How Pet Needs Work
Every Need completed = 100 XP.
Pets pass through 5 stages: Newborn, Junior, Pre-Teen, Teen, and Post-Teen.
Completing the required number of Needs at each stage levels your pet up.
Once a pet finishes Post-Teen, it becomes Full Grown.

Age-Up Potions
Instead of grinding, you can use Age-Up Potions to instantly advance your pet. The new update shows how many potions each rarity needs:
- Common: 1 potion
- Uncommon: 2 potions
- Rare: 2 potions
- Ultra-Rare: 4 potions
- Legendary: 7 potions
Guide
Use the Pet Pen – With passive leveling, even offline progress counts. Always keep four pets inside to maximize growth.
Focus on Legendaries in Pens – Since they require the most XP (18,300), save your manual grinding for rares and ultra-rares.
Combine with Releaser – If you don’t want to grind commons and uncommons, release them for points toward eggs.
Save Age-Up Potions – Best used on legendary pets, since they need the most needs. Using potions on commons is inefficient.
Track XP Efficiently – Each Need is worth 100 XP, so you can calculate exactly how many tasks are left before the next stage.
This new system dramatically reduces grind time for mid-tier pets and makes neon building more accessible. Commons and uncommons are now lightning-fast to grow, while legendaries remain a long-term project — unless you save up potions. With the Pet Pen and Releaser working alongside this rebalance, Adopt Me feels much smoother for both casual and dedicated players.
