If you’ve just walked into Glenbright Manor and thought, “this place definitely has secrets…” — you’re absolutely right. This puzzle isn’t mandatory for the quest, but skipping it is honestly a mistake. There’s some solid loot hidden here, and once you understand the steps, it’s actually pretty satisfying to solve.
Let me walk you through it the way I’d explain it to a friend sitting next to me — no confusion, no wasted time.
Crimson Desert Glenbright Manor Puzzle Guide – Grace Estate
You’ll come across this during the Grace Estate / Nonhuman questline when you reach Glenbright Manor.
At first glance, it just looks like a fancy house… but yeah, there’s a lot more going on behind those walls.
Step 1 – The Hidden Wall Behind the Painting
This is the part most people miss.
Go inside the manor and look for:
- A large painting on the wall
Now here’s the trick:
- Interact with the wall on either side of the painting
- This reveals a hidden passage
Inside this secret room:
- You’ll find a key for the basement
Don’t skip this — the key is required later.
Step 2 – Grab the First Dagger
Head back out and go upstairs.
Look for:
- A shield display on the wall
On it, you’ll find:
- A dagger you can take
Pick it up — this is one of two you’ll need.
Step 3 – The Wardrobe Mechanism (This One Feels Cool)
Now find a wardrobe/closet nearby.
Open it and you’ll see:
- A wheel mechanism inside
Turn the wheel, and something important happens:
- The chandelier in the main hall moves
This is where the puzzle starts to feel like an actual puzzle.
Step 4 – Align the Light with the Statue
Now go back and look at the chandelier.
Your goal:
- Rotate/move it so that light shines directly onto a statue
Once positioned correctly:
- A hidden wall opens
Behind that wall:
- You’ll find the second dagger
Step 5 – Fireplace Puzzle (Don’t Rush This)
Now take both daggers to the fireplace.
Important note:
- You may need to extinguish the fire first
- The interaction can feel a bit awkward, so take your time
Insert both daggers into the slots inside the fireplace.
Once done:
- A hidden path will open
Step 6 – Basement Loot Room
Now that you have:
- The key from earlier
- The fireplace unlocked
You can head down to the basement.
Inside:
- Loot
- Rewards
- And the actual payoff for doing the puzzle
Nothing crazy difficult here — just grab everything and enjoy the reward.
This is one of those puzzles that:
- Looks complicated at first
- But feels really satisfying once it clicks
And honestly, even though it’s optional, it’s 100% worth doing for the extra loot alone.
Also… if you enjoy little hidden mechanics like this, Glenbright Manor is a nice preview of how Crimson Desert likes to reward players who actually explore instead of rushing.
