Bacon’s Revenge Guide – Tips, Tricks & Strategies
Do your dailies.
The rewards for dailies are actually quite good even if you are not at the pinnacle of your servers hierarchy. Exorcism Path is a good source of gem refine potions, star-up stones and random essence. Trial Peak provides chest keys, star-up stones and gold coins. Mist Forest is probably most important of all in terms of importance.
This is where you will get your gear from. It also provides an abundance of gems and items needed to level gear. The higher level your Mist Forest is the better items you will get. Tower is a good source of trove shards and star-up stones as well as a few other miscellaneous useful things.
Gift codes are given out weekly in the discord channel marked gift-codes and there are some permanent codes to take advantage of if you scroll all the way up.

Join a guild. There are rewards you can acquire participating in the guild system and powerful passive buffs based on the level of your guild.
Fruits are a requirement. They massively boost your damage and have unique modifiers to boost all kinds of things. You definitely want to pick a weapon that has a corresponding fruit as your main damage dealer.
Build support items. There are a lot of items that buff/debuff. You want a good spread of these items they will be invaluable to your progression. Just remember that you only need one or two of these items each per run because space is finite and every support item you build means less of your main damage weapon.
Armor
You should always use a Magic Hat or two for the magic damage buff and Gloves for the physical attack speed buff depending on your item types. Gloves are almost always useful simply for the shield it generates to protect your hp. Sometimes you need more hp/shields than that to do the job. In this case the Buckler and the Belt are invaluable. I will give an example. If you have 10 Rosefinch Feather Fans you might be better off with 8 and a Buckler.
You would be giving up less than 20% of your damage because not all 10 will be fruited and you will have other sources of damage as well but you will gain a massive amount of hp and shield regeneration from the buckler and/or a decent amount of bonus healing and health on top of a clutch hp proc from the belt. Just remember you probably won’t need these on wave 3 so hold off until the later half before you start building preferably.
Economy, economy, economy. Don’t skip on the Purses. They give money per level. This makes them far more valuable when you get them in the early levels and conversely less valuable in the later levels. I generally only get 2 t4 Purses, sometimes I will build a third if the rng is really kind but 2 seems to be more than enough because….
The Wealth Basin/Loki/Scythe/fruit interactions effect on the game economy. This is an advanced tip and something I play around every game for a strong economy. The Wealth Basin gives coins based on how many coins you have. The Loki/Scythe give free levels to your items so you will no longer be manually crafting them. Just place the t1/t2 damaging item in your bag and let Loki/Scythe level them for you.
Around wave 4 or 5 you should have at least 1 or 2 t4 weapons, this is where the interplay happens. You are fishing for fruit, when you get a fruit stop rolling your coins and let Wealth Basin work for you. With good rng you can end up with hundreds and potentially thousands of coins in the last few levels to dump on the armor needed for the wave 20 boss. You stop rolling because you can only get 1 fruit per level per item type as far as I can tell.
It might be possible to get a second identical fruit but I’ve never seen it and fruit are MASSIVE damage. Just remember Loki only works 5 times per upgrade so don’t be afraid to dump a t4 for a fresh t1 if it means your upgrades keep rolling. The damage isn’t great and later it gets to be down right pitiful. I also commonly dump them altogether(I build two Lokis)wave 19/20 to build armor if I have good rng and a hefty bank built up.
Gems
Gems are very very important. The end game goal is crit/cd/dmg/crit dmg gems with excess crit rate converted to crit dmg on boots. Helm has a nasty random damage gem. Chest has an dmg buff for every identical item gem that’s very good. There is even increased damage on death gem for the necklace.
Experience gems are extremely good. The level cap is 29 and ideally you want to hit it on wave 19 or early wave 20. You get so much from capping levels, from free resources early game to big damage/cd rolls on level up. Not to mention recurring income per stage(5/10 per stage increments, both are better the earlier you get them)
Movement speed reduction gems. I gave these their own place because they are that important. You want them. With few exceptions you will always stack these to the moon. Don’t fight it, just do it.
Runes are important, get them. The smaller ones are better than the bigger ones.
Weapon
Weapon prayer has a standard gameplay, at least for me. I roll minimum until I see something I want then I roll maximum a maximum of two times, get what I get and move on.
Don’t level your weapons if you don’t have a reason to. Outside of global damage increases on level up(ie at 2 stars fire weapons boost all other fire weapons) let it sit so you can use it for your daily rewards.
Save for events. Events are good, you get everything from unique items to cheap resources.
Don’t use movement speed gems in Trial Peak and don’t use experience gems in Exorcism Path.
Raiding is king of xp. Fish for stamina from the Daily Shop with your extra gems and if you get lucky dump your extra stamina into raids. And don’t be shy about letting the cafeteria build up if you get good Daily Shop rng. You won’t have rng on your side every day and it’ll help you keep doing your mists.
Quick explanation of forging gear. Enhance is a global gear level that you keep when you swap gear. Upgrade Quality is per individual piece and this is how you get your current gear to higher tiers. Refine is how you change the random rolls and remove is how you destroy gear to gather materials for upgrades.
Be mindful of your weapon blueprints. If you’re using a 2 slot weapon as you main damage dealer don’t burn all your 2 slot weapon blueprints on weapons you won’t use.
Have fun and hug your family. If you don’t have family, hug your pet. If you don’t have pets, hug some grass.
