun, and more. These rankings will be based on their most important stat, depending on the weapon type. I would have to make a kind of Monster Survivors Weapons Tier List, It’s hard because on different rarities these weapons can perform very poorly or incredibly well.
But let’s give it a try

Monster Survivors Weapons and Items Guide
Pistol:
- Moderate single target damage; rarity increases this damage and gives 1 pierce.
- Underwhelming. Practically worthless.
Uzi:
- Moderate DPS with a high rate of fire.
- Legendary variant has good crowd control, but that takes time to build up to.
Sword:
- High DPS and piercing, low range.
- Targeting can mean it doesn’t reach its full potential as it misses or hits irrelevant targets.
Shotgun:
- High DPS, but high spread, which makes it inappropriate for single target range DPS (such as with Longshot Critical).
- Great crowd control.
Blaster:
- I don’t use this very often, but my impression is that its good targeting is invalidated by its worthless DPS in my use so far, even with legendary.
Axe:
- High DPS at low range, with slow projectiles.
- It can be very underwhelming if you kill nearby enemies too quickly for the axes to work, or if you’re very mobile and the axes therefore don’t matter.
Shurikens:
- Seem to be like blasters but better.
- The legendary variant is actually good crowd control, and the overall DPS seems higher.
Guardians:
Hard to use, but can be incredibly low-range crowd control with their infinite piercing and high damage per hit.
Very small range and slow rotations make them inappropriate single-target damage dealers. I find these work best unmerged if possible, as higher rarities are far less than twice as potent.
Bouncing bomb:
- Worthless, truly.
Inferno cannon:
Very high DPS with decent piercing, if low projectile speed. Surprisingly not all that good in massed enemy situations as the piercing and low rate of fire mean it doesn’t kill many enemies per shot.
Foiled hard by height difference due to how the projectiles work.
Rocket launcher:
It Can be tricky to use, but high DPS, fast projectile speed, and decent AoE make it an incredible weapon. Rarity mergers make it shoot many projectiles like a shotgun, but explosive.
Crossbow:
- Best general weapon by far. High DPS, incredible pierce, fast projectiles.
Items
Damage% and Max Health: Drop off quickly in value as you start with more of both.
Lifesteal%: This means a chance to get +1 HP when you hit something. Very high value with a high rate of fire weaponry.
Summons (Drones, Dragon Eggs, Pandora’s Boxes, etc.): Pretty much worthless, or even negative value if given for free because they introduce a useless skill.
Speed and Pickup Range: Quite decent because they’re cheap and better than most skills you can purchase.
Crit: Very, very good since you can eventually expect to have a 100% crit rate, making it a simple damage modifier.
Luck and EXP%: Terrific and almost always worth buying. Free reroll is especially potent.
Armor: Not sure how it works.
Dodge%: Alright, but you can pretty much max it out with skills.
“Paired” Items: Pretty good stats on their own without the pair, and they drastically increase the likelihood you can buy the pair as a premium/gem item.
