The Suburbs map looks calm, quiet, and almost boring when you first step into it. But don’t let that fool you. This case hides one of the smartest story traps in the entire game. The map is designed to push you into blaming the wrong person unless you pay attention to the smallest details.
Detective Duck The Suburbs Walkthrough Guide
Let’s walk through it properly.
Breaking Into the Yard
As soon as the round begins, pick up the axe nearby.
Use it to enter the neighbor’s backyard.
You will see dirt piles and a shovel, but digging here leads nowhere important. This area exists mostly to distract you. What you actually need is the sack sitting close by. Fill it with sand so you can carry it with you.
There’s also a note warning about suspicious neighbors and calling the police. This confirms the crime already started before you arrived.
Inside the Brothers’ House
Grab the key from the yard and head into the main house.
Two people live here:
- Alexander
- Marcus
Both of them are involved, but only one is guilty.
A burning blockage will stop your path. Throw the sand sack on the fire to clear it.
Now switch on your UV light and carefully scan the walls and furniture. You’ll notice the word STEEL faintly glowing in places. You won’t use it immediately, but this is the biggest clue in the entire case.
Pick up the next key and continue forward.
Fingerprint Door and the Garage
Soon you’ll reach a locked door that needs a fingerprint.
Take the fingerprint sample nearby and place it in the scanner to unlock the garage.
Inside, you will find:
- A decoder device
- A paper note saying:
“Fridge number + 1.4 = the code.”
Go back to the kitchen and read the fridge number. It shows 99.6.
Add 1.4 and you get 101.
Also grab the Bloxy Bank ID card lying around — you will need it later.
Hidden Message Hunt
The book near the decoder says:
“Behind painting and under coffee.”
Go to the painting and scan behind it with UV.
You will find the number 706.
Now move to the coffee table, scan under it, and you’ll see 965.
Enter 706965 into the decoder.
This reveals:
- Transaction ID: 890
- Money sent to account: Block C123
Alexander Looks Guilty… At First
In Alexander’s bedroom, you will find:
- A bank email showing money sent to Block C123
- A diary where he celebrates suddenly receiving 500 million Ticks
This is where most players get tricked. Everything points at Alexander. But the map is not finished with you yet.
Going to the Bank
Use the Bloxy Bank ID to enter the bank.
Inside the director’s office, transaction records confirm:
- Transaction 890
- Receiver: Block C123
- Owner of the account: Alexander
Again, it seems like he’s the thief.
But now you need to question how the transfer was even possible.
Marcus’s Secret Setup
Head back and inspect Marcus’s room carefully.
Here you’ll discover:
- Server equipment
- Bank tracking systems
- Bloxy IDs
- More UV clues spelling STEEL
Marcus works in the bank’s IT department.
He had system access, transaction permissions, and the ability to authorize transfers.
The word STEEL is the authorization phrase he used to complete the illegal transfer.
What Actually Happened
Marcus stole the money himself.
Then he sent the stolen Ticks to his brother’s bank account to make Alexander look guilty.
That is why Alexander was confused in his diary — he truly had no idea where the money came from.
Marcus framed his own brother.
Correct Final Choice
Vote Marcus.
He is the real criminal behind the cyber theft.
