Fisch FISCHMAS Update – Santa, Quests, Presents & Codes

The Fisch FISCHMAS Update is finally live, and this is not a small seasonal patch. It’s a full event with new areas, mechanics, quests, rare systems, and one of the biggest decision-based rewards Fisch has ever added. If you’re logging in and feeling a bit overwhelmed, don’t worry. This guide walks you through everything in a clear, natural flow so you understand what to do and why it matters.

How to Start the Fisch Fischmas Update 2025

To begin Fischmas, head to Moosewood. Near the area where you usually find the traveler, you’ll see the Advent Calendar and a Magical Train. The train is your entry point into the Fischmas limited-time event.

Once you board the train, you’ll be taken into a brand-new winter region. This isn’t a simple teleport to one island. The event is structured like a journey, with multiple connected locations and progression gates.

Glacial Ridge – Your First Stop

After the short intro, you arrive at Glacial Ridge. This area immediately introduces one of Fischmas’ core mechanics: fragile ice.

The ice here can break if you jump or move carelessly, dropping you into freezing water. The game is clearly telling you to slow down. This area is filled with snowmen, icy platforms, and strong winter visuals, but it’s also hiding secrets.

You’ll notice igloos scattered around. These are not just decoration. Exploring this area properly instead of rushing through is important, especially if you want to uncover everything Fischmas offers.

Moving Toward Northstar Castle

Past Glacial Ridge, you’ll make your way toward Northstar Castle, which is the heart of the Fischmas update.

Before entering, you’ll need to pull a lever near the gates to open them. Once inside, you’ll see trailers and visual hints showing you where key locations are, which helps a lot with navigation.

This is where the update starts to feel bigger and more serious.

Northstar Village – The Main Hub

Inside the castle, you’ll find Northstar Village. This is your main hub during Fischmas.

Here’s what makes it important:

  • The Merchant is here, where you sell Fischmas event fish
  • Limited-time fishing rods and cosmetics are available
  • NPCs and quests guide your event progression
  • This area connects directly to Santa’s Workshop

If you’re a collector or someone who likes rare items, this village is where most of your grinding will happen.

Santa’s Workshop & Santa Quest

Santa’s Workshop has returned, but it’s been upgraded, and something about it feels… off.

This isn’t just a fun seasonal area. Santa and his workshop are tied directly into progression. Skipping this area or ignoring Santa is a mistake if you want to experience the full update.

There are hints that Fischmas may unfold in parts, similar to previous years, so expect Santa’s role to become even more important as the event progresses.

Frost Moon – Extremely Rare but Important

One of the biggest new systems is the Frost Moon.

This is a rare weather event that can happen at any time. When it appears, the sky changes and the Frost Moon emits a noticeable glow.

That glow isn’t cosmetic.

It’s required to unlock something hidden inside the village. So if you ever see the Frost Moon active, stop what you’re doing and take advantage of it. You may not see it again for a long time.

Aquarium Presents & Social Features

Your personal aquarium also received a Fischmas upgrade.

You can now:

  • Claim daily presents from your aquarium
  • Visit your friends’ aquariums
  • Gift presents directly to friends

It’s a small feature, but it adds a really warm, social feeling to the update and makes Fischmas feel more alive.

Santa’s Letter – The Most Important Choice

This is the most critical part of the entire update.

Santa now offers a special reward through Santa’s Letter. Between December 24th and December 26th, you can send Santa a letter asking him to craft any obtainable fishing rod for you.

But here’s the catch:

You only get one chance.

No rerolls
No retries
No second pick

Once you choose a rod, that’s final.

This means you should not rush this decision. Think long-term. Choose a rod that fits your playstyle and future goals, not just what looks cool right now.

Overall Quality of Life Improvements

Alongside the content, Fischmas also brings:

  • Bug fixes
  • Cleaner UI interactions
  • Smoother progression

Grinding during Fischmas feels noticeably better compared to older events.
