In this Maple Tale Gear Guide, we will be focusing on Excellent Gear and Legendary Gear, as in refining you are only able to get advanced stats with gear that is Excellent and above.
Maple Tale Gear Guide for All Build
Firstly, if you are able to do so save up gear for 2 builds. There is an option of quick swapping gear, we will be using this feature to build for PVP/Exploration/Bosses and another one for EXP and Gear farming. Note: doing this will cost a lot of refinement stones especially if your aim is to have 3 Excellent stats in all of your gears.
For the first build, we will be focusing on refining for base stats, skills, and most importantly, Lucky Strike. There are also titles to Legendary gear so make sure that you are saving up these legendary gears that have set effect titles as it gives more base STR/AGI/MAG and at 6 set effect, depending on the title, it may give Crit Rate, Hit, etc.
The second build will be more focused on Extra Drops, Better Drops, and EXP gain (We will be disregarding gold gain as gold will not be as much of a problem for now.) There is no need to slot in Legendary Gear for this build as we only want the chance to get Excellent stats as we refine it.
Tempering, to summarize it, this isn’t really as important, it just raises the Quality Degree of 1 gear that has an exact copy of it. Quality Degree is extra stats that is distributed to all stats of one gear randomly. Advanced Tempering is so that we choose which stats it distributes this to, but still randomly. Tempering Legendary Gear does not need to have the same title/set title, as long as you have the same gear name, you are able to temper it
Gems: it’s pretty self explanatory, just try to fit in as much gems as possible and don’t forget to craft it and make it a higher level gem.
Star-Up This is only for legendary gear, make sure the gear you star up has high stats because it raises stats only by 10% each time you Star-Up
Extra note on Star-Ups, make sure you will stick with this gear for a long time as getting materials is a hassle and Star-Ups aren’t the same as enhancing where it enhances the slot and not the gear itself. Star-Ups are only for one specific gear so be careful
Tempering: Quality Degree on an item is how much more stats it will give you. For example, you have a gear with quality degree of 50, this amount will be distributed to the stats the gear has, for example you have an armor with all stats, this 50 might be distributed into AGI, STR, MAG, or DEF.
When you temper an item it just increases the quality degree and randomly distributes the stats. This is where Advanced Tempering/Stats Polishing comes handy.
This feature allows you to choose which stats get increased, lock the stats that you want to be increased and use advanced tempering so that you only randomly distribute it into 1-2 stats of your choice. Note that stat polishing/advanced tempering costs gems and does not guarantee a massive increase in quality degree, basically it’s stat gacha, be careful
