Arcane Odyssey Magic Tier List (Full Release) – PvP and PvE

If you are picking your magic in Arcane Odyssey and don’t want to regret it later, this tier list will save you hours of rerolling and grinding. I tested and fought against almost every magic in the current full release meta, and the difference between good and bad picks is massive. Some magics straight up bully players, while others feel like you are playing in slow motion.

Here is the real, no-fluff breakdown.

S Tier

These magics control fights, win duels, and stay strong in both solo and group combat.

Shadow Magic
Shadow is pure psychological warfare. You don’t lose to shadow because of damage — you lose because you can’t see anything. Projectiles blend into the sky and water, panic kicks in, and suddenly you’re dodging into attacks. In clan fights, shadow turns the battlefield into chaos. If you like playing dirty and winning anyway, this is your magic.

Lightning Magic
Lightning is comfort food for PvP players. Everything is fast, clean, and easy to land. It keeps enemies locked in shock pressure, and you always feel in control. Works beautifully for Warlocks, Mages, and hybrid builds.

Plasma Magic
Plasma is fire magic on caffeine. It is insanely fast, burns constantly, and forces enemies to keep moving. One mistake from your opponent and their health melts. It feels aggressive, smooth, and always on the offensive.

Light Magic
Light is one of the most annoying magics in the game — which is exactly why it’s top tier. Blinds are brutal, projectiles are lightning fast, and duels feel unfair for whoever is on the receiving end.

A Tier

Not broken, but absolutely deadly in the right hands.

Fire Magic
Fire is the definition of consistent. It never feels weak and never feels awkward. Burn damage keeps pressure on enemies while you reposition. Perfect for players who want stability.

Ice Magic
Ice rewards clean aim. Freeze gives you breathing room and guaranteed follow-ups. It’s not flashy, but it is extremely reliable and strong in duels.

Metal Magic
When metal hits, it hits hard. The fear alone forces enemies to play carefully. Amazing in large fights and wars, but punishing if you miss.

Explosion Magic
Pure chaos. Explosion covers huge areas, dominates group fights, and makes enemies panic. Harder to land in clean duels, but still terrifying.

Acid Magic
Acid is poison done right. It melts tank builds quickly and stacks damage fast. If you like watching health bars disappear, this is a very satisfying pick.

Glass Magic
High risk, high reward. Glass bleeds opponents fast and snowballs damage quickly. Play aggressive and it becomes deadly.

B Tier

These work well in PvE or niche PvP builds, but are not top meta.

Water Magic
Good for PvE grinding, but feels slow and flat in PvP where everyone is jumping and dodging constantly.

Poison Magic
Damage over time is nice, but too slow for fast-paced fights. Good for bosses, weaker in duels.

Magma Magic
Strong damage but painfully slow. Very frustrating against mobile players.

Snow Magic
Playable, but simply worse than Ice. Most players will wish they picked Ice instead.

C Tier

They can work, but you are making the game harder for yourself.

Earth Magic
Too slow for the current mobility-heavy meta. Miss once and you’re heavily punished.

Crystal Magic
Relies on a combo mechanic that’s difficult to pull off in real PvP fights. Feels inconsistent and clunky.

Sand Magic
Feels like a weaker Shadow without the visual pressure or damage. Outclassed in almost every scenario.

D Tier

These magics struggle badly in the current meta.

Wood Magic
Slow, weak, and lacks meaningful pressure. Almost no reason to use it over anything else.

Gravity Magic
Long charge times, easy to punish, and not enough payoff.

Wind Magic
Low damage and mostly utility-based. In a game where burst damage decides fights, wind just can’t keep up.

If you want the easiest and strongest PvP experience, go for Lightning, Shadow, Plasma, or Light.
If you want something balanced and reliable, Fire, Ice, Acid, Explosion, and Metal are excellent picks.
If you care about PvE more than PvP, Water, Poison, and Magma are still solid.
And if you are tempted by Wood, Wind, or Gravity — think twice.
