The latest Basketball Zero Fetch & Quick Update brings a slam dunk of fresh content with two brand-new styles—Quick and Fetch, a new shot contest system, a Sniper chemical reaction, and a long-awaited Ace rework. If you’re eager to step up your game, here’s everything you need to know about this exciting update.
Basketball Zero Fetch & Quick Update – Ace Reworks & Codes
New Shot Contest System
To balance gameplay and increase skill-based outcomes, a shot contest mechanic has been introduced. When an opposing player is in front of you while shooting, your shot may miss based on their distance and a chance factor.
- Why this matters: Previously, scoring was too easy. This new system adds challenge and rewards better aim and strategy.
- Dev note: This is experimental—if the community dislikes it, the devs are open to tweaking or removing it.
Quick Style – Speed Is the Name of the Game
The Quick style lives up to its name, offering blazing speed and high mobility. This style is designed for agile players who like to dash across the court and support teammates effectively.
Base Abilities
- Dash: A short burst of speed usable only without the ball. Great for repositioning.
- Boost: Temporarily increases your running speed—perfect for fast breaks or chasing down loose balls.
Awakening Abilities
- Awakening Cutscene: A hilarious scene where Quick yells at his legs and breaks chains, bursting into a full-speed sprint.
- Speed: Boosts movement speed with slick visuals and energetic effects. The camera zooms in on your legs before a dramatic speed-up.
Quick is great for support players and those who want to zoom around the court. The abilities and awakening give a real edge in fast-paced play.
Fetch Style – Hustle and Possession Control
Fetch is all about rebounding, retrieving the ball, and keeping possession. Inspired by the idea of chasing and retrieving, this style has a fun theme and effective abilities.
Base Abilities
- Dive: Makes your character dive for the ball—ideal for rebounds or blocked shots.
- Floater: A new layup mechanic using a one-handed shooting motion, allowing mid-range finesse shots.
Awakening Abilities
- Awakening Cutscene: A cinematic sequence starting with a zoom into the eyes, followed by a dog whistle, barks, and a dramatic dive—ending with a confident pose.
- Catch: Triggers when an enemy passes or shoots near you. Your character dives and snatches the ball with a unique animation. There are two versions depending on whether it’s a pass or a shot.
Verdict: Fetch is ideal for players who focus on rebounds, interceptions, and creative shot play. Plus, the animations are fun and visually impressive.
Sniper Style – New Chemical Reaction Ability
A chemical reaction mechanic has been added for the Sniper style, triggered under specific conditions:
How to Activate
- Be in Sniper awakening mode.
- Stand at or beyond the three-point line.
- Receive a pass from a teammate while you’re in the air.
This triggers a high-energy cutscene referencing popular basketball anime moments. It’s a great way to give Sniper mains more impact and flair.
Ace Style Rework – Old Favorite, New Moves
The mythical Ace style, one of the original playstyles in Basketball Zero, has been revamped with better visuals, more complex dribbling, and brand-new cutscenes.
Updated Abilities
- Instinct Dash (Off-ball): Dashes you toward the ball for 2 seconds. Useful for closing gaps or chasing loose balls.
- Athletic Fade: Now faster, giving you a better shot window and a higher chance to score.
Awakening Abilities
- 100% Drive: A cutscene starts behind the player with a dribbling animation. Players can control the movement path and spam spacebar to speed up. If you end up near the basket, it finishes with a mid-air slam dunk.
- Missile: A powerful dash-shot ability. Your character dashes diagonally (based on A or D input), picks up the ball, and fires it toward the hoop. Works as a 2 or 3-pointer depending on positioning.
Verdict: The Ace rework brings a classic style back into the spotlight, now more dynamic and unpredictable than ever.
Bonus Additions: Emotes, Cosmetics & Zones
This update isn’t just about gameplay. New emotes, cosmetics, and zones have also been added to let players express themselves and personalize their experience.
