This guide pulls together a full progression of builds for IDLE Boss Rush, from your very first prestige all the way into late-game Divine Gem farming and high-end spear setups.
I’ll walk through: How prestige and Divine Gems work in practice? What you should focus on in every run and A full list of IDLE Boss Rush Best Build in order: early game, mid game, speed-farms, and endgame
Where possible, I’ll also note the original creators of each build so credit goes where it belongs.
General Progression and Prestige Notes
Before you start copying any build, make sure you understand how progression actually flows in IDLE Boss Rush.
Unlocking Prestige and Divine Gems
You need to unlock Prestige before any of these builds really shine.
Your first prestige usually happens around 25–50 Divine Gems (roughly 2–4 hours into the full version if you know what you’re doing).
Divine Gems come from:
Achievements linked to Town Hall level and boss kills.
Later on, special Merchants that let you trade materials or equipment directly for Divine Gems.
If you can, play the demo for a bit before jumping into the full version so you bring some permanent buffs with you.
Soft vs Hard Prestige
Whenever you prestige, you have two options:
- Hard Prestige
- Resets everything, you basically start a new file with your permanent bonuses.
- Very strong in early game where runs are short and resources are cheap.
- Soft Prestige
- Lets you add prestige points to the tree from your current run, but costs a lot of materials.
- Better for late-game when you have big stockpiles and want to refine your build without doing a full wipe every time.
Early on, you generally want to hard prestige until your tree is solid and you are comfortably reaching higher bosses.
What Every Run Should Aim For
No matter what build you’re using, the core goals of your runs are the same:
Kill more bosses
-
- Each boss drops 2–3 items.
- Killing bosses 10 / 100 / 1000 times unlocks achievements, Divine Gems, and gives you more boss-specific materials for forging.
Push the Arena
-
- Try to reach Gold rewards.
- Arena perks and rewards significantly boost your long-term power.
Use the Merchants
-
- Buy materials, items, and Divine Gems when it makes sense.
- Save rare currencies for upgrades that actually push your builds, not random junk.
Upgrade your gear in the Forge
-
- Use collected boss materials to level up your main build items.
- Many builds hinge on a few key legendaries at high levels.
Once you understand this loop, the builds below become clear: each one is just a different, more efficient way to do the same core tasks.
11 DG – Starter Poison Warriors (by Akki)
This is your first real build after unlocking Prestige. It is simple, cheap, and strong enough to carry you through your earliest progression.
Concept
Stack poison extremely quickly and let buffed warriors finish the job. You do not worry about a fancy setup yet; you are just looking for raw, reliable damage.
Core Items
Economy
- Ruff – Gold and overall economy boost.
Military
- Giant Cleaver – Increases warrior damage, your main killers.
Magic
- Tooth Necklace – Handles poison stacking cheaply and efficiently.
Building Focus
- Warriors → Max
- This is your main damage source.
- Farm → Max
- More farm means more income, which speeds up everything.
Avoid
- Almost everything else early on.
- Do not spread your upgrades too thin. Maxing a few key things is far better than touching everything once.
This build is a great opener and gets you comfortable with poison and warrior synergy.
51 DG – Frost Clicker
This build is meant to be your “clear everything once” tool. It uses frost trolls and clicker synergy to chew through bosses and finish the Arena on Gold.
Concept
Trolls apply Freeze and you stack frost damage and click effects. It is easy to pilot and very effective for finishing the game at least once.
Talent Tree
- Minimum 51 Prestige Points to start.
- Prioritize:
- Frost damage multipliers.
- Freeze synergy nodes.
- Loot chance nodes for better farming.
Adding Rain × Freeze synergy is especially strong if your tree allows it.
Advisors
Magic (2 slots)
- Ice Whip (Epic or higher)
- Crystal Ring
Economy (4 slots)
- Snout Brooch
- Flint Shield
- Moonstone Ring
- Ruff
Units
- Trolls are the core. Prioritize stats in this order:
- Troll limit
- Freeze chance
- Bounce chance
- Everything else afterwards
Use Case
- Designed to:
- Kill every boss at least once.
