The Prismatic Pickaxe is currently the strongest mining tool you can get in The Forge, and unlocking it feels more like completing a hidden questline than simply buying an item. This is not something you just walk up and purchase. You have to earn it.

How to Get the Prismatic Pickaxe in The Forge Guide
Before you even think about going for this pickaxe, make sure you have two things ready:
First, you need 2,000,000 gold. You will spend all of it in one click. There are no discounts, and you cannot partially buy this pickaxe.
Second, your pickaxe must deal at least 320 base damage. Anything weaker will not work. This means early-game pickaxes like Demon Eye are useless here.
The minimum pickaxe that qualifies is the Snow Pickaxe, and unlocking that alone takes a lot of grinding because you must complete several Mororow quests before it even becomes available in the shop.
Finding the Hidden Glacier
Once you have a qualifying pickaxe, head out of the main village.
Move toward the ship, then turn left while facing the village. Keep running until you reach a frozen pond area. You will see a massive castle nearby, but ignore it. Run past it, then take a right.
Eventually, you will find a large icy pond with a giant glacier sitting in the middle of it. This glacier is the real gatekeeper to the Prismatic Pickaxe.
The Glacier Grind (This Takes Time)
This glacier can only be mined if your pickaxe deals 320+ base damage. Once you start mining, do not stop.
If you stop hitting it for too long, the glacier resets and you lose your progress. There is also no visible health bar, so you will not know how close you are until it visibly shrinks.
This part takes time. Even with Miner Potions and Miner Totems active, expect to be mining for around 15 minutes straight. It slowly gets smaller, and once it finally breaks, it reveals a hidden NPC and drops an ultra-rare item.
The Item You Must Get
When the glacier breaks, you receive Exotic Masaurite. This item is mandatory.
Without it, you cannot buy the Prismatic Pickaxe, even if you somehow glitch into the area. The game hard-locks the purchase behind this material.
Buying the Prismatic Pickaxe
With Exotic Masaurite in your inventory and 2,000,000 gold ready, you can now finally buy the Prismatic Pickaxe.
And the moment you do, you will understand why this thing is so hyped.
Prismatic Pickaxe Stats
This pickaxe completely outclasses everything else:
- 650 Mining Power
- +20% Mining Speed
- +72% Luck
- 4 Rune Slots
It is not even close. It blows past the previous best pickaxe in both power and efficiency.
Why This Pickaxe Changes Everything
The four rune slots are what make this pickaxe insane. You can stack multiple high-tier luck or power runes and turn it into a legendary farming machine.
With full luck runes and potions active, this pickaxe becomes one of the best tools for hunting rare drops and legendaries, even though some endgame crystals still have absurdly high HP.
This is not a casual upgrade. Unlocking the Prismatic Pickaxe feels like beating a secret boss and getting a mythic reward. It takes preparation, patience, and a lot of mining, but once you have it, every other pickaxe in your inventory instantly feels outdated.
