The Abyss Without Balance puzzle shows up early in Crimson Desert, right when the game starts introducing traversal tools like the grapple and movement-based mechanics. It looks more complicated than it actually is, mainly because it mixes platforming with a small environmental puzzle at the end.
If you take it step by step, it is very manageable.

Before the actual puzzle, you need to clear a short platforming path.
Move carefully across platforms using your grapple-assisted jumps. As long as your marker is roughly lined up with the next platform, your jumps will connect reliably. There is no need to rush here. Most mistakes happen when trying to move too fast.
You will also come across a moving platform. Stand in the center to activate it, wait for it to carry you forward, then jump to the next platform when it lines up. From there, continue across until you reach the teleporter.
Step onto the teleporter to reach the puzzle area.
Step 1: Remove the Floor Block
Once you arrive, you will see the objective hint about removing a blocked section.
Look for a rock you can grab with your grapple. You need to pull this rock and position it into the correct slot nearby. The placement can feel a bit awkward, so take your time and adjust it until it fits properly.
When placed correctly, the blocked floor opens and you can safely drop down.
Step 2: Learn the Force Ability
After dropping down, head to the nearby figure or statue and interact with it. This teaches you the Force ability (used with your melee input).
If the interaction does not appear, try reloading or restarting, as this step can sometimes not trigger properly.
Once learned, you are ready for the main part of the puzzle.
Step 3: Move the Floating Object
Now you need to reposition a floating object in the room.
Use your grapple to grab it, then carefully move and align it with the correct wall or platform. You can rotate and adjust its position until it sits properly in place.
Be careful of the electric floor while doing this. Standing in it will damage you, so keep your positioning clean.
Step 4: Use Force to Activate the Mechanism
Once the object is correctly placed, walk up to it and use your Force ability.
This triggers the mechanism and activates the center of the room, progressing the puzzle.
Step 5: Climb and Activate the Wheel
Next, you need to reach the large structure above.
You can either:
- Climb safely along the edges
- Or move quickly through and grapple upward if you have enough health
Once you reach the large wheel, climb onto it and position yourself near the middle.
Use the Force ability again to activate it. This completes the puzzle sequence and triggers the final path forward.
After the mechanism activates, simply climb or jump up to the upper platform that opens up. That is the exit, and completing this section moves you forward in the area.