- Finish Arena on Gold.
- Provide a comfortable way to “beat” the game and farm while you gather gear for more advanced builds.
66 DG – Troll Low Budget Build
This is a low-investment poison troll build that pushes deep while requiring only a handful of key items.
Requirements
- Epic Crystal Boulder
- Great Altering Clock
Talent Tree
- At least 66 points to get the core nodes.
- Extra points go into additional advisor slots to equip more items.
Advisors
Military (2)
- Crystal Boulder
- Toxic Tongue
- (Sacred Bolt for later if you unlock more slots)
Magic (2)
- Altering Clock
- Toxic Bath Salts
- (Flaming Eye if you have room)
Economy (2)
- Ghost Coat – Must sit between the two Military advisors to boost both Crystal Boulder and Toxic Tongue.
- Dowsing Rods
- (Rigged Dice later if you have more slots)
Units
- Trolls – Max everything.
- Phoenix – Only Phoenix in the bird tree, no other bird upgrades.
- Toads – Max everything except damage (you want their utility, not their raw DPS).
Use Case
With proper gear, your kill times look roughly like this:
- Up to Moonsooneal: extremely fast clears.
- Moonsooneal: under 6 seconds.
- Toxlick: under 3 seconds.
- Rayjin: under 1 second.
A superb build to push higher while still being “budget” compared to late-game setups.
77 DG – Divine Gem Speed Farm
This build exists only to convert your massive resource stockpile into Divine Gems as fast as possible.
Requirements
You need:
- A large backlog of equipment and materials.
- Key items:
- Toxic Tongue
- Ghost Coat
- Flint Shield
- Altering Clock
- Toxic Bath Salts
- Optional: Snout Brooch for extra speed
Epic quality (minimum) on Tongue and Cloak is recommended.
Run Flow
- Start a new run.
- Rush Town Hall level 4.
- Build the Forge, unlock item upgrading and enhancing.
- Assign advisors in this order: Military → Economy → Magic.
- Equip:
- Tongue
- Ghost Coat
- Flint Shield
- Altering Clock
- Toxic Bath Salts
- Push bosses to Monsooneal. Then either:
- Farm Bird until roughly 1T gold and then proceed, or
- Move to Gargalog, use the high poison proc to kill, then toggle back and forth to build gold quickly.
- Max Town Hall.
- Max Alchemist and Marketplace, buy your Divine Gems.
- Reset and repeat.
Once practiced, the whole loop can be under a minute per batch of gems, depending on your speed and gear.
78 DG – Low Level Spears
This is your first spear build, focused on low DG but high poison synergy.
Concept
- Use warriors to stack poison as fast as possible.
- Spears gain massive bonus damage from Heart for every poison stack present.
- Ruff and Scythe accelerate spear generation, while Moonstone Ring and Snout Brooch feed you meteors and economy.
Core Items
Economy
- Snout Brooch – More meteors.
- Moonstone Ring (Epic+) – Automatic meteors.
- Scythe – Boosts spear production.
- Ruff – Economy and additional spear support.
Magic
- Heart – Core spear buff scaling with poison stacks.
- Crystal Ring – Boosts elemental damage.
- Tooth Necklace – Cheap, fast poison stacking.
Building Focus
- Farm → Max
- Warriors → Only numbers, no damage upgrades. Warriors exist purely to stack poison.
- Toads → Max
- Ballista (poison) → Max
- Celestial Bastion → Max
Avoid
- All other buildings and distractions.
- This build is laser-focused on maximizing spear damage from poison scaling.
84 DG – Troll Medium Budget Build
A more refined troll-based build that pushes higher bosses with better gear.
Requirements
- Legendary Crystal Boulder
- Great Altering Clock
- Great Ungodly Flail
Because Ghost Coat can be Great or Epic, there are two main advisor layouts.
