Crimson Desert Gear Locations – Hwando, Necklace

Unique gear in Crimson Desert is worth hunting down early, not always because the base stats are dramatically better, but because many of these items come with special Abyss Cores. That is what really makes them valuable. Even if you stop using the gear itself later, the core attached to it can still matter if you move that effect onto something stronger that better fits your build.

That makes early unique gear more than simple filler loot. It is long-term upgrade material, and if you know where to look, you can grab several strong pieces without waiting until deep into the game.

Crimson Desert Unique Gear Locations

A lot of standard gear will eventually be replaced, either through crafting manuals, better shop stock, or stronger drops. Unique gear stands out because it often brings something extra with it. The real prize is usually the special core effect rather than the raw defense or attack value.

That is why these pieces are worth collecting even if they do not end up staying in your active loadout for long. Think of them as both equipment and future enhancement options.

Early Unique Gear to Find

Here are some of the early unique items worth tracking down.

Oath of Darkness Earring

This one can be found in a lockbox at Bluemont Manor. It is one of the easier early unique accessory pickups and worth grabbing if you are already exploring that area carefully.

Refined Gold Necklace

Also found at Bluemont Manor, but in a different building. Since you are already searching that location for one unique item, it makes sense to sweep the area properly and come away with both.

Saint’s Necklace

The Saint’s Necklace is found in a lockbox at Hillside Manor. Like the other early accessories, this is the kind of pickup that is easy to miss if you rush through buildings instead of checking side rooms and containers.

Hwando

Hwando is one of the more notable early finds because it is a unique two-handed sword and comes with the Insight I Abyss Core. It is located in a side building at Lancress Manor. Even if you are not committed to two-handed weapons, this is exactly the sort of item worth collecting for the core alone.

Grave Gold Earring

This earring is found in a lockbox at Lrest Gold Manor. It is a useful early accessory pickup, though it seems less exclusive than some others since another copy can also come from a quest reward.

Royden Large Shield

This shield is found in a chest inside Lancress Manor. If you are already there for Hwando, it is worth fully looting the manor instead of leaving after one find.

Brass Warden Plate Gloves

These are also found in a chest inside Lancress Manor. That makes Lancress one of the better early sweep locations if you want multiple unique pickups in one trip.

Mining Knuckledrill

This one is a little different because it is not found in a lockbox or chest. The Mining Knuckledrill drops from Marne the Excavatron, a boss tied to the Stolen Quarry quest for House Roberts. This seems to be one of the tougher early unique weapon pickups, but it is still worth pursuing if you want a more combat-focused reward.

Best One to Prioritize

If you are only going after a few of these early, Hwando is probably one of the best places to start because it gives you both a weapon and a useful Abyss Core. Lancress Manor also seems especially efficient overall since it contains multiple unique items in one location, making it a better use of your time than riding all over the map for single accessories one at a time.

The Mining Knuckledrill is also a strong target if you are comfortable with tougher fights and want something earned through combat instead of exploration.

Boss Fight Tip

For the Marne the Excavatron fight, one of the better prep options is upgrading Force Palm to level three. That unlocks a stun effect after landing three hits, which gives you a much better opening against the boss and makes the encounter more manageable than trying to brute force it undergeared.

That kind of prep matters in Crimson Desert, especially when a unique weapon is tied to a tougher optional fight rather than a simple chest pickup.

Early unique gear in Crimson Desert is worth collecting because the value goes beyond the item itself. Weapons, armor, and accessories with unique Abyss Cores can keep paying off even after you outgrow their basic stats. That makes manor sweeps, lockbox hunts, and boss rewards much more valuable than they first seem.

If you want the most efficient early route, Lancress Manor looks like the best place to prioritize, with Bluemont Manor close behind for easy accessory pickups.
