Lucid Blocks Crafting Guide (Starter & Apotheosis Basics)

Lucid Blocks throws you into one of the strangest crafting systems you’ll see. At first, it feels random, almost like you’re guessing combinations blindly. But once you understand how Apotheosis crafting works, things start to click, and progression becomes much smoother.

This guide keeps things simple and focused on what actually helps early on.

How Crafting Works

The key idea behind crafting in Lucid Blocks is core items.

Most recipes revolve around one main item that acts as the base. For example:

  • Stick is the most common core item early on
  • Other materials modify or upgrade what that core becomes

That’s why the system can feel random at first. You’re not just combining items, you’re building off a foundation item.

Also important:
There are often multiple ways to craft the same item, so don’t worry if your recipe doesn’t match exactly.

Early Crafting

These are some of the most useful early-game items to craft first.

Wooden Pickaxe

Your first real progression tool.

Items needed:

  • Stick (from leaves)
  • Dirt Block

This opens up better resource gathering early.

Feather

Used for mobility crafting later.

Items needed:

  • Stick
  • Wool (from sheep)

Glider Glove

One of the most useful early movement tools.

Items needed:

  • Feather
  • Wool

This helps a lot with traversal and avoiding fall damage.

Metal Hook (Grappling Hook)

Extremely useful for movement and exploration.

Items needed:

  • Aluminum Blocks
  • Wooden Pickaxe

Alternate version:

  • Stick + Aluminum

Machination

A weaker version of the grappling tool.

Items needed:

  • Magnetite
  • String

Not ideal long-term, but usable early if materials are limited.

Cache Block (Chest)

Your main storage solution.

Items needed:

  • Aluminum Block
  • Prismatic Block

There are multiple ways to craft this, but this is the most reliable early one.

Tool Progression

Once you understand the system, upgrading tools becomes easier.

Leaf Pick

Basic early alternative pick.

Items needed:

  • Stick (or Pickaxe)
  • Grass Block

Ice Pick

Useful for specific materials.

Items needed:

  • Stick
  • Osmium Block

Bone Pick

Another early variant.

Items needed:

  • Eye or String
  • Bone

Upgraded Pickaxe

Stronger mining option.

Items needed:

  • Wooden Pickaxe
  • Aluminum Blocks (x3)

Cristella’s Bane (Shovel)

Early shovel option.

Items needed:

  • Stick
  • Kila

Early Weapons

Weapons follow the same “core item” logic.

Paddle

Simple early weapon with flexible recipes.

Items needed:

  • Stick
  • Dice or Cyst

Sulfurous Sword

Solid early weapon.

Items needed:

  • Sulfur
  • Stick

Azrael

Stronger upgrade path weapon.

Items needed:

  • Cobalt Block
  • Stick

Tendril Rapier

More advanced weapon progression.

Items needed:

  • Azrael
  • Mercury Tendril

Lucid Blocks crafting feels chaotic at first, but it is not random. Once you understand that everything revolves around core items like sticks, the system becomes much more predictable.
