Haikyuu!! Fly High Beginner Guide Wiki (2025 Edition)

1. Stamina Management: The Core of Your Progression

Stamina (Energy) is one of the most limited and important resources in the game. It’s used to complete most game modes that give EXP, items, and currency. Here’s how to get the most of it:

How to Get Stamina:

  • Buy from the “+” button (top bar):
    • You can buy stamina 8 times per day using gems.
    • It gets more expensive with each use, but early on, it’s very worth the investment.
  • Onigiri Supply (Event Tab):
    • Check the “Onigiri Collection” event for time-based stamina rewards.
    • Example: One supply is available between 11 AM–2 PM and another at 7 PM (game time). Set reminders!
  • Afternoon Nap (Training Program Missions):
    • Found under Training Program > Afternoon Nap.
    • Level this up by completing your daily missions to increase your stamina cap and regeneration.

Important Tip:

Once you’ve used all these stamina sources — that’s it for the day, so spend it wisely on content that progresses your team!

2. Free Summons: Use Gift Codes

Redeeming codes can grant useful rewards like tickets and gems.

Current Active Code:

  • HAIKYU2025 → Free 10 Summons

Check community Discords, Twitter, or the YouTube channel for new codes regularly.

3. Understanding the Gacha System

How to Get New Players:

  • Unlock the Gacha menu early in-game to access character summons.
  • Summons are done using Red Recruit Tickets or Gems.

Recommendation for Beginners:

  • Pull strong units like Nishinoya, who are great early and synergize well with many bonds.

4. Team Building & Lineup Explained

Your team consists of 7 players:

  • 6 active players
  • 1 libero (automatic substitution in the back row)

How the Libero Works:

  • Go to Team > Substitution Settings
  • Choose which position the libero substitutes (e.g., middle blocker, wing spiker)
  • The libero only activates when the assigned role is in the back row

Positioning Matters:

  • Your #1 slot is the server.
  • Use the Rotate button to position your best server (e.g., Ushijima) at the front.

5. Bonds and School Buffs

Two Types of Bonds:

  1. School Bonds:
    • Having 4 characters from the same school (e.g., Karasuno) activates powerful school-wide buffs.
  2. Character Bonds:
    • Some characters provide team-wide or paired buffs when deployed together.
    • Example: Tanaka + Nishinoya = team morale gain on scoring.

Tip: Always review a character’s bond list before committing them to your lineup.

6. Lineup Speciality (Setter Type)

The setter you use determines your team’s playstyle:

Setter Type Strong Against Weak Against
Quick Attack (e.g., Kageyama) Block Receive
Receive Quick Power
Block Power Quick
Power Receive Block

Strategy Tip:
Use two setters on your team to switch styles depending on the enemy lineup.

7. Skill Upgrades and Dupes (Duplicates)

What to Do with Duplicate Characters:

  • Use them to upgrade your skills via the “Growth Skills” section.
  • Each duplicate levels up a random skill on that character.

Skill Resonance Bonuses:

  • As skill levels increase, characters unlock:
    • Stat boosts
    • Passive bonuses
    • Skill enhancements

Example:

  • At a certain resonance level, your character might gain +10% base stats or unlock new active abilities.

8. How to Get a UR Character (Free-to-Play Friendly)

Yes — URs are guaranteed with enough saving!

UR Summon Pity System:

  • 100 Summons = Guaranteed 1st copy
  • 140 Summons = Guaranteed UR pity

Red Ticket Cost:

  • Each summon = 150 Gems
  • Total gems needed from 0: 21,000 Gems

Daily Gem Earning Potential:

  • You can earn 800–900 gems per day from:
    • Dailies
    • Achievements
    • Events
    • Gift codes and redemptions

Estimation:

  • ~20–25 days of saving = Guaranteed UR

Tip: Don’t waste gems. Save for UR banners and track red ticket giveaways.

Conclusion: Quick Beginner Tips Recap

  • Spend stamina efficiently — it’s limited.
  • Prioritize Milk Vouchers, Red Tickets, and Bonds over random upgrades.
  • Learn the team-building meta early: positioning, setters, and bonds matter.
  • Use dupes to level up skills — this is your real character progression.
  • Save gems! URs are grindable, not exclusive to spenders.
  • Join Discords, watch guide videos, and check for new codes.
