Throne and Liberty Class Tier List 2025 (Updated 3.1.0)

Throne and Liberty’s weapon system is one of the most flexible in modern MMORPGs. Every player runs with a main-hand and an off-hand weapon, and the synergy between the two determines whether you’ll be topping damage charts, soaking hits as an unkillable frontline, or keeping your allies alive as a clutch healer.

This Throne and Liberty Class Tier List covers all weapons — Crossbow, Dagger, Greatsword, Longbow, Staff, Sword & Shield, and Wand — with the strongest combinations for both PvE and PvP.

It has been fully updated for Patch 3.1.0 (September 24, 2025), which brought a wave of quality-of-life changes, dungeon matchmaking fixes, and balance adjustments. While no major weapon reworks were included this time, the meta has shifted slightly thanks to better dungeon accessibility, crafting corrections, and smoother battleground pacing.

As always, remember: play what you enjoy. Balance can change at any moment, and at the end of the day, the best build is the one you feel comfortable mastering.

Throne and Liberty Class Tier List 2025 (Updated 3.1.0)

PvE Weapon Tier List

In PvE, weapons are ranked based on end-game boss damage, dungeon utility, and group farming performance. Ordering within each tier reflects high-level play with best-in-slot gear.

S-Tier (Top Picks)

Crossbow + Dagger – The bread and butter DPS build. Huge single-target burst, consistent sustained damage, and amazing mobility.

Dagger + Greatsword – Best melee DPS pairing. High bursts, mobility, and survivability.

Staff + Dagger – Extremely popular thanks to long range, AOE power, nearly unlimited mana, and dagger passives.

Longbow + Staff – The ultimate long-range artillery combo, offering near-unlimited range and massive AOE bursts.

Sword + Greatsword – The tank cornerstone. If you want instant dungeon queues, this is the build.

Sword + Wand (Paladin) – Tank + Healer hybrid, capable of soloing bosses and supporting full parties.

Longbow + Wand – A surprisingly strong healing build after recent skill specializations, now a core PvE option.

A-Tier (Strong, Flexible)

Crossbow + Staff – Huge damage and AOE potential, but the range mismatch takes practice.

Crossbow + Longbow – Consistent single-target pressure, though not as burst-heavy as dagger pairings.

Staff + Wand – The “classic mage.” Can flex between high DPS AOE or full healer setups.

Dagger + Crossbow – Excellent, but more often played with Crossbow as the main hand.

B-Tier (Niche, situational)

Crossbow + Greatsword – Solid stats, but overshadowed by dagger synergy.

Longbow + Dagger – Can reach near-S-tier damage with gear, but lacks AOE farming efficiency.

Sword + Dagger – Tanky but with less overall value than Greatsword or Wand combos.

Wand + Dagger – Good in open-world farming, weaker in structured group PvE.

C-Tier (Weak or Awkward)

Any combination forcing melee and ranged weapons together without synergy (e.g., Greatsword + Staff, Longbow + Sword, Crossbow + Wand). These builds can work casually, but in high-end PvE, they lack the tools to compete.

PvP Weapon Tier List

PvP rankings consider both small-scale skirmishes and large-scale ZERG battles. What you hold in your main hand matters less, since you can activate off-hand skills freely, but your survivability, CC, and burst window execution matter most.

S-Tier (Dominant in PvP)

Crossbow + Dagger – Perfect assassin build. Pick off squishies and escape with stealth and mobility.

Dagger + Greatsword – The ultimate melee burst combo. Dash, chain CC, delete targets instantly.

Dagger + Sword – A frontline terror. Tanky, evasive, and capable of wrecking enemy backlines.

Greatsword + Sword – The immovable frontline. Soaks damage while dealing scary bursts.

Sword + Wand (Paladin) – Nearly unkillable in large-scale fights. Provides heals, damage, and tanking.

Staff + Dagger – Killboard favorite. Huge burst, high AOE, mobility, and survivability.

Wand + Sword / Longbow / Staff – Flexible healer/support combos. Every group needs these.

A-Tier (Very strong but matchup-dependent)

Greatsword + Crossbow – Dangerous in duels, reliant on landing stuns.

Longbow + Dagger – High crit potential, strong in larger fights, weaker in close duels.

Staff + Wand – AOE nukes + healing = strong group PvP presence.

Wand + Dagger – One of the best large-scale engagers, mixing CC, healing, and mobility.

B-Tier (Playable but limited)

Crossbow + Staff/Longbow/Wand – Lacks synergy for consistent PvP wins.

Wand + Crossbow – Can work, but doesn’t match higher-tier burst or sustain.

Staff + Crossbow – Strong damage but fragile in melee-heavy PvP.

C-Tier (Not Recommended)

Sword paired with Crossbow, Longbow, or Staff.

Greatsword with Longbow, Staff, or Wand.
These builds simply don’t complement each other in PvP, leaving you vulnerable to burst and without enough utility to justify them.

How the Meta Feels After Patch 3.1.0

Patch 3.1.0 didn’t directly rework weapons, but it did indirectly affect gameplay:

Matchmaking is cleaner, especially on new servers, making group comp matter more. Tanks and healers are in higher demand than ever.

Battleground pacing changed with earlier Thunder Breaker spawns and longer capture times, making CC-heavy builds (Dagger, Sword, Wand) even more valuable.

Quality-of-life fixes (crafting, gathering, UI) free up players to focus more on optimized group content, meaning meta builds get highlighted even further.

The bottom line: assassin-style dagger combos, tanky Sword/Greatsword builds, and flexible healer Wand combos remain king.

Throne and Liberty’s weapon system is meta-driven but player-driven. Crossbow/Dagger assassins dominate DPS charts, Staff/Dagger casters rain AOE death, and Paladin Sword/Wand tanks refuse to die — but all of that could change with the next balance pass.
