Welcome to Capybara Go Skysplitter Guide. Not including true damage, endgame Skysplitter has a damage split of 80% Skill Dmg and 20% Basic Atk Dmg. This means it is much more effective to scale the damage of your skills (Sword Chi and Rage).
Everything is scaled by your ATK, obviously. With capped Combo Rate and Combo Count, Combo Mastery is OP.
Judgment Ring is more effective than Dragon Ball Ring.
Sword Chi is affected by Skill Damage, Physical Damage, and Sword Chi Damage.
Pirate Swordsman can proc a Sword Chi on the same hit as a combo, providing up to 2 Sword Chis per attack.
Rage Skill is affected by Skill Damage and Rage Skill Damage.
Heaven’s Mark needs more testing. Not sure if it’s scaled by Skill, Physical, or Sword Chi Damage.
Mythic Skysplitter %HP true damage has a damage cap of 10x your ATK (11x with 10* Arcana).
True damage cannot be affected by anything (other than ATK for the cap).
When you have Mythic Judgment Ring, you’re nearly capped on Skill Crit Damage. This makes Crit Mastery somewhat ineffective.
Crit Damage is capped at 500%.
Is Skysplitter Worth Playing Below Mythic?
There’s a misconception that Skysplitter is completely unusable below Mythic. That’s not true—it’s actually pretty good.
It’s true that there are better weapons at Epic/Legendary (namely Whisperer, Reaper Staff, and Durian Hammer), but Epic/Legendary Skysplitter still:
Does excellent damage with Sword Chi on combo + increased Sword Chi damage at Legendary.
Has great survivability in chapters, being able to utilize nearly every form of recovery:
- Recovery Sword Chi
- Life Steal
- Rage Heal
- Dagger Healing
- Hits Recovery
- Enhanced Recovery
If you want to keep your spending low and stick with a Legendary Skysplitter for a while, your build and progression will be perfectly fine.
If your build feels like it’s underperforming, you probably have low Combo Rate and Combo Limit. Just getting Diego + capping Combo Rate will do wonders.
What pets should I use?
Early: Unicorn + Slime King + Little Elephant for heal OR Ice Wind Fox for freeze
Endgame: Elsa + Freya + Unicorn
Unicorn provides more damage than statued Slime King Only use Slime King if you need the combo rate
Little Elephant dropped because Dragon Breath Chest carries Combo Mastery
Should I use Judgment Reaper or Ghost Hero?
Epic Reaper vs Ghost Doll – Both mediocre. Go with whatever provides you with more stats
Leg Reaper vs Ghost Doll – Reaper
Leg Reaper vs Crybaby – Reaper for damage, Crybaby for survivability
Mythic Reaper vs Ghost Princess – Reaper for damage, Ghost Princess for survivability
Both if you don’t need KOTE for that content.
What inheritance/legacy tree should I use?
Ghost is the endgame choice.
If your combo rate is bad, then you can use Skeleton temporarily.
You can choose to further progress Skeleton if you want the equipment levels earlier.