Advisor Setup (Great Ghost Coat)
Magic
- Altering Clock + Toxic Bath Salts
Economy
- Ghost Cloak
Military
- Crystal Boulder
- Ungodly Flail
- Toxic Tongue
Economy
- Rigged Dice (or Snout Brooch if your Dice is under level 20)
Advisor Setup (Epic Ghost Coat)
Military
- Crystal Boulder
Economy
- Ghost Cloak
Magic
- Altering Clock + Toxic Bath Salts
Military
- Ungodly Flail
- Toxic Tongue
Economy
- Rigged Dice (or Snout Brooch)
Units
- Trolls – Max everything.
- Birds – Only Phoenix, ignore the rest.
- Toads – Max everything except damage.
- Ballista – Max everything except direct damage (focus on Fire Bolts and utility).
Use Case
- Up to Moonsooneal: kill times are very low.
- Gargolag: under 20 seconds.
- Hexgaze: under 45 seconds.
- Granodioroth: roughly 2–3 minutes with level 20 Snout Brooch and Rigged Dice.
Upgrade Path Notes
A natural farming route looks like:
- Clear each boss once to get one copy of each build item (often with birds).
- Use dice on birds while you farm:
- Legendary Salt
- Legendary Tongue
- Legendary Egg
- With poison builds, farm Epic Clock on Garg.
- Use your Epic Clock to reach the last boss and farm Legendary Flail.
- Swap to troll poison, return to Garg to farm Legendary Clock.
- With Legendary Clock and Legendary Dice, push Hex and farm Legendary Coat.
89 DG – Divine Gem Speed Farm v2
This is a more optimized speed farm for Divine Gems, averaging roughly 2 gems every 1 minute 30 seconds.
Requirements
- Around 89 Prestige Points (can be done with less but will be slower).
- Plenty of materials and equipment from a farming build like Meteor Birds.
Talent Tree
- Prioritize frost damage nodes.
- Take the extra advisor slots for maximum efficiency.
Advisors
Magic (2 slots)
- Epic Icewhip
- Legendary Crystal Ring
Economy (3 slots)
- Ghost Coat
- Epic Snout Brooch
- Legendary Flint Shield
Units
- Trolls: 1 or 2, no upgrades besides unlocking them.
- No other units.
Strategy Flow (Short Version)
- Start run, pick a fast name.
- Rush Town Halls and pour gold into citizens.
- Kill the Worm, go next.
- Build Citizens’ first building, pick advisors in order: Magic → Economy → Economy.
- After the Rat, open advisors and equip: Icewhip, Crystal Ring, Ghost Coat, Snout Brooch, Flint Shield.
- Kill through Snow Boar, Papajonk, Crystal Golem, Hypno, Baldog, Rayjin, Toxlick.
- Max Town Hall, recruit enough citizens (around 110).
- Unlock Troll Cave and buy 1–2 Trolls.
- Go to Monsooneal and kill her repeatedly until you hit around 1.5T.
- Unlock Alchemist level 4 and buy Divine Gems.
- Unlock Marketplace level 4 and buy more Divine Gems.
- Open any chests, reset run, repeat.
Once you have the muscle memory, this becomes a very steady gem printing machine.
56–111 DG – Meteor Birbs
This is a fast farming build focused on Meteor Birds. It is not meant to push super high; it is meant to shred up to Monsooneal as quickly as possible.
Concept
- Spam meteors to stack crit damage buffs on birds.
- Birds then delete bosses almost instantly.
Core Items
Economy
- Snout Brooch – More meteors.
- Moonstone Ring (Epic+) – Auto meteors.
- Flint Shield – Faster respawns.
- Dowsing Rods – More chests overall.
- Ruff – General economy.
Military
- Meteor Hammer – Amplifies bird damage via meteor interactions.
- Zephyr Fan – Optional early; adds more bird damage and Nimble buff.
Building Focus
- Farm → Max
- Birds → Max, but no Phoenix
- Ballista → Max
Avoid
- Everything else.
This build is one of the fastest early–mid game farmers for both items and materials.
137–183 DG – Infinite Poison
Now we step into one of the most broken poison builds: “Infinite Poison.”
Concept
- Toxic Tongue and Toxic Bath Salts constantly trigger Altering Clock.
- This creates a feedback loop of poison stacks that can effectively “break” the game.
- It is also an incredible farm build.
You can swap Rigged Dice for Flint Shield if you want faster Arena clear times.
Core Items
Magic
- Crystal Ring
- Toxic Bath Salts
- Altering Clock
- Cursed Scroll
Economy
- Ghost Coat
- Rigged Dice
- Ruff
- Dowsing Rods
Military
- Toxic Tongue
Magic
- Cloudborn Egg
Building Focus
- Farm → Max
- Toads → Max (no damage upgrades)
- Birds → Max (no damage upgrades)
- Ballista (poison) → Max
- Celestial Bastion → Max
Avoid
- Everything else.
This build is famous for its near-infinite stacking and is easily one of the best late-game farming setups.
180 DG – Meteor Bird Endgame
This is the polished endgame Meteor Bird setup. It is not the absolute fastest for the deepest bosses, but it is extremely strong and fun to play.
Concept
- Meteor Hammer and Zephyr Fan are the core.
- You actively change the weather in Template and pick up meteors to keep birds fully buffed at all times.
Gameplay Loop
- Every 30 seconds, change the weather 3–4 times to keep birds’ Nimble buff up (from Zephyr Fan).
- Every 2–3 seconds, pick up a meteor to maintain Momentum from Meteor Hammer.
- Focus on attack speed buffing meteors as a priority.
With 51 birds and full legendary gear at level 20:
- Gargolag: under 2 seconds.
- Hexgaze: 6–20 seconds depending on disabling mechanics and meteor luck.
- Grano: 70–80 seconds.
- Every other boss: essentially instant.
Items (Advisor Order, Legendary Level 20)
- Economy – Moonstone Ring + Snout Brooch
- Economy – Ghost Coat + Dowsing Rods
- Military – Meteor Hammer + Zephyr Fan
- Economy – Rigged Dice + Ruff
- Magic – Cloudborne Egg
- Economy – Flint Shield
Building Focus
- Farm → Max
- Birds → Max, no Phoenix
- Ballista → Max
- Toads → Max (no damage)
- Temple → Max
Notes
- Some players prefer to turn Ballista off to reduce screen clutter and damage calculations.
- Same idea for Toads; they are valuable for Rigged Dice and materials, but you can experiment.
- In the skill tree, avoid meteor nodes that add extra meteor types you do not want, to keep the chance of attack speed meteors as high as possible.
192 DG – High Level Spears
This is the endgame spear build, supercharging everything you learned from the low-level version with meteors and deeper economy.
Concept
- Stack poison insanely fast through warriors, toads, and structures.
- Use Heart to give spears huge bonus damage per poison stack.
- Meteors maintain permanent attack speed and add even more poison application.
- You will easily reach tens of thousands of spears on screen.
Core Items
Economy
- Snout Brooch – More meteors.
- Moonstone Ring (Epic+) – Auto meteors.
- Scythe – Extra spears.
- Ruff – Economy and spear boosts.
- Rigged Dice – More economy and poison procs.
Military
- Toxic Tongue – Heavy poison application.
Magic
- Tooth Amulet – Extra poison stacking.
- Crystal Ring – Elemental damage scaling.
- Cursed Scroll – Direct spear damage.
- Heart – Spear damage scaling from poison stacks.
Building Focus
- Farm → Max
- Warriors → Max, but no damage upgrades
- Toads → Max, but no damage upgrades
- Ballista (poison) → Max
- Celestial Bastion → Max
Avoid
- Everything not directly supporting poison, spears, or meteor-driven DPS.
This is one of the strongest builds in the game when fully online and is an excellent capstone after you have run through birds and poison setups.
